Just a reminder to Ramath-lehiers that Earth hour (http://www12.earthhourus.org/) is tonight, so shut those lights off and turn some candles on. Not sure what you're going to do during that hour? You could always: Have a beeswax candlelit bath! (with or without a partner) Play hide n' go seek in the dark. Scaaarrrry! Psh, leave the house and go for a night hike! Catch fireflies in a jar and use them to read a book. Practice your brail. ;) Meditate! Rediscover some constellations! Tell scary stories! Baha, use the night's cover and do some grafitti. :o Make dreams. Create music with friends. Have a seance. Shadow puppets theatre!
My lights are usually off anyways XD The only thing thats on is maybe my tv and/or my comp. My parent always have lights off unless their needed. XD Oooo. i should find my moms stash of scented candles! MMMmmmm. nummy!
Just finished it, my eyes hurt. It was nice to just sit with my cat for an hour, forget about all the work I have to do tomorrow.
I read my latest issue of Nintendo power by candle light, I even managed to spill wax on one of the pages :p I only had 3 candles in my room and one of them was pretty much dead already and one of the others burnt out half was through. I was afraid I wasn't go to make it for a while, but my last candle came through, dying at 3 minutes after nine.
i'm afraid that if i bring a candle into my room it'll burn then start a fire becasue of all the drawings and book's in there, also i have many unstable stacks of junk in the room too. so i just joined my family in a game of 'go fish'.
y'know i feel really sad, cause everything was set up for the hour and then i didn't even realize it was past 8. By the time i got settled it was close to nine, so i was feeling kinda like "well that was dumb*** move on my part ^^"
i had a family party too, but it was all candlelit. i ended up playing poker (learning how to play poker!) and it was all fun and games. on the topic of candles: i have enough in my room to light it up. you just have to be careful not to knock any down. i mean, it's not like my room isn't full of paper junk, because... it is. :)
