Timestamp Day : 14th Month : Tessera Year : Year 81377 [] denotes mind speech OOC: Oh, and I'm looking for one or two roomies for Vin to board with, male or female whatever age or personality. We can either say they've always been in the dorm together, or could recently move in. Either way! So yeah, just lemme know if you're interested. How long, typically, does it take to pursue a libel claim? Vinramas tapped the blunt end of the pencil and stared at the question, fervently wishing sometimes he could burn a hole through things if he looked at them long enough. [ Ugh, how in Tanastlasei should I know... This chapter is like 70 pages long. ] Said book is filed through manually after checking the glossary. After brushing a paw against the soft bristles of his hair, the hardcover manual is snapped shut with an audible 'thwomp.' [ I can't do this anymore. I need a break. ] The desk lamp is switched off to conserve energy and the door is thrown open, Rama once more grateful to the silent hinges. Milk blue eyes scan each end of the hallway before he finally ventures forward, the habit of checking the vicinity still habit from his days in the forest. True to their form, the well-padded feet conceal the yellow ochre form as he leaves the dorm - and homework - behind him. Where exactly is he going: why, for a fly of course.
Koyota approached the room and stood outside. She ahd not seen Vin leave and asumed the room was empty. She looked down at a peice of paper she was carrying and aread it carefully. This is the right room... She opened the door and went in. ((ooc:fear the shortness! sorry its so short but i have writers block))
Close to rounding the first corner, something very forest-like in coloration stole his attention from his current destination. [ Is that /my/ room she's going into? ] Miffed a such a thought, the lawyer-in-training expelled air through his teeth in a brusque growl/sigh and tracked back to his room with more ardor in his step than his previous meandering. Once he reached the portal, his form filled up the entrance way, mostly due to his wings being held slightly poised above his head. "Hey, what is it you're doing in here?" Bypassing using mental speech since he tended to find such communication impersonal, his words came out slightly edged with annoyance, but also tightly wound with control.
"Its my room! See!" Koyota was a little startled and lost control of herself for a second. The next thing she knew she was standing in front of a golden brown pendragon staring into two blazing ice blue eyes, holding the paper she had copied the room number on in front of his face. Suddenly she withdrew the paper and stared with red eiree eyes at the pendragon. She would not have read his mind, she lost control of herself when she read the minds of others. She widened her eyes suddenly relizing a startleing fact. Not a room mate!!!! She looked the pendragon up and down, not an altogether unagreable roommate but still. She was not a real social pendragon and had hoped to the point of convincing herself that she would not have a roommate. She sighed and ajusted her bag on her shoulder. "I..I think we are roommates."
Vinramas, once done pushing the glamorous (or lack thereof) effect of his recent appearance, arcs an eyebrow towards the barely-of-age female pendragon and chews on his upper lip. "Is that so? Well, it was bound to occur sometime or another.. I guess this room is now as much yours as it is mine." Living like a care-free slob for the past several weeks since his last roomate had graduated has really not done the room much justice. It's ample in size, allowing the comfort for two or even three adult pendragons and their respective junk to coinhabit. Â A quick tidy session sees a cloak hung up, books stacked, leftovers horded and private things placed back into private quarters. "I had the luxury of living by myself for a few weeks, so you'll have to step over or wade through my stuff while I find a place for it." Although the other bed wasn't touched by paw or object, so that's still freshly made. Albeit the only thing still untampered with in the room. "I'm Vinramas, by the way, Law student." Head inclining slightly in salutation, the young male tries a repressed grin on for size. Nothing eye-blinding, but a little something to show he means no ill-will. Giving the impression of being a total ogre will be saved for future use no doubt somewhere along the line.
Changing dorms. Again. This was really getting annoying. Why in Fronima couldn't the Staff get their act together? Twice he had been sent to different dorms, both times meeting 'dragons with whom he could have gotten along... Only to find that the Janardan staff had given him the wrong number. Twice ! What a day... he thought. So, this is it? He muttered softly as he reach the door of his dorm-to-be (hopefully). Room XXVII. Yes, this was it, this was what was written on the paper they had given him. The door was open and he could hear voices coming from inside... Taking a deep breath, he entered. Hello?
