"Ok kid, you had better come with us, if that is, you value your vision." Uni was surrounded by A group of 6 bandits, all armed with crude clubs, apart from the leader who held a cutlass. "So, whats it gonna be? Shall I gouge your eyes out?" <span style='color:yellow'>"I'll never give in to the likes of you!"</span> Uni shouted in the face of the leader. This caused the whole gang to laugh, since that was what you'd usually hear from a hero of justace, not an 8 year old girl. "Alright, looks like this is gonna be fun" said the leader, closeing in on the small helpless girl... Uni reached for her small bag...
Fujjeyj walked blindly through the swamplands. His large feet sunk far into the ground with every step, and he pulled them out each time with little difficulty and a satisfied sucking sound. His entire lower body was caked in mud that hardened and weighed down his coat. He stopped a moment to catch his breath and perhaps his bearings. He looked up as he had done already a few times this trip. He tried to make sense of the sky above him through the crowded swamp trees, but it was no use. If he had been looking up into a sky of stars it would have been different for he could pick out a single star or constellation and know where he stood in relation to the entire Ramathian planet. His sister was the one who had the expert navigational skills, and she had insisted on looking for a dagger she had dropped into the swamp and that he go on without her. She would be fine, he knew that much but he was worried about himself. He was lost. He looked behind him, as if to see Gejusa plodding up behind him but it was wishful thinking. He sighed and prepared himself for another trek through the scenic swamplands, when he heard a voice. He perked his ears, and indeed he heard it again. His hand traveled instinctively to the scimitar belted at his side. He started towards the sound, making slow but silent progress. He eventually came up on a strange sight. A band of meager looking thieves surrounding a small girl. They did not look particularly friendly but Fujjeyj was not about to let their plunders go rewarded. He unsheathed his blade with a satisfying shing and walked into the presence of the bandits. "Leave peacefully and all your lives will be spared." He said simply, raising his blade. He was a great swordsman, and looked it too, a menacing sight to anyone who crossed paths with him.
The bandits stood and stared... and laughed again. "YOU think that one of you can beat six of us? HAHAHAHA!!!!" In a blur of movement Uni use this destraction and in a blur of colour she was standing beside the <span style='color:yellow'>tall, dark, hansome and oh so heroic in an evil way... </span> swordsman and the bandit who was in her way no longer had a head. <span style='color:yellow'>"hey, you need to re-sit your maths, theres TWO of us and FIVE of you!"</span>
Fujjeyj looked down at the small pendragon next to him, a bewildered but aproving look on his face. He looked back up at the bandits, a small smirk printed on his stern face. Though these simple bandits would have been no match for him, he was glad to have the experienced help. As these thoughts passed his mind one of the bandits came running at him weilding his club. Fujjeyj expertly dodged the attack by sidesteping and bringing the hilt of his blade down hard on the back of the bandit's neck. The theif froze in mid air and then collapsed on the ground, unconsious. Fujjeyj looked up from the defeated mass of pendragon and back at the others, who seemed a little daunted by the diplay of strength these two portrayed. "You four still have a chance." He said, picking out the leader of the bunch and staring him i the eye. Trying to intimidate him.
The leader paused for a moment then said "You'll live to regret this! Theres no way the rest of the gang could be beaten by an old man and a little kid!" before running off with his partners at a rediculous speed. Unis face exploded into an annoying smile as she span around on one foot, held up two fingers and shouted <span style='color:yellow'>"VICTORY!! :D "</span> She then looked up at the dark 'dragon and said <span style='color:yellow'>"Thanks for helping me, whays your name?"</span>
Fujjeyj watched as the theives reatreated, a small smirk on his face. He lowered his blade and sheithed it once more, patting it as he did. His memory was jarred by a small voice near him. He looked down at the young pendragon with a stone cold glare and cocked an eyebrow. His name was not something he usualy gave freely, but a simple child could be no harm. None the less one could never tell and a fighter like her could have other connections. "Some call me Jey." He said in a his deep gruff voice. From his tone it was obvious he was both amused and anoyed with the pendragon looking up at him. "And what do you call yourself?"
<span style='color:yellow'>"Im Uni!"</span> She chirped in her ever-happy voice. <span style='color:yellow'>"and thanks a lot for helping me out Mr. Jay."</span> She looked around , licked her finger and stuck it in the air, put her ear to the soggy ground, then stood up and said <span style='color:yellow'>"ya know what? Im completely lost! can I follow you for a while cos those evil bandits have been folowing me for ages and I cant beat them all by myself"</span>
Fujjeyj choked on his breath when she called him 'Mr. Jey'. He sputtered slightly and looked down at her with a look as if to say 'are you insane'. No one had called him that ever and most pendragons who wished to voice their respect for him usually called him sir or cap'un. Mr was such a formal term compared to what he was used to. He looked back down at the young pendragon with a faint smile. "Er...yeah I guess." He said, still recovering. "I am also lost, but my sister should not be too far back. If she does not find us, we can help each other out of here." He smiled and then looked up at the sky, still blocked by the overhanging trees. As near as he could tell the sun was, he decided their course. He started to walk towards that direction and then waited for Uni to follow.
