The guilds monastery lies firmly on a island in the middle of the Sagar Sea, a shiny jewel of magical enterprise that holds many secrets. Buildings fill the island ranging from all sizes, massive halls to tall towers, only a courtyard the size of a football pitch is left open while the rest is lost to buildings. On the southern side are some stairs leading up from the calm sea, with a boat service to the main land. Yet for those who prefer instantaneous travel their is a teleporting room within the guild.

BIC Magnus walked up and down the same corridor in the library, just off from the main desk. He was partially admiring the hall that he had helped build. It was one of the most substantial magical libraries in the world, housing more than 50,000 books and over 47,000 of them being magical while the last 3,000 being extremely rare. Rows upon rows of gargantuan selves filled the hall and enchanted ladders constantly ran back and forth by the selves doing bizarre tasks. Despite his love for this place Magnus was waiting for an apprentice, one that the senior mage Sejv had recommended. At first Magnus was half in mind to plain refuse yet he too had sensed the potential of the young girl who seemed to be more than capable. Magnus shuffled backwards and forwards in his usual grace with his robes moving along with him, his left hand firmly gripped his staff that tapped on the floor repeatedly. He wore his usually mask and gloves letting practically no part of his metal coating skin be shown. He was getting slightly impatient waiting for the girl, he was early however but he liked to be early just so he could complain at how late everyone else was. He stopped pacing and tapped his staff again impatiently.
Character: Chzyuak Chzyuak has recieved her summons, and is hurrying to the monastery. She checked her clock, and was relieved to that she was slightly early. She entered the doors, and looked around for a moment. She hears an impatient tapping, and moves in the sound of the direction. She spots, the dragon, that she somehow knows she is supposed to be meeting. She approaches him. "Hi, I am Chzyuak. I believe you are the one I am supposed to be meeting."
Magnus looked at the girl and frowned from behind his mask, he had the collar of his red and crimson robes folded up behind his mask so it provided a background for the needle like spikes. Sometimes he imagined that other people might find him intimidating yet he liked that thought. The guild had a rule that if you could beat someone in a duel you could take their position and his appearance alone put most young masters down. He however concentrated on the girl again, his eyes peering out from behind the steel mask and examining her. "Next time try not too keep me waiting and you will address me as Sir or Master do you understand apprentice Chz." He said in his firm voice. He loved putting the fear of god into the apprentices yet he wasnÂ’t going to be overly mean to this one. He always had a softer spot for the talented ones and couldnÂ’t help but giving them an easier time.
Chzyuak, stared at the floor for a moment, and looked back up at him. "My apologies Sir." She couldn't help but, look at his color. There was something different about it. She is trying extremely hard, not to fidgit. She may not look nervous but, her tail is refusing to cooperate, and is moving constantly.
Magnus loved his mask, he could pull any face he should chose and no one was any the wiser. He had even pulled a series of stupid faces at some annoying people in the Conclave during a meeting and none of them had know. This was such a time, he was trying to laugh at her uncomfortable situation and all he could do was smile broadly yet it was all hidden by the mask. He looked around at the selves around them making sure her chore was ready then let his green eyes flicker back to her. " Well I need you to make sure every book on this shelf in in alphabetical order. " He said while his right hand waved in the direction of the massive shelf, that was currently part of the G section. His voice sound falsely friendly and somewhat with a tint of sarcastic ness. Like the tone of a patronizing uncle. He liked giving out evil tasks yet this one was one of the worst, not only was it painstaking boring yet it was a good test to see if they concentrated. He was silently smirking behind his mask at his own evilness.
Chzyuak listened to his words, and glanced at the massive shelf, and thought to herself, Well, at least I don't have to build the shelf before organizing the books, this time..... She thinks back to the time, when she was still living with her family, and one of the neighbor kids destroyed a shelf the same size as this one, when practicing a trade inside, and blamed it on her. She takes off the jacket she is wearing, and sets it upon a nearby table. "Sir, I am just making sure that I am understanding correctly. I am to put every book, in the G section in alphabetica order. is this correct?" She looks at the shelve, and notices that there are other books on this shelve besides, G. She starts to curse to herself but, then realizes that she is lucky to even be an apprentice.