Koyota watched as he tidied up the room. She really didnt need that much space...She walked tentively over the many debris on the floor to a bed, nearly steping in....whatever that was. She set her bag on the bed and took out her dagger, taking care that he was turned away before she stashed it in the nightstand drawer. She put her notebook and pencil on the top of it before looking back over at Vin. She wanted to laugh at the smile plastered on the kind golden face, but she didnt, she was out of practice. She tried a smile, the second time since she had entered the school. What was it with these pendragons and smiling, and why did she always feel abliged to smile back? The smile was unatural so she dropped it. "Im Koyota." She was rather quiet and shy, but that was only with people she did not know. They could not be trusted. Only when she knew about them and she knew what to expect could she be her true self. Suddenly she heard someone at the door. She paw went from instinc to the drawer of the nightstand, but did not reach it for she saw it was no danger. She thought she should greet the newcomer, it was only polite. "Hello."
Ruffling his hair with his paw, Kuentin began, rather rapprehensively. ... My name is Kuentin Arniera. I'm an Apprentice in both Healing and Dark Magic and... Err... I guess I'll be sharing this room with you two this year. That is, of course, if the Staff hasn't sent me to the wrong place - again. What a mess... he thought as he looked around. But it was quite alright. He had seen worse. Besides, he'd get used to it.
Believing that his new clubbies were mostly on the introspective side of the spectrum, Vinramas's mind became slightly more at ease. Having to live with two new faces all of a sudden would be a test for anyone's resilience. Never the less, a calm moue is given to the newest cellmate - or rather roomie. "The fold out bed is right over there, facing south." How in blazes Vin knows the cardinal directions is anyone's guess in this sunless sanctuary. "Well met, Kuentin, I'm called Vinramas and you'll find I'm much less of a slob when I have to crash with other people." Â This probably wasn't going to be a happy-bouncy tri-friendship like Three's Company, but let's hope they can at least tolerate one another as they co-exist.
Kuentin walked up to the fold out bed, an uneasy smile plastered on his face. He would have liked to have a real, proper bed, but, oh well, what did it matter? Â "Jalauta..." he whispered softly. Nothing happened. He blinked uneasily, hoping something would happen - he'd look very silly otherwise. He was about ot give up and open the bed himself when it finally did open. The bed was fairly big, and seemed comfortable enough. Smiling, genuinely this time, he sat himself on it, pouring all of his belongings out of his small satchel, onto the mattress: A tooth brush, some parchments, a couple of books, a quill and a bottle of olive green ink ... There it was, he had found what he had been looking for - the carefully packed strands of dry Reyhant meat his Aunt had given him before he had left for Janardan. They were his favourites. He quickly gathered his stuff in a neat-ish pile and began chewing at a piece. Â - D'you want some? He offered, looking at the other two.
OOC: I know I'm posting out of turn, but I thought I would for the sake of keeping the post alive.. IC: The milk-blue eyes of Vinramas opened wider, his eyebrows ascending higher as a result of Kuentin's verbal prowess. "Wow, if I would have known I could do that, I would have taken /that/ bed." Traipsing closer, the golden pendragon scrutinizes the wall bed from several different angles, wondering, physically, how in the heck that just happened. Upon the other male's request and offering of jerky, Vin hesitated. He had no wish to deplete the newcomer's stash, yet didn't want to appear rude. So, a compromise was reached. "I'll just have one, thanks man." A thin strip of meat is single-handedly gnawed and swallowed whole. He always did have a soft spot for the stuff.. "So," using a bared claw to pick the remnants out from between his carnassial teeth, Vinramas leaned his form against the wall. "You work with magic, huh? Tell me, do you always use vocal commands or are there spells and hand motions to master too?"
((ooc: I am sooo sorry for my late reply, I have no good exuse so I wont make one up but I am sorry.)) Koyota hesitated slightly for a moment but decided to have some, but only because it was offered. "Thank you." She said timidly. She grabbed a peice and sat down on her bed gnawing at the meat. Her eyes twitched from one pendragon to the other. She suddenly felt very uncomfortable. She siged and made the best of it. She was glad when Vin started a conversation, although she did not know much on the subject.
"Very few know this, but most items in the Academy have been charmed to react when the right spells are summoned. Well, that's what my room-mate told me last year. He showed me this one. Seems to work. Wish I knew more of those incantations though, they'd be useful." He explained, gnawing at his strand of Reyhant meet. " So, for how long have you two been at the Academy? I've been stuck here forever. Well, only 4 years, I guess. And, don't get me wrong, I actually like the place, I just wish they'd be more organised."
