Timestamp: Tria 27th, a little after 11:30 am Who: http://shadowlack.com/persona.php?id=17Cilea Fin and open to others What: First day of the Notek Festival A happy weightlessness lifted the blue feet of Cilea Fin, she skipped and hopped here and there. She moved with the rhythm of the music that came from the other side of the trees. She had thrown down her bag and was now dancing around the small clearing with her eyes closed. It was the 27th of Tria, a date known to many music lovers, today was the first day of Notek, a four day festival that took place in a large park on the edge of Vivuli Jungle There was room for camp sites to be set up so people could stay over night and a large stage set up where bands would come and perform to the many pendragons in attendance. The festival has been going on a few years now and each year they try and make it bigger and better then the last. This year they had some of the biggest bands in Ramath-lehi coming to have a fun time. So far the weather was looking prefect, the sun was out and warming the groups of ‘dragons who where slowly starting to fill the field. The weather report on the television that morning said there were slight chances of rain, but it didn’t seem to dampen anyone spirit. Everyone was bring in there tents and blankets and setting up as close to the stage as they were allowed, wanting to get the best seats before they all disappeared. Other were helping to set up the stands for food and moving chairs around for people who hadn’t brought there own. Cilea had put on a long jean skirt, a bright orange tee and a pair of comfortable sneakers. She didn’t plan to stay the night, just long enough to see the fire works and come back the next day to join in the festivities such as karaoke and battle of the bands. She didn’t have a band to contend with but she was looking forward to trying out her voice in the karaoke. But watching the battle of the bands had been a blast last year and she’s hate to miss it. For the moment she had chosen this little place to be where she would keep her stuff and eat later. She was hoping to run into a few friends from Janardan who had mentioned they may be coming. At the moment the music in the back group was making her want to dance so that’s what she kept doing. Dancing through life Skimming the surface Gliding where turf is smooth Life's more painless For the brainless Why think too hard? When it's so soothing Dancing through life No need to tough it When you can sluff it off as I do Nothing matters But knowing nothing matters It's just life So keep dancing through
He grinned, spying the girl dancing around. He reduced his grin to a smirk and pulled a handful of assorted flower petals from his pack, muttering a long chain of short words. He ran through the complex hand motions effortlessly, quite dexterous. He made the final motion, and cast the flower petals forward, cracking a grin as suddenly lush flowers in white, yellow, red, and blue flowers coated the ground. You are quite the dancer. He said, smirking again. He looked at her, smiling. He walked calmly over next to her, faling into a flowing dance like her own. He took her hand and spun her, then released her and stepped back, and grinned. He bent his knees and did a backflip, followed by him rolling backwards in a tight ball and springing to his feet. your move. He said, grinning. it was obviously a challenge to a dance-off of sorts. He didn't stop moving, but watched her intently. He smoothly danced past her, his hand running up her arm in an innocent way. He smiled charmingly, spinning once and bending his knees to repeat the move as before, backslipping, and rolling back. Acrobatics is one thing he could do very well, dancing wasn't his strong point, but he wasn't half bad at it. However, he wasn' anything near to Cilea's abilities.

