Day : 7th Month : Dyo Year : Year 81376 Character: Kairis Leigh Out of Character My newest character. Please, go see her profile - the link is in my signature - before you go roleplaying with her so you know what to expect. Yes, some violence IS needed around here as as been discussed, and I will attempt to bring that back with Kairis here... Anyone welcome to join, no more than 3 though. In Character Gentle wisps of pale, sterling fog drifted just above the dense woodland. It was very early morning. The air was cold and light snow fell from the sky. It was, after all, near the mountain's peak. An obscure creature treaded stealthily, zigzagging around the trees. Her body, lanky and fragile-looking, was entirely ebony. As the moonlight shone on her, her pelt appeared to be entwined with bright silver. Apparently, she was hunting. Stalking her vast territory solitarily. She had lived here for almost a year now, and prey was becoming scarce. Maybe a new territory was the choice Kairis, the ebony femme, had to make. So off she went, to find a new territory. She didn't care about the territorial brawls she may have to face - she just wanted a new place to live. After about an hour of walking, the morning was still dark. But Kairis was now lower on the mountain, in a brand new territory. She smelled another Pendragon, somewhere around her. So this territory is occupied...well, I don't care. It's mine now. Out of Character Yep, an open invitation to roleplay. You can claim the territory. First come, first serve. Unless two or whatever amount of Pendragons live in the same territory...

[..Character..] Clover Vyojlauv [..Ooc..][/b] I didn't describe Clover very well in this post, so please read her profile. You'll get a better picture that way. ^^ Female of a curious appearance raised her noise to the air, smelling the presence of another pendragon. Just from the scent, Clover could tell the intruder was a female, and a young one. She lifted herself up into a sitting position, putting most of her weight on her front right leg, which was curiously made from machina. The golden tint of it matched her pelt color, but it still stood out. Her left eye and tail were also made from machina. The female wandered out of the small overhang that made up her den, following the scent of the 'dragon. When Clover got sight of her, she zoomed in with her left eye, confirming what she already knew. Returning her machina eye to normal vision, she prowled across the side of the mountain. When she got near enough to the female, she snarled a warning, that clearly said 'get out of my territory or face the consequences.'

Kairis turned to face the elder female, and almost laughed when she saw her body made up of robotic parts. But she only let herself smile mockingly. "It's a shame, for you, that I happened to stumble upon your territory. You'll have to give it up." She raised her head above Clover's in a dominant manner. "And it'll be best for you if you gave it up without a fight, I'm warning you." If you listened very closely, you'd hear her claws digging into the partly-frozen ground as they retracted. Kairis maintained a threatening, menacing glare that stared into Clover's eyes.

[..Character..][/b] Clover
The female considered Kairis' dominant behavior for a moment, the eyebrow over her right eye raised. This female was at least 10 years her junior, yet she was so.. arrogant, or confident. Either she was a very good fighter, or she just thought she was. Clover shook her head once, then raised herself so she was looking down at the female again. She bared her teeth in another warning. "I think it is you who will be leaving." she said, her voice deep as she held off a growl. Her muscles were relaxed, and her machina eye watched Kairis for any slight movements that would end in an attack. Clover would not attack first, she planned to get an idea of what kind of style this female used before fighting for one of her many territories. For any of her other small territories, Clover would not have been so aggressive over, but this one was her favorite. She would not leave it without a fight.

She sized herself up with Clover. Kairis was indeed a bit taller but did seem less muscular. "Oh," she said, chuckling, "I don't think so!" She paused as if she was considering her last statement. Then, unexpectedly, she reared up onto her hind legs and gave Clover a good push to the shoulders. Then, she backed away as if to avoid any retaliative attacks and smiled threateningly at Clover. "Before you make your decision, let me tell you a little something. I left my territory because of lack of prey. But they're probably flocking back now that they've found out I'm gone..." She snickered malevolently. "A few rainstorms should take away the smell of decaying flesh and dry blood, and then the place'll be as good as new. Abundant with prey. Trust me, it's a good place to live. I've been there for over a year." She sat on her haunches and let her tail curl around her. The blank gaze in her eyes gave away the fact she was no longer paying attention to Clover..but considering something. Her old territory was a nice place, but she was sick of it after living there for almost a year. She definitely wanted a change, and if it meant a fight, she was in for it. Even if this wasn't about territory, Kairis would take Clover on, just for the hell of it. The reason for fighting was just...there.

