Timestamp: 11 Mia (Winter), 81380 Character: Sejv Massit Sejv waiting in a corridor of the guild next to two massive double doors, he was waiting for Chz. He sighed to himself pleasantly, It had been a long time since they had spent anytime together and for the longest time she had been one of his best friends. He was more than just curious to see if they still got along, he hoped so anyway. He stood their in full magical gear, his best blue robe with all its fine embroidery and symbols. His black and grey gloves that almost matched his fur colour exactly and his other little trinkets. He was here to train Chz in magical fighting.
Who: Chz Clothing: Chocolate brown turtleneck, Tan jeans, and a pair of brown boots. Chz headed in the direction of the guild hall. She was excited not only did she get to see Sejv but, she also was going to be trained in magical fighting. For once her all of her classes had went smoothing all week long, and she hadn't once gotten herself kicked out of class. She understood that to progress, with her trades, she would have to try and control her temper more. She smiled as she approached the large building. She considered the guild hall a second home, since that is where she usually could be found besides in several classrooms, the library and her dorm room. She quickly pushed opened a door, and nodded to the guards. Who nodded back to her. She quickly turned down the appropiate corridor and, started walking down it. She listened to all the sounds, and smiled as she turned the corner and immediately spotted Sejv. She walked up to him, and said,"Hello Sejv. I hope you haven't been waiting to long." She didn't think she was running late but, after doing tasks for Magnus here and there, she had trained herself not to dawdle. She smiled, with her green eyes bright with excitement, at Sejv.
Sejv beamed as he heard the little voice of Chz echo through the halls, his eyes sparkling to see her again. He waved at her and grinned as broadly as he could, almost jumping around with anticipation. He tried to act a little serious though after all it was a fight they were going to have. "Hey Chz" He said with a very kind and ecstatic voice, not very sure of what to say though. She he went with the obvious. "And how have you been doing then, lessons ok and that." he asked with a big grin. He wasnÂ’t entirely sure what to do with his arms either, he felt like folding them but that could seem as he was being cold to her. He also didnÂ’t know if he should hug her or not, his head was swimming in ideas really.
Chz let out a laugh and lifted herself up with ease, so that she was eye to eye with him, and leaned forward to give him a hug. After a moment, she set herself down easily. "My lessons are going alright, I have only been kicked out a couple times, for losing control of my temper. I felt the punishment was deserved but, my professors weren't conviced. This week is going well, I haven't been kicked out at all, and I even passed my exams. In other words I didn't get bored and try stupid little stunts." She grinned as she summarized how things have been going for her. She looked over at the doors, and back at Sejv, and raised a brow. "So, shall we go get this started? Or is there anything I should be aware of, rules, others joining in etc etc?" She asked, remembering the last time she didn't find out all the details before hand, and had found herself, tied to up to one of her arden classmates, who had failed to find out. They had been stuck hanging over a mean looking machine, until they finally cooperated long enough, to get themselves unstuck.
Sejv rolled his eyes at her antics, she did have a temper but he didnÂ’t really think it was that bad. Of she focused it into working harder and meaner then it would be good, hitting other people with telekinesis was never a great idea. Still he enjoyed the hug from her, he missed her somewhat, she was one of his best friends. He threw a glance at the doors as she mentioned them. "No not really, its just going to be us and IÂ’m going to be taking it slow with you ok. No fast sudden attacks or anything." He said while he nodded to reassure her. Then he walked over to the doors and pushed them open, it reviled a massive room with a sandy floor. Like an old style roman arena complete with columns and a massive space for an audience, although it was empty now it was still a huge structure. There were little things lying around too, the odd weapon rack with swords, spears and axes and such. Even structures like scaffolding and statues that where chipped. In looked like one big war zone really. "There, the mage training and combat area. We do training and little competitions here. The big wigs like Magnus have the own special private arena that we cant see." He said with a smile.
Chz looked inside the training and combat area, and turned back to Sejv and grinned. "I can imagine some of the competitions that have taken place here." She stepped inside. She was a little nervous, she had never really fought with magic before. She was just beginning to truely understand how to control her pyrokinesis. She continued to look area and turned back to Sejv. "I have to be honest, I am nervous. I haven't really ever fought with magic, and somehow I don't think dropping someone from the ceiling, and burning someone to a crisp really count." If she were around anyone else, she wouldn't have told the truth but, this was Sejv. He is one of her best friends.
Sejv laughed and mused at her comment, some of the fights had truly been amusing and they hadnÂ’t had a single death yet a fair few serious injuries though. One poor arden was skewered through the stomach by a flying spear, but thanks to Magnus he was saved. Magnus was respected for a reason although he was a totally iron heart. However he did care for the guild and occasionally the people in it so every secretly liked him. Yet putting all that aside he turned his attention back to Chz. "Ah donÂ’t worry, the only real rule of fighting with Magic is be inventive. DonÂ’t just sling fireballs and such, you really need to use your brain. The best way to get past someoneÂ’s defences if confuse them and such. Like erm, if they summon a shield, heat it then freeze it. That will cause it to break." He wasnÂ’t sure if that was too complex though. "Erm just try to use a little science with your attacks really and donÂ’t be afraid to use items." He looked around and struck a fancy pose, " So you ready then" he said with a smile, he was looking forward to showing off a little, or at least keeping her on her toes.
