As of yet, if Matt came in he'd easily be able to see her whole wardrobe. It didn't really matter anyways, they were living together and he'd likely see her in all sorts of crap anyways. All of her black and gothic dresses were hung up in the closet. There wasn't much, she rarely wore fancy and dressy stuff. She'd sat on the bed for a few minutes, taking a break and thinking about things. She was wearing just a simple orange mid-drift bearing tube top, which matched her eyes, and a pair of black jeans that were torn at the knees. Today she'd chosen to sport about 15 bracelets that were black and a thin plastic material. There weren't any home made tattoos so to speak, her pens and inks were still stowed away in her box of crap in the corner. <span style='color:green'>"Hey Matt.. What do you want to eat tonight?"</span> No.. She wasn't an awesome cook. Macaroni and cheese was the only thing she could cook that was edible. Even she laughed at her own pathetic cooking.
Matt was pushing his last box though the door when she called. The place was great, it had loads more room. he was still getting used to sharing though, he had let her have the closet, she was a girl and they had way more clothes anyway. His ears twitched to hear her words, he wanted food. Sliding the last box with his rest he closed the dorm door and answered. "Yeah food sounds great, what ya making" He asked curiously, he wasnÂ’t hungry at first but now thinking about it his stomach was growling. Ignoring it for a moment and flicking open his pen knife he cut open some of the boxes. They had spent the night their yesterday and he need his new clothes before she labelled him as some slob. Taking out some random clothes he went into the bathroom and changed. He came out wearing a pain of black, baggy jeans with white sticking and lots of pockets on them, the bottom of the jeans were all torn up. He was wearing a light purple t shirt with a white rim at the bottom. Like all his t-shirts they were well fitted. he liked them, they showed of his muscles well. His mane was all tussle dup today. A red streak in the middle where his Mohawk should be. He walked into the bedroom smiling at her mess. His bed was next to hers. He went over and sat down. "How goes the unpacking* He asked playfully.
Jade laughed, <span style='color:green'>"What am I making? Well hopefully something edible. But what do you want exactly? I'm willing to take a stab at anything. Well, if you're willing eat it."</span> She stuck her tongue out at him with a grin. Noting he'd brought his box of items in, she quickly walked over to pick up a cute black lacy ensemble. Her cheeks flushed red only for a minute before shoving it in her top drawer. <span style='color:green'>"I'll be right back.."</span> Kicking a pile of her clothes close to the side of her bed, she steps outside the room and heads towards the kitchen. She opens a few of the cupboards, revealing nothing but dust. <span style='color:green'>"I guess we need to stock up on some food then..."</span> She mumbled that bit to herself. <span style='color:green'>"Matt, unless you brought some food.. We're ordering take out. Or we can go to the store. Either way I don't mind.."</span> She walked back to the room, leaning on the doorframe casually. <span style='color:green'>"Oh.. Unpacking is great by the way! Can't you see how organized I am?"</span>
He was smiling at her softly, leaning back on his bed. he had held back his laughter when she found her more risky dress on the floor and blushed. She was so cute when she did that. Lenaing back on his pillow then resting hsi head on the headbored so he could see her. HE was hungry but he didnt want her to leave. "Lets order something, they do deliveries to the school. Its how i get my food." He said with a wicked grin. He didnt eat healthy at all. Teh only thing he cooked was steak. He loved the stuff, yet he never had much money so most of the time he order pizza. Smiling at her leaning on the door frame, he stood up and walked over to her. HIs eyes met hers for a moment, his silver eyes and her mismatched ones. Orange and green, he couldnt help but smile. looking about at nothing for half a second. "So what shall we order then," he said getting out his phone. It was his own personal phone. It was modifed with machina, it could call anywhere for free and never ran out of power. It was kinda see through with a blue light inside.
Jade watched him come from the bed and then closer to her. She couldn't help but grin as he pulled out a phone. She didn't have much use for one, seeing how she didn't know that many people yet. <span style='color:green'>"Uhm.. Well. I'm not like some health fanatic or whatever.. But I've had pizza for the past couple of days. So I don't really want that.. "</span> Her eyes lingered on his phone, it was pretty neat and the blue was just awesome. Blue was just a color she couldn't help but love. She put a finger up to her lips, trying to think of what she could go for.<span style='color:green'> "Steak sounds good. Or chicken. Maybe like.. Steak and.. Potatoes and some veggies? Or whatever comes with it. I'm not too picky."</span> That actually made her think of all the food she hated, Oh well. He'll figure out what I like and don't like eventually.. <span style='color:green'>"Well actually, make sure there aren't any mushrooms.. I hate 'em. They're nasty."</span> Slipping back into the room, she bends over to get her wallet out of her box. <span style='color:green'>"We'll split the price or just pay for our own dish?"</span>
Matt started dialling to the kitchens. He punched in the number and pressed call, he knew the number off by heart, he had lived off it for ages. As the phone called the blue light got brighter. He turned around to see her bending over, he quickly glanced away. he didnÂ’t trust himself. He had gotten a good look though, after all he was a guy. He order some steak thing for them both. "Ah split the thing, IÂ’m having the same as you anyway, steak sounds good and that. Oh and no mushrooms." He smiled at the fact they had the same taste, he hated mushrooms, they were all slimy. It was his turn to lean on the door frame now, he had to admit he was watching her a bit. Ah this was gong to be temptation island, in a way he had agreed to torture, sharing a room with a beautiful girl and not being able to do anything. Yet he didnÂ’t care, he smiled at his own stupidity. Running a hand through his mane.