Xerxes wouldn't be coming today if it hadn't been for talking with Cilea prior, in which she had encouraged him to attend. Not the sort to have many friends, the male had reluctantly agreed to the other student's asking and that was the reason he was here. Not that the dark male didn't like music. It was just that, usually, he would have spent his time at his dorm. No one wanted to spend time with him at the Festivals, usually, so it got dull pretty fast, since he never publically took pictures. Though, today, on a random whim, he had brought his camera. Maybe to take pictures of the bands or some such for the Janardan paper. That would be his excuse, anyhow. Fingers ran through his ruggedly cut hair, which he had put some gel in earlier. It had a sort of spiked look to it, therefore, that it usually didn't. He was trying out a new look today, though, and so far he was pleased with it. No one had given him horrified looks, either, so he supposed it looked decent. Other than that, his garb was pretty typical of teenagers. A pair of loose, comfortable olive drab cargo pants, a black band shirt (namely, "The Rogues", a sort of "underground" group) and a pair of gray sneakers. Catching sight of Cilea, the arden started to make his way toward her, smiling slightly. Before he got there, though, another male had swept his way onto the scene. One eyebrow shot upward at the antics of this stranger. Still, it wasn't as if he had any reason to be jealous. Truly, he wasn't. Except in that quiet twinge that was natural for one arden against another. At least it was for Xerxes and pretty much every other arden he had ever met. With a smile still on his face, the male drew near, looking at Cilea. "Hey." He said, then moved his gaze so that it was on both Cilea and A'delos. A brief nod was given to the stranger, a sign of greetings. His face was quiet, friendly, seemingly open, though he hid all emotions except comfortable friendliness.
Cilea had been in wrapped in the music that didn’t even notice the male come in to her small clearing. She didn’t even open look around until she felt the flower petals brush against her bare arms. Her emerald eyes opened to see the figure that seemed to want to joy her to dance. And to her surprise he did it wasn’t often people would dance with her in a clearing, not that she did that often or anything. She let herself fall into the spin when he grabbed her hand then spun outwards when he released and took a look at him while he preformed his back flip. She raised one eye brow and smiled at his challenge. “You're not too bad yourself." She raised her arms above her head and pushed into a spin on her one foot and then planted herself on both feet and pulled off a few fancy moves with her feet while moving around the circle. This time since she was a little more aware of her surrounding she turned quickly when she heard someone else’s voice. A large smile covered her face when she saw Xerxes approaching. She had talked to him earlier and he had seemed rather slow to agree to come, even before she arrived she wasn’t sure if he was going to show. “Xerxes! I’m so glad you came and I like what you did to your hair. Did you put gel in it?’ She wasn’t used to seeing him put something into his hair, she was a little surprised he would change for the occasion. Not wanting to forget her dancing partner she turned and smiled back at A'delos. “Mate, this is Xerxes a friend of mine from school. And if I’m not mistaking you for someone else I think I’ve seen you around Jandaran as well at times?" She used the term mate freely and not as the meaning of loved one or partner as it was sometimes used it other references. She found that she some times talked that way when she was in a good mood.
He smirked slightly. Yeah, I get around. He said, moving a hand to his left hip instictively at the newcomer. His fingers wrapped around the black and gold book there. He had started writing his own spellbook a while ago, and was fiercely protective of it, even going so far as to lock it to his hip with a combination.Letting go of the tome, and smirking slightly at the new male, who was probobly oblivious to the fact that gravity had taken a liking to his feet, and he was now quite stuck, unless he managed to get out of the unmarked circle where gravity was unnaturally strong. a spell of Del's own creation. He turned back to the female 'dragon, and smiled. Can I ask you something, miss...? he started, smiling. Do you know what the technical defenition of "Prank" is? he said, smirking. a ludicrous or grotesque act done for fun and amusement he smiled. motioning to Xerxes, come here, would you? can you? he said, smiling mischeviously. its really pretty funny. he finished, releasing the other arden's feet from gravity's grip and laughing lightheartedly, before producing a perfect paper airplane out of thin air and throwing it to him.
Out of Character

Del, what you did with the spell is considered power playing so unless you get the AOK from Fused Eidolon I’m going to have to ask you to change it to have it come across more as if he “tried to curse the other" or “he aimed a spell towards the other male" or something along those lines.

Thi had come to the concert to enjoy some of Ramath's rock bands, she had felt very bad that she had to leave Panik at home because they did not allow pets. She tried to walk past the first group but couldn't help watching as two 'dragon spun and flipped through an open space, though the flower petals were a dead give away that 'Del was one of the dancers. She was confused for a moment when 'Del ran his hand up the other femmes arm, but she growled slightly when she heard the other femme call him 'mate'. Becoming angry, she tried to push to the front of the crowd, but everyone kept closing in not allowing her to come foreward. At her dorm, Panik shifted about angrily before shooting through the window Thi had left open for she trusted her Trisk that much. A golden Trisk landed on 'Del's shoulder and sqaked angrily at him then began preening itself. Thi had calmed down slightly when she had seen Panik, she had remembered that some 'dragons used 'mate' in only a friend way. So now all she wanted to do was scold him for some, as of now, unknown reason, probably for trying to hex the other male that had burst in with that wierd male aggresion.

out of character Del? I'm going to let it slide this time. Don't do it again, though. :/ in character Xerxes was relieved to learn that he didn't look like a complete fool. Most of the time, he couldn't be bothered to mess around with his hair, though, so it was no shock that she had noticed the difference. While it was still somewhat unruly looking, it was more tamed than was usual. More... controlled, as the gel formed it into more organized spikes. The male reflexively ran a set of fingers through the bladed locks, though it didn't work as well as it usually did, and he shrugged, almost modestly. "Yeah. Figured I'd try something new." Xer replied with a slight grin, shrugging a single shoulder. At Del's mischief, the male's eyes narrowed, a deep frown creasing his brow and lips at the flippant manner in which this stranger used magic. It was not, to Tenor, a toy. Nor was a prank an acceptable reason for using the power one was taught to use. His dislike of the other male was just increasing with every minute. At least he assumed that was what the other arden had done, as he hadn't bothered to move at the gesture to come. No, in fact, he had ignored it entirely. This was why he hated spending time with teenagers. The paper airplane fell at Xer's feet, as the male made no attempt to grab it. His eyes flickered, briefly, to the Trisk that had suddenly appeared, then he spoke. "A waste of good energy, that. Not polite to hex someone like that." The student commented, realizing how old he sounded and not caring. To waste magic energy like that was just stupid. He shouldn't have come.
Cilea frowned as soon as the telepath had reached her mind. She had witness “pranks" being done before, once or twice being at butt of the joke as well. She didn’t know what kind of magic was a use but she was certain that it wasn’t a kind gesture. She took it as personal attack, he barely knew him and yet he would use his own energy to curse him. {No I think you forgot a part, it’s a ludicrous or grotesque act done for fun and amusement at the cost of another} There was a hint of irritation in her telepath that was quickly sent off to A’delos. “And nor do I find that amusing." She motioned her head towards the paper air plan, which to her was a symbol of childhood mischief in a class room. At the sound of something flying over head Cilea quickly glanced towards the bird that landed on the stranger. Since he had also made a display of he’s magic ability she assumed that he had called the bird to him to try and show off in another manner. She strode over to where she had thoughtlessly dropped her bag earlier and pulled it to her shoulder and walked back over too the two ardens. “It’s a sham your manners aren’t as good was your dance moves." She spoke directly to Del then turned to Xerxes. “Would you like to join me to check out the current band Xerxes?" It was funny how the mood of a teenage female could change so quickly in a moment.
As soon as Panik landed on his shoulder, his hand went up to stroke the bird kindly, whilst his eyes scanned the area for Thi. He spied her, and, bluntly ignoring Cilea's scolding. Del wondered if she saw him using magic like a toy, then shrugged it off. She would find some way to scold him for something anyway, that was certain, but he'd get out of it, in the end. He scanned the area for her again, and not seeing her, waved a hand to say he didn't care. sorry, sorry... he said, still stroking panik.
Thi finally burst through the crowd as Panik fluttered back over to her shoulders. She looked angrily at 'Del before turning to Xeres. I'm very sorry for 'Del's behavior. she said before turning back to glare at 'Del again

