<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>Timestamp: Mia 23rd, 81377</td></tr></table> The moonlight filtered through the canopy of leaves only slightly. The white orb in the sky hung unusually low for so late in that winter night. The colored stars, sewn into the velvet blackness, glistened and shimmered casting tiny sparks of light across the dark trees below them. The Gyakusatsu forest was silent that night, not even the slightest sound could be heard, for there was none. It was as though the forest had died. The wind had stopped howling, the trees had stopped swaying. Everything was dead silent. As though the entire forest could sense that something bad, something terrible was about to happen. Though through that dead silence and that dead forest walked a single 'dragon, or so it seemed. Her fur coat shimmered under the tiny streaks of mooonlight that made it to the forestfloor. Her golden orbs glowed in the darkness. Her wings flapped silently keeping her an inch off the ground. The silence kept her from hunting. She hunted during the night, the night alone. But now, very hungary and tired, the femme refused to break the dead silence that had krept over the trees and animals. Finally the 'dragon landed. Silently she padded across the forest floor looking around nervously unaware of her surroundings. She felt an eerie prickle go up and down her spine. She had had this feeling before, and she didn't like it. She felt watched. She felt someone else's orbs laid on her watching her every move, being one step ahead of her. Ready to pounce at her if she made a mistake or slipped up. No, the femme was not in the right postition to be in now, not now, when she felt so strange. She was in a dead silenced forest, being watched.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class=ooc><tr><td>I hope it's not to late to join</td></tr></table> Rlett glided silently through the trees in his bat form. His small leather wings flapped silently while he let out small waves of sonar, making them reveal what was ahead of his blind eyes. The night was dark and silent, perfect for a soothing flight or a warm drink. The waether was cool but it didn't fase Rlett, he wanted to be out, espically now under the cover of night. He traveled slowly, taking in the midnight air and the forest smells. Sonar was getting tiresome so he landed on the floor and turned back into his regular dark black form. His grey feathery wings were tucked to his side, trying to keep away from twigs and bushes. His eyes scanned the horizon and his nose took deep sniffs of the area. It was then that the strong smell of another 'dragon arrived in his nostrils. Interesting, why would another 'dragon be out at such a time? Unless... unless they were vamps. With his curiosty peeked he silently made his way to the scent, keeping a wary eye out for anything unusual.
Mint looked around her wearily her shiny green eyes searched desperately through the foliage that surrounded her hiding the intruder. She suddenly caught the sole sent that she needed bounding off in the direction of the other 'dragon. Her paws involontarily staying away from dry leaves or small twigs as to make sure that she made no noise whatsoever. Finally she caught sight of movement, crouching low, nearly entirely hidden in the leaves and vines that surrounded the other. She growled very quietly before pushing off her hind legs flying through the air at her supposedly unknowing prey.
Indeed, the wind was lacking that night. A disadvantage to those who solely relied upon their scent for actions. Though, thanks to this current lacking, sounds had been amplified greatly, making it so that even a mouse moving could easily be heard by well-trained ears. And that was when Mint finally picked up another scent. Just as she was about to pounce, the smell made itself quite apparent. It lingered faintly on the air, the owner being quite the distance away. But then it grew stronger. Steadily stronger. And a shrill slicing of the wind could also be heard, as if some powerful beast was slicing through it at an unfathomable speed. Heading straight for her! It was too fast to outrun while she was in her current 'pounce', this was for certain! It was going to strike her! My word, whatever could attain such raw physical speed and power? What beast of a being could be so reckless in his actions? So purely suicidal in his attack? Wham! Not three feet in front of her a figure came down square into the ground. His movement was a blur, and he was lying face down. What followed after him? A tree branch, landing atop him quite firmly, causing an 'oof!' to sound out from the fallen being. Well, that would explain the speed. He had fallen. However, now the guy and the tree branch were directly in front of her, capable of throwing her off target! Or even worse, a target for her to fly face first into.
So much had happened in mid-air that Mint wasn't exactly sure if anything had happened. Sudenly she was flying above another 'dragon, one that she did not plan on devouring or killing and was about to fall ontop of it with much force from her pounce which could be fatal. Mint was a quickthinking 'dragon and as she was about 3feet above the other 'dragon she opened her wings with amazing accuracy and speed and glided on top of the 'dragon. Though she stood on her legs so wasn't really ontop of him. For a moment she merely looked down at him eyes burning. Then she stepped away and said angrily <font color="aqua"> You better watch where your going! Lucky I was in a good mood! </font>
