Her new snake was entwined around her arm. He was too small to do any substantial damage but he did give her a good squeeze every now and then. He was pitch black with baby blue stripes and a stark white underbelly. Her digits flexed as it started to coil about her fingers. “You’re so cute Jake." Her onyx mane bounced on her shoulders, let had let it down for the day and curled it for a new look. She sported a light blue tank top that tied once in behind her neck and another tie midway through her back. Her lean build was revealed with the top as were her assets with her denim Capri’s. She decided to accentuate her long legs and threw on a pair of black strappy sandals with a two inch heel. Nearing the entrance doors she pulled on her biker-styled sunglasses and stepped outside. The campus was neatly arranged and carefully tended. The sun shone down its blinding rays and illuminated the subtle effects of the terrace. She eye a wooden park bench that was occupied by a busy couple. She shuddered slightly; it always disgusted her when people were all over each other in public places. Some people did want to keep their lunch. Shrugging off the nausea she headed towards the edge of campus. There weren’t any benches left, but a familiar spot near a tree looked inviting. She did a quick check to make sure she wasn’t in range of any more “couples". Nodding to herself she sat down slowly, leaning against the back of the trunk for support. Her legs were crossed Indian style as her gaze was shifting to every moving being. A calming song of a bird lured her into a relaxed state; bringing her into a daydream of past events and incidents. A sigh escaped her lips; it was a very unhappy time when she was there last.
Xhankis heaved a sigh. Another day of classes. For his break, he'd decided to go out and get his fresh air; a nice vacation from the stuffy dorm he'd usually resort to on any other occasion. But today he felt like being different. He didn't know why; lately he'd been in the spontaneous mood. Going outside wasn‘t much of a difference... but still. It felt good to finally be doing something out of the ordinary. The moment he stepped outside, he knew that he didn't have to bring the black hoodie he was wearing - it was already warm enough. Slowly he pulled it off, revealing a black band tee of some sort, probably of the rock genre, by the looks. Tying the sweater lazily around his waist, he examined his surroundings in the courtyard. He, too, noticed the couple on the bench, but did not really react to it; he was used to public displays of affection. Making his way across the grass, he noticed a girl, with some sort of decorative ribbon curled around her arm. Odd. Slightly cocking his head to the side, he realized as he got closer, that it wasn’t a ribbon at all - it was a snake! A grin formed on his lips as he had a small flashback of when he was younger: A woman that had the same eyes as him - perhaps his mother? - standing next to him, handing him his small, slithering bundle of joy. But just as soon as the memory had come, it faded. His smile disappeared. Why did he have to lose his memory that one fateful day? By now, however, he was used to these random recollections of his past life. Pushing it to the back of his mind, he sat down next to the ‘dragon, taking care in not sitting on mud or anything of the likes, as to keep his new, slightly-baggy jeans clean. “Hey," he said casually, giving her a friendly grin. “What’s his name?" he inquired, pointing to the small reptilian creature. Hoping she wasn’t taken aback by his gregarious actions, he waited for a reply as he watched the small scaly beast flex on her arm. ooc: er. I dunno how big the snake actually is, or if you could see it from thirty feet away, but...meh. He has good vision. xD
Chiara felt her eyes begin to close as she almost drifted into a nap. Well not really a nap because she wouldn’t admit to it, she was just “closing her eyes". Jake continued to entwine himself up and down her arm; seeming to notice was edging on falling asleep he didn’t squeeze at all. She heard the simple hey but didn’t open her eyes just yet, assuming it was just some random person talking to some one. As the ‘dragon asked a question she peeked an eye open just because she was curious. “Oh! You were talking to me! Sorry ‘bout that." Chiara opened both of her eyes to peer intently at the stranger. “His name is Jake. He’s cute isn’t he?" A digit moved to stroke the top of his head, his forked tongue popping out quickly. A grin appeared upon her face as she took a look at the sky. She hadn’t observed it yet, as lately it was just dull and gray. Today though, it was a vibrant blue with puffy clouds trailing across the sky. “It’s such a nice day out… Dyo is always the best for making shapes out of the clouds I find. I know that’s kind of childish but I find it relaxing." Her gaze was focused purely on the sky as she spoke, imagining flying up in the clouds. It had been forever since her last flight, maybe she could take a quick fly around the courtyard later on. Maybe at night… Yeah… That would be nice… She conitnued to watch the beautiful canvas they called a sky, her gaze locking on one particular cute cloud.