Xerxes frowned, faintly, and shifted his legs as he tried to think of a way to get out of here. If he just left, right now, then he wouldn't be considered a fool for the rest of the night. Sure, it was a cowardly thing to do, but he didn't want to be brave right now. He just wanted to be at home, curled up with a good book. Either that or out taking photographs among the crowd. Stuffing one hand in an overly large pocket, he fingered the camera that was within, waiting for the right moment to be used. Most didn't know he took pictures, though. So he usually didn't take pictures near those he knew. Of course, the apologies of both Del and the newcomer didn't make him feel much better. He smiled, faintly, at the female of the pair, though. "It's alright. I'm going to go with Cilea and check out the band..." Xerxes barely kept himself from messing with his hair and shurgged a shoulder in an "so come if you want" way, before turning to offer his arm to Cilea in a playfully gentleman manner.
At hearing A’delos sorries Cilea took another glance back thinking that maybe he was apologizing to Xerxes, but it seemed as if he was walking to the bird on his shoulder. Having an unknown girl how appeared to know A’delos apologize for him seemed to lighten the mood a little. But it made her seem like his keeper or something. Cilea decided not to think about it much more, but smiled at the other girl in a friendly way. Seeing Xerxes offer his elbow to her she gladly took it. She had been forced to attend a few of her father large parties with another mans son often by her side and was used to the offer. Today however she was happy to accept. “I think that Wicked may have just ended, I’m not too sure who will be coming on next." She slowly started to walk in the direction of the stage.
she turned back to 'Del glaring after the pair had walked away. She grabbed his arm roughly as the crowd began to walk away. "why would you even try that here in a publc place" she hissed at him. Panik seemed to be amused that 'Del was getting scolded, Panik didn't like 'Del very much, Thi was always with 'Del now instead. "People don't like it when you hex others in public" she sighed "Oh 'Del, what am I going to do with you?!" she asked him exasperated.
He sighed as he was pulled along. but it wasn't a hex... it was an Evocation... He mumbled, like a beaten child. I dunno. I hope whatever it is doesn't involve me getting slapped, is all I'll say... he said. in fact, I didn't even try to Evoke him... I simply... gave gravity a boost. I didn't "Hex" him, I simply... changed the rules of things. He pulled his arm free from Thi's deathgrip, and put an arm around her. you know you can't stay mad at me. I'm like a big teddy bear. cute and fuzzy. he said, choosing his words carefully.

out of character Oh, wow, didn't realize it was my turn. Sorry guys. in character Xerxes was glad Cilea hadn't refused his gesture. He would have felt a bit silly and overconfident if she had. Though not normally insecure, Xer had his moments. Like today, when he was treated like a piece of rock instead of a pendragon. It just wasn't kind to tease like that with someone newly met. Heck, Tenor probably would have gotten quite annoyed with anyone he knew well who did that to him. The male bobbed his head at Cilea's words. "Ever heard the Rogues? They're pretty good. Wonder if they're coming." Random chitchat, but it was nice. The atmosphere - now that there wasn't that other arrogant student around - was very... mellow.
Cilea smiled, happy that Xerxes seemed to be more relax once they had gotten out of the current situation, and willing to talk. She was worried that what happen may have made him quiet She racked her brain for a second, passing the name of the band around in her head. “I think I’ve heard their name on the radio now and then. But I can’t remember if I saw them or not on the line up. I see your wearing some of their merchandise. I’m really looking forward to some of the bands that are coming to play in the last day, like Mavericks of Honour and many others." She glanced around noticing many ‘dragons rushing about to finish up all the stalls and the finishing touches on the stage, surprisingly everything seemed to be coming together really nicely, it would look nice when it was all done. “Hey, you know it’s too bad you didn’t bring your camera. You could of probably gotten some really great shots." Cilea knew that Xerxes would sometimes take pictures of the school paper but hadn’t suggested it before he came.