[..Character..] Clover
The fae raised an eyebrow once more, considering what the female before her was saying. As unexpected as the violent push from Kairis, Clover's machina-made eye noticed the change in position and the fast movement that put the female onto her hind legs. As she moved forward to shove Clover back, the tawny colored female braced herself and the claws of her right leg dug into the ground. After the shove, Clover had only moved back a millimeter. She grinned irritatingly at the new female. "You know, surprising as it may sound, I don't care about your territory and the abundance of prey. So do me a favor and shut your mouth." she replied smoothly, a daring glint in her real eye. After considering an idea for a moment or two, she opened her mouth once again and voiced a wager to the young female. "Here's an idea. If we fight and I lose, you get both territories to yourself, and I'll leave. But if I win, you give me your territory to the addition of mine, and you don't bother me further. Do we have a deal, nioti?"

As soon as Clover began speaking once again, Kairis blinked and payed close attention. The female held back a snicker when she was told to shutup. "You're so ignorant. Just giving you the facts, because when I win this, you'll be forced to go...somewhere. Unless you die from your wounds." The ebony female had a certain confidence in her words. As calm as Clover's voice was in her wager, Kairis knew she heard it trembling. It was probably in her twisted imagination, though. With a malicious grin, Kairis anxiously stood up and treaded carefully toward Clover. She wasn't about to make the first move - though young, Kairis had been fighting since she was 5 00. She had learned to see the other's fighting style, and to find the proper counter attacks. As she snarled at the female, she gave her a look that said, 'I dare you.'

Clover smiled at the female as she spoke, still amazed at her arrogance. Apparently whoever had taught her how to fight, had not expressed the danger that arrogance could get one into. If you overestimated your own fighting ability and didn't take into account that your opponent just might be better at fighting, then you would die, sooner or later. Clover preferred it to be sooner, and moved her body into a fighting stance. Hearing Kairis' snarl, the female focused her attention on her opponent. From the look that she had given, Clover knew she wanted her to give the first attack. However, the older fae knew better, and did not take the dare. A smirk played across her visage, and she waited, ready and willing to win this wager.

Kairis patiently circled with the elder femme, the deep snarl never ceasing. She was indeed confident she could win this, because she had fought her whole life with older and sometimes larger opponents. She didn't always win, but as she aged, the odds for a victory from Kairis only increased. Well, apparently, this old, robotic Pendragon was having the same train of thought as her. I'll get her started. Ever so suddenly, she leaped into the air, her wings giving her a lot of leverage, and landed on the female's back closing her wings as to make herself drop faster, and landed with a hard thud. Knocking your opponent down and rendering her unable to retaliate was something she'd rarely do in a battle, especially a territorial one. Okay, sure she wanted Clover dead, but killing her would only be accidental. And Kairis wouldn't care.

[.character.] Clover Vyojlauv [.in.character.][/b] as kairis landed upon clover's back, the robotic fae put the weight on her machina foreleg. clover didn't fall over, and held kairis' weight with ease. a deep growl left her throat. the arrow shaped end of her machina-made tail rocketed toward kairis' backside, guided by the machina eye as best as possible. even if she missed, that would teach the other femme not to underestimate her. after slashing the femme with her tail, not sure if she missed or not, she jumped suddenly, and rolled. she would hopefully dislodge the female and backed up. her paws unsheathed their razor sharp claws. her machina eye watched the female, waiting for her next move. she wouldn't kill the female if she didn't have to.

Kairis realized that this attempt to knock her down was futile, as Clover shifted all the weight she now carried onto her robotic leg. So she immediately hopped off, to the side, barely missing Clover's sharp tail. Kairis would now watch out for that tail. Kairis' jump was at a perfect timing, just as Clover herself made an escape. Her deep snarl turned into a psychotic snicker as Clover patiently awaited an attack from her. Now, she was getting impatient. She approached Clover again, straight on, and pounced straight for her, her claws retracted. She wanted to see just how fast her machina eye could help her react to oncoming attacks before really attacking Clover.