Chz listened carefully and slowly nodded. She looked over at Sejv and raised an eyebrow. She looked around at the different objects around the area and took a deep breath. She had no idea if she was going to be able to do this but, she was going to try. She thought about how to start, and quickly dismissed the first idea that came to mind. She walked across the room from where Sejv, was standing and stopped. She had an idea but, was going to quickly figure out if it would work or not. She closed her eyes and locked her legs, and clearly pictured him standing across from her, in his fancy pose. She said the words, peazus arize, and the ground around him started to shake. She kept her concentration up and no more than a dash of fire sprinkled down around him. She felt the air in the room move just right so, she spun around but, kept her eyes closed.
Sejv smiled at her, doing some fancy yet totally pointless and fake kung fu into the air and over the flames, he was mildly impressed with her attack. But still it was nothing he couldnÂ’t handle, if he wanted he could wrestle her mentally for control of the flames. But that was too easy. "Ah well done, combine attacks to make sure you really get them. And donÂ’t worry about hurting me. And the room heals itself so feel free to break it. Like so." He said as his leg was in the middle of high kick. Bringing it down he brought down a gust of air magic which totally blew out the flames, then with a little grin he slammed his fist down into the ground. He timed it with a blast of earth magic so it caused a massive rift in the ground to form, a mini little earth quake splitting the ground open and heading straight towards Chz.
Chz felt her flames go out and then felt the ground move under her. She easily lifted herself upon a a nearby rack avoiding the splitting ground. She had no idea what was under there, and she was most certainly not going to find out at this point of time. She opened her eyes, which where still twinkling with excitement. She raised both hands, and spun in a tight circle causing, a burst of wind and sent it directly at Sejv, only the wind caught a what she always just called a stick looking thing, and it was spinning in circles while, flying at him. She clapped her hands, and the wind flew directly at him. She quickly moved off the rack, and moved a little further away from him. She had no idea if this one would have any effect but, it was one she had learned from watching two thills arguing over something.
Sejv looked at with raised eyebrows, putting a spear into the mix was a little more interesting yet he was still fairly certain he was in control. Drawing on a little more power he encased the spear and swirling air in a block of ice. His breathing a little heavy as he summoned more force up, his hands dancing patterns in the air and saying arcane syllables. "very good, not lets see if you can handle this." He wanted to test how inventive she could be. Drawing his hand back he drew up a massive lump of rock from the ground which formed upwards. It suddenly broke up into different shape pieces but then they seemed to hover together. it looked at Chz with glowing eyes. "A golem, its immune to magic directly so you might want to try something new. Good luck." he said with a grin on his face.
Chz watched closely as Sejv, encased the spear with swirling air in a block of ice. She watched as the golem appeared in front of her, and then changed into shaped pieces. She closed her eyes, and then opened them again. Sure enough the rocks where watching her. She instantly melted the ice from the spear, and pulled it towards her. She picked it up and ran over to a massive statue in the middle of the room. She swung the spear adding as much of her telekinesis as she could without falling over, at the statue. In the next moment, a large piece of the statue fell off. She quickly picked it up and ran over to the weapon rack, and started attatching anything she could manage to pick up. She then looked over at the rocks, and firmly gripped her makeshift shield in front of her. She closed her eyes and started to spin, slowly at first. After a minute she gained enough momentum to start moving towards the golem. She spun herself as tight as she possibly could, and then yelled,"STOP STARING AT ME!" She released herself on the last word, and was spinning hitting the rocks in anyway that she could. She kept her eyes closed, otherwise she would be flat on her arse.
The golem started to walk menacingly toward Chz, waving its fists around stupidly. Sejv wasnÂ’t actually paying much attention to the golem, instead he was looking very puzzled at Chz who seemed to be building her own little golem to fight it. That or she was just trying to spin around again, he had noticed that most of her attacks involved spinning. He was however mildly surprised at her ingenuity and improvisation, hitting a golem with a massive lump of spinning and spiky rock was certainly novel. He watched fascinated as not only did she scream at it but considering her eyes where closed, her aim was pretty good. The golem just stared as the massive lump of rock shattered on its chest, but it caused the whole thing to tip over and explode into about a hundred different pieces. A spear stuck in a lump of rock was all that was really left. "Wow, nicely done." He said with a little smirk.
Chz opened her eyes, and realized as she landed directly on her arse, that it had been a mistake to open them. She layed down, and groaned as the room spinned in circles. "Thanks but, ugh I haven't quite learned how to control the dizzyness yet." After a moment, she sat back up. She looked over at Sejv and grinned. "Ok well, at least the room has stopped spinning but, I can't feel my legs at the moment." She couldn't help but, laugh at herself.
He walked over to her with a smile on his face, then he drew his sword and pointed to her. Stopping at her body then lowering it again, he smiled but sighed at little too. "You lose" He said with another little laugh, he wasnÂ’t expecting her to pull of anything over spectacular but her fascination with spinning on the spot was her main defeat. "Right you lost because you tired yourself out with killing the golem but left me unharmed." He looked at her with a little smile before helping her up, easily picking her to her feet. "You need to use your mind to spin things instead of your body, or if something is too big just slow it down then attack the Mage again. As impressive as you taking out the golem was, it did nothing to help you win. If this wasnÂ’t training you would be dead." Finishing off his serious tone. "But if ya wanna try again thatÂ’s ok, or if you want to just practice some attacks that ok too." he said with his playful tone returning, he didnÂ’t want this whole thing to be too serious.
Chz took Sejvs hand and smiled as he helped her up. She thought about his words, for a moment. She looked up at him and said,"Yes, I realize how and why I lost. I just wanted to try something different but, obviously this idea isn't very useful in this particular area. I am feeling quite tired and I don't think I could actually concetrate on doing anymore training done." She closed her eyes for a moment, took a deep breath and opened them back up. ooc: gah sorry for the short post.