Jade nodded, standing up to give him whatever was in her wallet. She wasn't poor, she just only took out as much as she needed. Her mouth began to water, simply thinking about steak sounded juicy. Suddenly realizing she hadn't fixed up in a little while, she headed off to the bathroom. She didn't wear much makeup, just a little something here and there. While she was at it, she might as well fix up her hair. <span style='color:green'>"Hey Matt, I'm just going to straighten my hair. I'll be like 10 minutes. If you need the bathroom just give me a shout."</span> Walking out of the bathroom, she pulls her straightening iron from her box and brings it back to the washroom. Plugging it in, the little red light switches on and the clamp immediately starts to heat. She brought the iron to her bangs, pulling it down slowly. She did the rest of her mane in the same fashion, her hair wasn't thick so she didn't have to do it twice. She walks out of the bathroom and sits on the couch, re-adjusting her bangs so he could see her eyes.
Matt had grinned watching her go past into the bathroom, he couldnÂ’t help but think about the road ahead. He was pretty sure good things were about. Smiling absentmindedly as he wandered around the apartment unpacking his stuff. He had brought up his own chest of draws and was packing clothes into them when she had come out. He smiled over to her and saw her sit down. Once again smiling to himself as he pulled out his guitar and stuffed it in the corner of the bedroom before taking a seat next to her. Sitting fairly close to her, his face lit up when he saw both her eyes where showing. "Yours eyes are so amazing, IÂ’ve never seen orange eyes before." He could have said just orange eye, but he thought that would be rude. Plus she didnÂ’t seem to like it, she was always hiding it. For a moment he thought they could do with some T.V. but his was in a box some where and he didnÂ’t want to get up. Suddenly he remembered his phone, pulling it out and pressing buttons. The phone bust into life, music came flowing out of it at near digital quality. It was some softish rock, nothing to heavy, the band was called Jin Quea or something odd. "So what trades do you do" He knew about the tattoos but was intrigued about the others. He wanted to learn more about her tonight.
Jade looked curiously at his guitar, musicians were always fun people to hang around. <span style='color:green'>"So you play then?"</span> Her mind drifted to when she used to play drums back home, she was pretty good but she didn't like to sound cocky. She bit her lip lightly, she wasn't used to showing her eye let alone receiving compliments for it. She actually liked the color.. She just didn't like the history behind it. <span style='color:green'>"Thanks.. Most people haven't. That's why I avoid showing it, I don't want the attention."</span> Her mom was actually the one that told her to hide it, saying she would attract negative people and too much publicity. For that reason, she doesn't actually know what it's like to show it freely. When the music came on, she nearly jumped. She'd forgotten that some phones could do that. The tune was pretty nice, not too loud but good none the less. <span style='color:green'>"Well, one I think you'd already figured out.. Tattoos and such. The other one is where I can move stuff around with my mind. Telekinesis. "</span>
Smiling at her, his gaze locking with hers for a fraction of a second. He grinned though when she mentioned his guitar. It was red with a silver plat under the strings and on part of the front. It suited his black fur nicely. But the best bit was how he had rigged it. He had practiced his machina on that guitar and now it wasnÂ’t even technically legal. Letting the eye subject go he talked about the guitar. "Yeah I play lead, I wanna be in a band sometime but I've never found a group of people that i got on good enough with." He said with a mix of pride and sadness. When she mentioned her telekinesis he was about to say something like oh kewl but just then the dorm door buzzer rang. "DonÂ’t worry I'll get it" jumping over the sofa towards the door. He opened it to find their dinner on a tray being help but some cook guy. He was look impatient his hand outs stretched for the money. Frowning as he handed the guy the full price and grabbed the tray taking it over to her. On the plates where too succulent steaks with some veggie things he didnÂ’t recognise and some nice roasted potatoes thingies. Kicking a packed box over and sliding it in front of the sofa and placing the food their. "Dinner is served" He said with satisfaction. Grinning at his meal. As he begin to eat up he spoke again once he had an empty mouth. He knew his manners. "So teleki stuff, much come in handy he said with a playful hint. He always though of bad things to do with powers. He would be using it to throw paper around in class or snap peoples pens. Stopping his thinking to savour another mouth full. Yet leaving the veggie gunk, he was always suspicious of odd food. To many wanna be assassins.