Magnus smiled at her question, may a time he had a remembered when an apprentice had not fully understood yet had been to timid to ask then ended up making more mistakes. He knew she would do well hear. He passed his staff into the other hand and shuffled a bit as he readied to leave her to it. "No just this shelf, if you find any that donÂ’t belong their which their shouldnÂ’t be many but just leave them on the table." he said in a bit more of a friendlier tone. He was basically eager to go now, he had some important matters to attended to and he didnÂ’t really want to hang around. Specially with the buzz of activity lately with the increase of members and the exile. He looked the girl again to make sure she understood her task. OOC sorry if theirs a lot of mistakes, IÂ’m uber tired and meh cant type at all.
Chzyuak smiles. "Yes, sir I understand. Put the books on this shelf in alphebetical order, and any other books that don't belong on the table." She turns and looks at the shelve, and then looks for a ladder. She feels her tail twitch, as she realizes there is not a single ladder in the room but, this time she doesn't attempt to stop it. She steps back, and thinks about the best way to do this. She thinks about the time, when she was just learning telekinesis, and was at a store. She wanted something off a shelf but, wasn't able to reach it, so she used her telekinesis, and ended up pulling everything including the shelf, onto herself. She was lucky enough that there was someone there to grab her out of the way, in time. She concentrates on the shelf, and watches as all the books land in piles on the floor in front of her. She looks at one pile, and carefully looks at the titles, and moves the stack to the table. She looks at the other books and starts organizing them, in rows of 5. After a little while, she concentrates, and starts to move the rows back up, and onto the shelf. She sits down at the table to wait for Magnus, to come back and look at her completed chore.
Sejv popped his head around the corner mischievously, he had hard Chz was getting the Nth degree from Magnus and decided to say hello. Obviously making sure that Magnus wouldnÂ’t be around either, he had made sure he would be distracted for a fair while yet. He snuck around the library and looked for the little feydragon, it wasnÂ’t long before he found her sitting on some table waiting for anything. He immediately felt sorry for the girl and how she had been given one of the most boring takes that the academy had. He silently sneaked up behind her and then, with a evil grin poked her softly on the side. " Hey Chz, howÂ’s the old book keeping going" He said with a big grin. "Magnus not being to much of a bully is her," He asked again yet ever so more slightly seriously. Sejv was about to lend a hand when he realized she had already finished the thing, he very quickly gave the shelf a quick scan and everything looked in order. He had to admit he was mildly impressed, they normally took quite a bit longer to do it. Still Magnus was more cunning than that.
Chz looked up at Sejv and grinned. She stood up and stretched. She looks around, and lets out a yawn. "Hiya Sejv, the old book keeping is going just fine. I am half tempted to finished the G section, just for something to do. I am not going to though, because Magnus told me I only had to this shelf. So, how are things going with you?" She looks around at all the books, and wonders if she will have to alphebitize all of them. She wouldn't mind doing so, she has seen all sorts of interesting titles. Perhaps, if she works really hard, and follows the instructions she is given, they might let her actually read some of them, well the ones she can understand.
Sejv smiled at how funny she looked at times, he found midget dragons so amusing he could never help but smile at them. He always had to be careful that he didnÂ’t get a lawyer after him thought, Sejv was far from politically correct. He did however know a few of Magnus's tricks and thought it best he tell her as heads up. "Right IÂ’ve got to be somewhat quick as he wont be gone for long. Any books that you found that didnÂ’t have G in their name where ones he put their purposely and thatÂ’s usually his hint that he wants you to read them. Try to be reading whenever he is around, especially when you have just finished one of his task. He is a big believer in the whole knowledge is power thing." He said in one big blur of speech yet now pausing for a massive inhale. He smiled though afterwards, he had got rid of the serious part of him saying hello and now he was just free to hang around and pretend to busy for a bit. He didnÂ’t have anything to pressing yet he wanted some free time.
Chz thought about his words and smiled. She clapped her hands, and giggled. She looked at the pile of books on the table, and starts sorting them. She looked up at Sejv, with twinkling eyes. "Thank you for the information, I was hoping I might get to read some of them." She hopped down out of her chair, and looked at the shelves, as she stretched. "Thank you again for allowing me to be an apprentice here. So far, I am enjoying it immensely. That probably sounds strange doesn't it?" She looked at two books in paticular, and smiled as they rose up in the air. She giggled, as they started to spin, in slow circles.