Squeal'd been stalking the schoolyard per usual, keeping to the shadows and staying out of the way of the students. Recently, however, she'd decided to randomly approach them as she saw fit, bothering them with whatever was on her mind. This particular day she had decided she confidently strode about the grounds, acting as if she were one of the students. It was a thoroughly empowering feeling, being a student, and she felt infinitely smarter just being there. More than likely she looked smarter, too. Were she able to keep from opening her mouth, the illusion would more than likely be preserved. Alas, this was not the case. Loudmouth by nature, she had locked her sights on a nearby 'dragon who was fiddling with what appeared to be a snake. She loved animals and couldn't resist approaching her and that cute 'n' cuddly little creature. She bounded over to Chiara, flailing arms wildly and giggling like, well, a schoolgirl. 'Allo, 'allo! Well goo' see'n 'n nanimal out'ere a' th' scoo, innit? I bloo'y loooove 'em nanimals! She reached out, without asking, and began to scritch at the little creature, patting him on the head. I 'ell ya! Cute'un, 'e is! Bet 'is name's Andy... izzit Andy? Loo's like 'n Andy, I'm thinkin'. She cooed softly at the squirmy little thing, continuing to giggle quietly, then suddenly perked her ears, eyes going wide. Ah, bloo'y 'ell, I done gone 'n' ma' a foola m'self right off like tha'! She redirected her confusing verbal barrage at the two dragons she had run over to. Plea'ure mee'in ya bofe, i' is! I'm Tee, call m' Squeal, 'o! HUGS! With that she gathered them both up in a tight, tight hug. Whoaboy.
Xhankis nodded. Apology accepted. “His name is Jake. He’s cute isn’t he?" “Yeah, he sure is," he said with a grin, stroking the lithe creature with his index finger delicately. His ears perked forward as he listened to what she had to say. “Nah, it’s not childish at all." he told her truthfully. Some days when he’d gone out here before, he’d pick out shapes in the clouds, too. He thought he’d been the only one to do that at this age. Guess not. Although she did look a couple years younger than him… Just as he pulled his hand away from petting Jake, a familiar voice was heard next to him, making him turn his head. It was Squeal! Unsurprisingly, she pulled the girl - did she even know her? - and Xhankis into a warm, welcoming squeeze-of-a-hug, after thirty or so seconds of yapping in her incomprehensible accent. Xhankis got more than a few words out of it, of course - you got used to it after a while - but he wasn‘t sure if the ‘dragon next to him had a clue what language the goggle-wearing fem was even speaking. He couldn’t help but grin as he pulled away from her. “Hey, Squeal! What’s up?" Shooting a glance at the girl to see her expression, he wondered what she thought of all this. He remembered how weird he’d thought Squeal was when he’d first met her - just a few days ago, actually. She usually had that effect on people.
Chiara grinned when the male agreed to the comment about Jake. When she’d gone out to buy a pet, she originally wanted some fluffy creature. She almost bought it when she saw Jake. What she liked about him was the fact that he was better trained then most pets you’d find running around Janardan. “I’ve been doing this since I came here, it’s just so peaceful and calming I find…" She left the statement open, she couldn’t explain it but she was in an “airy" mood. As she was about to drift off staring at Jake, her auds’ perked up when she heard what sounded like a stampede coming near them. She nearly toppled over when she saw another femme running towards her. What the hell…? She didn’t notice that her eyes weren’t even on her, but on Jake. It’s not like she could notice when she looked like she was about to be tackled. Chiara let out a faint growling noise as she pet Jake without permission. It’s like petting some one’s dog, you should ask first, you don’t know if it’ll bite. “Excuse me…" Before she could say anymore, the ‘dragon continued to babble on. Andy? Jake doesn’t look like an Andy. Chiara was so overwhelmed with Squeal’s random topics and awkward accent that her head felt like it was going to explode. She was in a calm mood but the sudden growth of energy caught her off balance. “H-" Chiara was caught in a quick bear hug before she could fully greet the new ‘dragon.
Squeal held them there for a good, long time. In fact, much longer than it would ever be necessary to hug a complete stranger. She withdrew and crouched down, getting on eye-level with the little snake. O'n 'ello-'ello t'you, l'il bugg'r! I'd 'ug y'but y'd go sq'sh! She chuckled. Obviously, the thought of crushing the poor thing in a giant hug amused her quite a bit. On a personal note, it would probably be best to never leave her alone with Jake. Ever. She turned her attention to the other two creatures in front of her, then grinned wide, canting her head to the side. 'N' y'two! 'Ugs! With that she tugged them back into a hug which she held for another ten seconds or so before releasing them. Plizzure mee'in bofa y's. 'Ell, onna y's. Iarredy 'no y', Xhankis. She grinned. 'Ey, y's like candy? She reached into her pocket and pulled out two innocuous looking rolls of fruit-flavored chews. Now, for the record, for once she hasn't spiked the candy in any way, but anyone who knows her would know much better than to accept candy from her unless they wanted to wake up several hours later, a good distance away, having purchased a large number of pineapples. It wasn't like she was malicious - she just found that sort of thing fun and thought everyone else enjoyed it, too. S'hew r'y'alls? 'N'whass y'name, girlie? She paused a moment, thinking. ...'Av I giv'n ye a 'ug yet?