Jade thought just being part of a band was awesome. She’d always been too shy to show other people how she played, so that resorted in no one knowing she even knew how to play. <span style='color:green'>“That’s still cool though. Maybe you could put an add up or see if anyone else is looking for a guitarist. I’m sure somewhere some one would love to have you."</span> She watched him jump the couch and laughed, with her luck she’d trip and fall flat on her face. That held true even more when she was trying to impress some one. Turning her head to look at the delivery guy, she scowled. No one enjoyed their jobs anymore it seemed; they just wanted it for the money. The least they could do was smile. <span style='color:green'>“They’re fast little cooks aren’t they?"</span> Her lips formed a smile as he got a makeshift table for their food. Immediately after he puts the plate down, she takes it and puts it on her lap. She cut herself a piece of steak first, and then some potatoes. The veggies she left for last, that way if it turned out she didn’t like it she wouldn’t ruin her meal. <span style='color:green'>“This is pretty good."</span> Her plate was cleared of the steak pretty fast, she definitely liked her red meat. <span style='color:green'>“I suppose it could come in handy. I don’t really abuse it much though, it strains my head and sometimes I feel dizzy after."</span>
Finishing his meal, he laughed at the though of advertising him guitar playing. If his machine teacher even saw that guitar he could be kicked out. Supposedly it was unstable. Showed what they knew it had only blew up twice. Yet he could use a different one to play, or just not invite the teacher to see them play. AS he cleared his plate and carried into the kitchen and left it in the sink but first he had scraped him veggie gunk into the bin. "Yeah being in a band would be kewl but I would have to get along with the people, I can be kinda anti social at times." He said solemnly as he walked back to the sofa taking a seat near her, his body a few millimetres from her. When she talked about her headaches from telekinesis, it reminded it of his own powers. Sometimes his head hurt really bad when he used his Biokinesis to much, one time he had bent a tree into a tree house. He had a killer headache afterwards but it was worth it to him. Letting the power subject go he carried on talking about music. "So do you play anything then." he asked softly, in some ways he wasnÂ’t paying attention instead just admiring her exotic looks.
Just as he'd sat down next to her, she jumped off the couch. Great timing.. She silently cursed herself for the timing, but she would have wanted to get rid of the food at some point or later anyways. She finished off her potatoes and nibbled on a few of the vegetables. They weren't terrible but she'd filled herself on the steak. Picking up her own plate, she goes the same route as him to the kitchen; dumping her leftovers into the garbage can. Aching for a drink, she hops over to the fridge. The shelves were void of food, only some cans of coke and from her collection, a new bottle of Vodka. <span style='color:green'>"D'you want a coke?"</span> She snapped open her own can, the foam spilling over the sides before she put it up to her mouth and guzzled some of it. The liquid had spilled on the floor, so she simply threw some paper towels on it and cleaned it up with her foot. It was still a little sticky, but she would mop it up later. Smiling, she stepped back into the room and jumped onto the couch. Even if he didn't want it, she brought out a second coke. If he didn't have it, she would.
Watching her get up, enjoying the view for a moment. he was in a bit of a daze. He realised he was staring a bit so he shook his gaze over to his guitar. It got him thinking about music again. Going back to his phone, he changed the song to some slow rock thing, it was like some Ballard with a cool slow beat. The band was one he liked. It was called Upanu, their stuff just sounded so cool. He grinned as she came back, scooting a little closer to her. He found it funny how they both liked to be close to each other yet neither would admit the obvious. Yet smiling at her offer. "Yeah a coke would be great" Taking it and cracking it open. Taking a deep sip and putting it back down. His wings rustled nervously, he hated it, it always gave it away. Shifting slightly. Then asking again. "So do you play anything."