As Uni followed she bombarded Jay with questions <span style='color:yellow'>"So, why are you here? where are you from? dont you hate people that just show off all the time?"</span> And so on. As Uni followed she had to keep running to catch up, as she was very slow for a 'dragon and kept tripping over herself. <span style='color:yellow'>"Jay, I'm hungry, do you know where we can eat?"</span>
Fujjeyj walked on, trying to ingnore the small pendragon. He wondered at the energy she seemed to have and how fast she had bounced back from her ordeal. He kept his eyes peeled and his attention on the blind path before him. Through gritted teeth he answered the niotie's questions. "I am here on vacation. I'm from the ocean. Yes. No." It was like his mouth was on auto pilot. He was answering with half explained answers, as simple as he could posibly make them. He had almost missed the last question but for his own hunger as well. He stopped and took a deep sigh. Now that he thought about it, he still did not know of anything that would help their situation so he continued on, is demeanor softened a little bit.
After loseing track of what she was saying and probly repeating a number of questions she said <span style='color:yellow'>"So, what are we looking for anyway? a city, a ship or what?"</span> <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>sorry, little short on imagenation</td></tr></table>
Fujjeyj stopped again and looked down at the small pendragon. "At this point we are looking for anything we can find." He said regretfully as if sorry he had gotten the little poendragon into this mess. Then again it had not been his fault, if anything he had helped her get out of the ordeal a little bit. He looked down at the ground, it was hard and firm unlike the rest of the swamp. It would be their best bet at a decent rest place. He sighed. "Its getting dark, maybe we should make camp. Can you find some firewood?" He said, glancing around at the surrounding greenery. They needed food and dry wood, good thing mother nature could suply both. He starte to hunt around for something that might be edible.
hmm... hes going by himself? I wonder what hes like alone... Uni said to herself <span style='color:yellow'>"Sure, I can find wood"</span> she said before running off into the dark forest, circling round and watching jay from a tree.
Fujjeyj watched her go until he could no longer see her. Then he stooped down and started to search for any edible plants. This is hopeless... He thought as he searched the surounding flora. All the plants looked the same to him, but perhaps the right plant would jump out at him somehow. He let out a sigh and looked back up without hope. He was going to have to find some wild animal for the two of them to eat. He started to search around for any rabbit holes or other signs of life. Finaly he dug his paw deep into one of the holes and pulled out a large rabbit. He smiled and wrenched its neck around, killing it instantly. With another sigh he started to walk back to the camp spot to wait for Uni.
<span style='color:yellow'>ehhehehe... he is SO cool!</span> Uni thought while she watched him head back to the camp. <span style='color:yellow'> Oh yeah! Firewood!</span> she realised, before slipping on the branch and fell from the tree. Five seconds later when she realised she wasnt falling she opened her eyes... and she was still on the branch... sort of. She was caught on a small, flimbsy branch by her antique ornimental wings. She tried to scream but all she could produce was a small squeak; the wings were cutting off her air, and she could not reach the branch she was caught on. <span style='color:yellow'>Damn it!! why does this always seem to happen?</span>
Fujjeyj waited a while at the camp for Uni to come back. He started to get worried. What I get for taking on a niotie. He said to himself as he sat up. Fingering his blade at his side he left the site and walked in the direction he had seen Uni go. "Uni! Uni where are you?" He called in his deep gruff voice. After hearing no answers he began to get even more worried and called even louder. He started to regret sending her out by herself. What had ne done? She could have been captured again, or lost or hurt. Any number of this could have happened to her. He followed her trail, all the time calling her name.
Uni could hear his voice come closer... then move away... a few times she saw him looking for her but hed soon walk away again. Once he was right below her. She had to think of something fast before he walked away. She dropped her left claw to try to get his attention and hoes it landed near him. OOC: no ideas...
Fujjeyj was almost at a loss. He feared he had lost her for good. He was currious as to why her path ended just near where he had been looking for food. He dismissed the thought and was about to continue when something landed in the grass near him. He walked towards it and picked it up eyeing it strangely. "What the?" He looked up from where he was and saw Uni entangled in the tree. He let out a slight chuckle at himself and then yelled up to her. ""Ill get you down, dont worry. He said. He walked a little distance away where there was a great pile of leaves, just incase he missed her. He placed them all under her and patted the pile to make sure it serve its function. He looked up once again to jugde the distanced and then nodded in satisfaction. He walked over to the tree and shook it as hard as he could to get her loose and guickly ran to stand under her, his arms out ready to catch her.
Uni shook back and forth in the tree. The jerking was makeing the pain in her neck even worse, and she was about to pass out when the branch broke from her weight.
Fujjeyj's smile faded off his face as he relized the full extent of her predicament. He shuffled his feet slightly to get under her, his arms outstreached. Both the branch and Uni came tumbling toward him. He caught Uni easily but as he did the branch hit him hard on the shoulder. He clenched his teeth but did not make a sound. He set Uni on the ground and untangled her from the branch. "You ok Uni?" He said softly as he got the branch free of her wings and threw it into the surrounding underbrush.
