Timestamp: 32, Mia, 81380, 9PM Location: The Panic Room Who: Lox, and anyone interested in threading. Anyone and everyone is welcome, in any number. ------ Technicoloured lights swirled, beams rippling over the throbbing mass of bodies on the dance floor. Good lights. The kind that lanced colour into the darkened edges of the room and made an otherwise gloomy room full of light and life. Bright lights that caught and dazzled the eyes when a 'dragon was under that particular high that they get from good dancing. There was the disctinct smell of a club -- perfume, smoke, sweat, mixed breath, drinks. All the smells a club in full swing should have. The floor had a slight gritty feeling, from the dirt 'dragons tracked in with them, but at this point it just served to provide traction. The janitors would wax the floor after closing, or maybe tomorrow, before the club opened again. Feet stamped and shuffled, limbs and tails twirled, bodies writhed to the fast beat pumping through the speakers and their blood. It was a good tune; one without words, but a nice strong beat, and a good melody. It was really something one could dance to. In the middle of the floor, right in the thick of it, somebody was. Really was. Blue and magenta fur turned every colour of the rainbow under the lights, and coupled with the brightly coloured clothes the older arden wore, the clash of two rainbows wouldn't have fit anywhere but a dance club. Bright green hair that faded to white at the tips - not spiked up today, but left long and loose to swing freely as he danced - looked electric in the swirling lights; a startling green shirt, to match his hair, and a pair of bright yellow pants -- schoolbus yellow. Duo-tone eyes were shut as the male lost himself in the beat, tail swaying and jerking like it had a mind of its own, and hips doing things that could only be described as sinful. Everyone around him seemed to catch the feeling, the waves of joy radiating off this arden as he danced, and the middle of the floor became a unified body, one beat, one step, one thought. To dance. Eventually the song stopped, and bodily needs called. Lox didn't even bother to open his eyes as he slid across the floor, slipping easily between bodies, until he got to the edge of the crowd, and seemed to sense the lack of dancing 'dragons. A very pleased smile curled across his mouth, and he made his way to the bar, sweating like a proverbial pig. Dancing was hard work, but he loved it so. It was time for a drink.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Who:Dewlap Meldilane You made it somewhat hard for me to post, I'll try though</td></tr></table> Dewlap loved to dance, that was her reason here. But, she had slipped over to where there were few dancers so she could take a quick drink. She saw Lox slipping over to some of the dragons and wondered why someone like him wouldn't be dancing his heart out. She began to laugh when she saw a 'dragon fall asleep in a chair. He was probably too drunk. The lights made her white fur appear dyed. With the lights flying about her fur looked red and purple, then green and red. It was time away from teaching here, and that was ok, but on the other hand she couldn't get drunk. She'd get in trouble by the school if she did.
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>ooc: Sorry, didn't realize that it was a hard post to join. And sorry for not responding to you -- I was hoping more people would join. Also -- the rules for The Panic Room say that they don't serve alchohol at all, because the club is for minors, mostly.</span> Pulling a mouthful of the crisp, cool glass of juice, Lox turned around to watch the crowd. How he loved watching the crowd -- almost as much as he loved being in it. So many people, all of them dancing and enjoying themselves, lost in their love for the music. Like this one. He grinned at her, and gestured to the dancing floor. "Good beats tonight, ya?" His tail was unconciously swishing, tapping, and flicking to the current one.
"<span style='color:purple'>The music is okay, I've heard better</span>" she said with a chuckle. She looked out at the dance floor, some were beginning to tire, and were slowing down. She made a besture that she would be right back and walked over to the band that was playing and asked them something. They nodded and began to play a song with more of a beat. When she returnd to where Lox was standing she said "<span style='color:purple'>Now this is music.</span>"