Jade listened to the song, staying quiet for a little bit. It just went in their favor that they both liked the same style of music, well from what she saw. Her tastes varied quite a bit, she liked loud but then she liked mellow. It all depended on her mood. She handed the coke to him, the moisture on the outside of the can making her hand glisten a little bit. Quickly, she wiped it off on her pants, leaving her handprint. Her eyes flickered over to his wings, they were still as beautiful as before but she didn’t act like a schoolgirl around them anymore. Something triggered her attention though, not once had she noticed them, they never moved but stood in angelic grace. She held off her questioning for another time. <span style='color:green'>“Oh.. I played drums for a little while. I played in front of family basically. I was too shy to play with other people in the room. I’m not that great really. But then again, how hard is it to hit a drum, roll the sticks and dually control two base drums and sometimes even a top hat." </span>
He smiled at her, seeing her eyes flicker to his wings. He was fairly sure she didnÂ’t know why they twitched but eventually she would. He spread his wings backwards and leaned into the sofa. Relaxing to the music, he didnÂ’t mind this soft stuff, it was good to relax too. He still loved the head banging, mosh pit songs more though. He loved the pent up anger and aggression in the songs. He placed his own can down on the box. His own make shift table, wiping the dampness of the can off his hand and onto his t-shirt. He grinned as she spoke so simple of the drums. He had tried to play once before but he couldnÂ’t get his hands to move different, he kept getting the beat mixed up or forgetting about the bas drum. Letting out a laugh. "WOW you must have been good if you think its that simple, I play guitar because I cant play drums. I cant work the separate things." He said with a lavish grin. All the while they where talking his wings were seeping a little closer along the sofa. He loved to push his luck. He could honestly see him self getting a smack in the face.
<span style='color:green'>“Nah.. Not really. Well basically you need to keep a beat and know how to play everything at the same time. If you find me a drum set or some one who has one I can give you a lesson or something. But just to be clear ahead of time, I’m not playing alright?"</span> Jade often got herself pushed into doing things she promised herself she wouldn’t, this particular thing she was going to be firm about it beforehand. Her back stiffened up just thinking about the things she was molded into doing. Sighing lightly, she brought her shoulders up around her neck then back down again. Her back immediately became more relaxed. It was kind of like a technique she’d learned over the years to mellow out. Though throughout the memories she always had a smile on her face, she tended to be good at hiding things. She looked back to his wings, Is it just me or are we getting closer? She wouldn’t of minded in any case. <span style='color:green'>“So…"</span> She paused, trying to think of something to say. <span style='color:green'>“What are your trades?"</span>
He couldnÂ’t help but smiles when she went on about the drums, she was very shy and he doubt he could convince her to play. He started to grin when he thought of the last time he played drums, he nearly broke them from hitting them to hard. He was a bit of a fool sometimes, he was still kind of nervous about getting to close. He was thinking on how to get closer when she asked about hsi trades. "Oh I do Machina, I make stuff and that. And I do Biokinesis." He said kinda rushed, he didnÂ’t like talking about his trades, he kinda thought they were a bit geeky or girly. The machina was alright but the Biokinesis was a bit dumb, useful but dumb. This time as he was talking to her, he slid his wings out along the back a lot more. He was trying to sneak one behind her so he could pull her closer a bit.
Jade nodded, questions bubbling all over her mind. Her mouth opened to ask, but she understood the rushed tone and figured he didn't want to talk about it. <span style='color:green'>"Oh well that's still pretty cool."</span> She flashed him another toothy grin, she couldn't help but be happy the past couple of days. Normally she didn't do well in adjusting to new environments, but maybe things were changing. Her gaze traveled over his body and then to his lips. She mentally smacked herself for even looking. Stop looking damnit! He's just your roommate. About to turn away and find something else to do or talk about, she saw out of the corner of her eye that his wing was actually inching closer. Whether she was just in a rebellious mood towards her conscious or she just had a sudden change of mind, she slid closer. Her hand slipped into his and she leaned up to kiss him. She locked lips with him for only a second before pulling back, awe stricken at what she had done. Her mouth opened and closed a few times once she pulled back, not knowing what to say. Before he could respond she darted off the couch and into the bedroom. Sitting on her bed she kept shaking her head, not believing what she had done. Without thinking she used her telekinesis and started throwing her clothes into her dresser. Oh god, what did I do.
While they were taking Matt was convinced he was doing good, he was getting pretty close to her. And although talk was a bit tough it was working good. When she grabbed him and kissed him he felt like the big bang had just happening inside his skull and the universe had been born or what ever. He was gawping a bit, maybe that was why she left. He felt really bad now, he was debating with him self what to do. He didnÂ’t know whether she needed space or wanted comfort, yet he didnÂ’t want her getting the wrong idea. Slowly he gathered his courage and walked towards the bedroom. He saw he sitting on the bed and clothes flying every where. He had thought of a middle solution to the problem. He slid his head in more. "Just so you know, I think your a great kisser and I would like to do it again some time. But if you donÂ’t want to or your you need space thatÂ’s kewl with me." He said meekly, he was sort of expecting a slap. But he was always expecting a slap so he just turned off his brain still standing half through the door.
