Given that pendragons are particularly advanced, does this mean they are free from most ailments and diseases? And if not, then do the diseases that afflict one have to be written up and created in the compendium? Or may they simply be mirrors of human diseases..?
It isn't unlikely that a Pendragon would come down with a serious illness. ICly there's a lot of diversity so different illnesses may affect different species in a variety of ways. As for proposed ailments, if you (or anyone for that matter ^^) have an idea for a sickness, mental disorder or whatever, then feel free to post it up and we'll take a look at it =) If the illness is accepted, it will go into the Compendium, yes ^_^ If you want an illness to mirror a human one, you'll obviously need to reword some things in some cases. That's down to common sense. I would, though, strongly encourage a unique take on diseases if you do reference a medical book =) Just to quickly revisit your first question: they wouldn't be 'free' from ailments, but would be more equipped to deal with illnesses. I hope that helps you ^_^
thanks! just to clarify, if i want to have a disease affecting a character, it needs to be first accepted into the compendium? even if the disease/disorder is essentially a human one?
I'm going to saaay... no. If the disease is heavily based upon a pre-existing human one, then there doesn't have to be a corresponding compendium article (though it wouldn't hurt if an article did exist). If it's a disease that's unique to Ramath-lehi, then there should be an article written up. :)
