When: 33 Tessera 81379; early morning Where: On a particularly old pier jutting outward towards the sea. Who: Aiden [see sig] dressed in a plain black longsleeve with a high collar and zip-up throat, a down-filled cargo vest, khaki cargo pants and black combat boots. On his back he is sporting a large, well-worn rucksack with various knick-knacks attached to it's many zippers and straps. Clutching his beloved notebook, it's fibrous cover fraying at the edges, Aiden sat with his mud-covered dangling freely off of the edge of the familier rickety pier. Every board creaked as it rocked with the gentle careening of the deep blue waves as a cool terreran breeze disturbed their otherwise perfect surface. He leaned forwards precariously, and peered with squinted eyes into the water. Widening them to show his brillint yellow irises, his eyes scanned the water intently until they caught sight of movement in the form of shimmering light. A fish! His eyes widened further as he watched it just beneath the surface, momentarily surfacing as if to show off it's radient red fins. Aiden smiled and settled back into a more stable position. He shook his head to force his heavy dreads to a better suited placement behind his shoulders. Opening the prize he had been holding on to, he retrieved a small pencil from his breast pocket and began to draw. What began as simple curved graphite line on the barren expanse of textured yellow, soon evolved into the very fish he had just seen. He knew this one and rendered it's likeness with ease, and a contented smile parting his lips slightly. After only a few minutes, he closed his book and set it next to him, keeping one hand pressed firmly atop it for safekeeping. He sighed heavily and kicked his feet. Today, he thought idly, today, i will make a discovery. He smiled further at this. Of course, there was no guarentee to this or any reason to have such a thought to begin with, but to start the day off with an optimistic hope could do no harm and often served to keep one going happily for the rest of the hours one spends awake, if nothing else.
Who: Chzyuak Clothing: Brown turtleneck, black jeans, and black boots. Chzyuak quietly walked around the piers, lost in her thoughts and watching the water. She would normally be either just waking up or sitting in the library reading some book. Today she woke up unusually early, not quite knowing what to do. She stopped walking and looked down at the water again. She seen movement, she smiled as the fish jumped and dove back into the water. She started walking again not paying attention, and ran smack into an Arden who was sitting close to the edge. "Oh I am sorry, I wasn't paying attention." She took a step back and stared down at the ground for a moment, then looked up at him. She couldn't help but, smile cause he was still quite a bit taller than her when sitting down. "I am Chzyuak. Who are you?"
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>I was gonna wait and see if anyone else wanted to post, but the others can just pop in whenever they want :P</td></tr></table> Startled from the light bumb he was given and suddenly reawakened to the reality of the cold wind and the world around him, Aiden felt a shiver run from the back of his neck along his spine to his tail and turned his upper body around to eye the offending 'dragon, a scaly silver thill. The first thing he noticed was her miniscule size as she stood no taller then he did now while seated but looked much older then a hatchling of a similar height. Secondly, he noticed her slightly odd proportions, which he paid little mind to afterwards. His chartreuse lids still pulled wide from the shock of unexpected contact, he shook his head, throwing his hair about gently and flipping a few 'strands' over his stony horns. He could just feel a slight salty mist on his face from his actions, the moisture collected from the air around him. This served to restore his calm and allow him to collect himself. "Hello Chzyuak," he grinned amiably, "and no worries, I don't think you could have knocked me off the edge." This comment was of course in good humour, as Aiden knew well that even the smallest creatures could be far stronger then they looked, even if meant relying on other means to complete any malicious acts. While speaking, he turned to where he had set his beloved book and wearily pulled it to a far safer placement on his lap. This, however, would be much easier to accidentally hurl off into the sea. He tapped the split neon green and blue of the tip of his finger against it's lid, his nail retracted, before remembering the conversation's initial intent. With another friendly smile he replied, "I'm Aiden. It's a pleasure to meet your aquaintence." He chuckled at his eloquent choice of words and turned his face back towards the sea, kicking his booted feet about off of the pier's edge childishly, the cuffs of his pants already quite wet from the upward splashing of the waves crashing against the platform's supports.
Chzyuak smiled and looked out at the water again. She was enjoying the feel of the air today. "Hello Aiden. I hope I didn't interupt anything important." She grinned over his comment about knocking him over, if she wanted to she could. She noticed the book, that he held closed and wondered what he wrote in there. She thought to herself, <span style='color:green'>Will you stop being so damn nosey</span>. "So, do you come out here often?" <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Sorry first post of the day i'm not quite awake yet</td></tr></table>
Aiden still faced the water, the waves churned violently as the cold wind picked up just long enough to send a roaring wave hurling against the supporting pillars. Pulling and tucking his legs onto the pier just a second too slow, the white spray caught his pants, soaking them further. He looked at his boots, glistening with wet, and pushed his lips into a slight pout. Fine, feisty sea. You win. He pushed himself back further, making sure he was out of the way of the water's wrathe, and heaving his sack to his lap responded to Chzyuak while carefully forcing his book in amoungst the mounds of seemingly shapeless grey cloth he had stored in the largest of it's many pockets. "Nothing important. I was just thinking..." He paused before deciding to stop altogether and spare her of his mindless bantering. No point in telling my thoughts to any random 'dragon. Finally breaking his eye's concentration from everything but his neglected companion, he looked over to her and replied to her question in a more lighthearted tone while blindly fastening the pocket closed with a drawstring. "Actually, I live quite near these piers. I grew up here." He ended the statement with a pleasant smile, a symbol of just how much he truely loved this place, for he had no resentment, nor any fear for the place. There was just a tugging nostalgia, and memories of the time spent with his sister before she left to make more of herself. His smile turned to a slightly more smug grin as he hid the curiosities for what had become of his sibling. "How about you? I can't say I've ever seen you here." He thought to make another crack about the 'dragon's diminutive size, but decided not to lest she be a sensitive type. Not that I'd be able to see you anyways...
Chzyuak looked out into the water for a moment. "I come out here to look around and think for the most part. Being near the water is somewhat calming." ooc: Gah im sorry for such a sucky ass post
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Maybe you just need a little more to feed off of? >_o my posts are dying without food.</td></tr></table> Aiden nodded his head slowely, the fingers of his left hand curled tightly around a heavy clay bead knotted into his hair, twisting it slowely. "Mmmm... it is, isn't it? I'd come here to think more often if I had a half a brain to think with." What a stupid comment, there is a brain here, and it is a racing brain! I can't stop thinking about going down there... into the sea. I can't stop thinking of seeing those things no one has seen! With a rather coy smile, he continued, "so what is it you are thinking about...? I mean, what do you have to think about? Is there really any way of asking that so it doesn't seem so personal?" With a hearty laugh, he let the piece of hair he previously held fall to his shoulder and moved his now vacant hand unconciously to his mouth where he proceeded to pick his claw against his left canine while awaiting a response from the tiny thill, his lemony eyes fixated on her face.
Chzyuak thought about his question for a moment, and felt herself blush slightly. She was always thinking but, usually no one really ever payed attention to it because usually, she was doing something that caused her to get into some form of trouble. She looked at him and smiled. "Oh well, I am always thinking, it just depends on the moment of what exactly I am thinking about. My thoughts can go from my classes, to the dragons in the guild where I am an apprentice, and to well...." She felt herself turn redder on the last part and just let it fade off, and hoped he didn't actually hear it. She quickly turned toward the water, and hoped that cool, salty air would calm down the redness in her cheeks.