Xhankis politely rejected her offer of the sweets, remembering what’d happened the last time he’d agreed to consume something that’d belonged to her. A sad smile came to his lips at the memory of that night. Ah, well. Never again. He looked to snake-owning ‘dragon next to him - she seemed slightly surprised with Squeal’s presence. "Er, yes, we’ve all hugged and gotten acquainted, Squeal," he told her assuringly, scratching his head. Hopefully she takes this all well… He hoped for the best, as he awaited Chiara’s reply to Squeal’s question of what her name was. He’d been curious, too.
Chiara flattened her ears slightly, she wasn’t too happy with this Squeal person. Already she’d touched Jake more than once without asking. Now she was talking about squishing him? No-no. Not going to happen. When she deciphered Squeal’s next sentence, Chiara stared at her oddly. The femme was taken aback when she was offered candy by this… stranger. Her heart seemed to be in a good place but that was about it. “Erm… No thank you." She politely rejected the candy, she was too scared of Squeal to actually accept food from her. Chiara was still perplexed as how to react, all she could think of was act some what politely and the rest would come easy. “My name's Chiara-Nyym, but you can just call me Chiara." She directed her comment towards Squeal at first and then to the male. He can’t given out his name yet, and seeing how he knew both of their names it was only fair.
Squeal smiled wide at Chiara, her trademark dumb happy grin plastered right across her face. She puzzled over the name for a few moments, then nodded. 'Iarcha ittiz, 'en! she said confidently, still smiling wide. Y'l'k pre'y 'ute wi' 'at 'ere nanimal, y'knows. Awh, inn li'l Freddy cute? Sujja gud li'l nanimal 'e is! She scritched the top of Jake's head with a single claw and then withdrew, looking back and forth between her two companions for a few moments. After what felt for her like an unbearable length of time spent in complete silence (which was most likely four or five seconds) she began rambling again. Y's'n tha' sp'rt 'ey play 'ere? Iss blo'oy roight' 'un ittiz! Go' sum sor'a ball 'n' sum sor'a unif'rm. ...D'you play spor's, Ra'ichi? Y'dun 'ook loike th'spor'ee type, inna my 'pin'on. Har' t'play spor's wi' a 'nake round y'arm! Cue li'l buggah 'e is! Ough'a 'et im a li'l 'at! I loike 'ats! Y'ever seen 'em 'ats wit' th'funny wor's on 'em? I 'adda 'at once. It adda shark 'roo it. Ne'er worrrrrrrr (she rolled her R) it bu' I well ri' enjoy it! Y'all should be m'bes' 'riends y'should! Perraps I could li' in yer rooms! We'd par'y. Xhankis knows whu I'm 'alkin 'bout, 'ontcha love? She winked and stuck out her tongue, wrapping an arm around his shoulder and leaning against him. Whu'ya say?
ooc: Blah! So sorry for the huuuge delay, school is bleh and my dad won‘t stop grounding me for stupid reasons. -_-; bic: Chiara. Pretty name. “I’m Xhankis," he introduced himself in return, holding out his hand to shake with Chiara. Xhankis restrained himself from correcting Squeal when she said Chiara’s name like a dyslexic maniac, and instead silently giggled inside his mind. Iarcha? Freddy? Ah, he couldn’t even imagine what the girl was thinking by now. Psycho? On drugs? The latter was the most likely. Xhankis knew that. He knew it all too well. Which is why he had intentions to turn down her invitation. He didn’t want Chiara to get in that mess, either. "Well…Um…" He was braindead for what to say. How could he inform Chiara to say no? She probably had the sense to turn down the request from some dyslexic loony that she didn’t know, but he couldn’t be sure. He glanced at her, trying to catch her gaze so she knew what Squeal actually meant by “party". These thoughts were knocked aside when she wrapped her arms around him. Awkwardness times three bajillion. "Errr…Maybe, Squeal…Yeah, we can be friends, but I think I’m going to wait to do what we did last time…Partying just wears me out…" Lousy job. It wasn’t technically saying no, but he tried, didn’t he? He then attempted to shrug Squeal off gently, he looked to Chiara, seeing what she’d think of this whole thing.