Sejv just smiled and nodded at her in recognition of her thanks, he thought it was only fair to give her a heads up about the little trials of this place, after all it was him who get her the placement. He some what felt responsible for how well she did as well, he even took some pride in her achievements in a strange sort of way. "Ah donÂ’t worry about it, someone of your talent deserves to be here." He said warmly, he knew that oen day he would easily surpass him. He smiled quite happy at her little telekinesis tricks and then remembered one of the main reasons he had came. He had come bearing gifts. "Ah yeah before I forget I brought this for you" eh said as he withdrew a small necklace with a little dainty gold link chain. It had a small pendant at the bottom of a tiny blue crystal with a rune engraved onto one side. " It lets you perform spells for longer with less strain so you can play with telekinesis for ages with much less effects. The resident enchanter makes them for a somewhat hefty price but you deserve it." He said with his mischievous grin, he had many different forms and variations of grins.
Chz listened to Sejv's words, and the books dropped to the floor. She quickly bent down picked them up and placed them back on the table. She turned and looked at him, with slightly reddened cheeks. She gently took the necklace, and stared at it. She thought to herself, Oh wow, tis wonderful. How on earth will I be able to pay him back.... She gasped, and said,"Sejv, it is lovely. How am I ever going to be able to pay you back for it?" She walked back to the chair, and sat down in it. She can't help but, stare at the necklace, and smile.
Sejv just laughed openly at her words, he couldnÂ’t believe she thought he wanted her to pay him back. He would have to explain the meaning of a gift later. Instead he just walked behind her and went about fixing it around her neck softly. "DonÂ’t worry about it, consider it a apprentice present or something." He said with a smile as he finished fixing the clasp on the necklace then proceeded to put on of the books back on the shelves that she missed. He found it amusing the way she reacted to a gift, he liked to give gifts though so she better get used to it. He was more than well off from his dealings on the guilds behalf and he had few things to spend it on at times.
Chz sat quietly as Sejv, as he helped adjust the necklace. She thought to herself, A present, I haven't recieved one in a long time. It is kind of a nice feeling. She smiled as she turned and looked up at him. "Thank you very much, it is very pretty." She walked over to another shelf, where she had spotted a couple of books laying on the floor. She bent down to inspect the titles. She stood back up, and looked at the books, and raised them in the air. Then she quickly moved them across to the shelf, that she just a few moments ago, had finished alphebetizing. She quickly put them into there proper places. She stopped, turned and looked at Sejv in amazement. "Why I don't feel as tired as normal, from using my telekinesis this much." She ran over and gave him a big hug. "Thank you very very much, it is wonderful."
Sejv turned to watch her play with her new powers a little but and just smiled broadly. He always found telekinesis fascinating and he sometimes envied the powers of the masters of it. He had seen them lift people into the air with a look or see them flight massive lumps of rocks with just a blink. It was amazing. He gave her a soft pat on the back however when she hugged him, she was far to small for him to hug her back properly. "Ah donÂ’t worry about it" He said while going slightly red in the cheeks a bit. He had no idea it meant so much to her. However his expression dropped slightly when a little device on his wrist began to beep. It was a signal locater and it was tuned into Magnus at the moment, Sejv had slipped a little device on his robes before he had paid a visit just to give him a heads up warning. "Oh damm, Magnus is on his way back already so thatÂ’s my queue to leave" He said in and rather annoyed and sad voice. "Great seeing you again" As he prepared to set off.
Chz quickly sat down, and picked up one of the books that she had looked at earlier. She called out,"It was great to see you Sejv. Thank you again for the necklace." She looked down at the book, and opened it, and started reading it. She felt a little sad that, he had to leave but, understood that he had other things to get done.
Sejv slipped away after waving goodbye, he just wandered around the corner as the tapping sound of Magnus's staff came along. The tall mysterious Master Mage came around from the same direction as Sejv but from a different isle. He wandered closer with his eyes scanning around from behind his mask. eh steel expressionless face that never changed looked at the girl studying hard with her book. He knew the shelf was going to be in order. He could just tell. He smiled with a impressed grin yet it would always be hidden by the mask. He cleared his throat to make sure she knew he was their. "Well its good to see your making use of the library and its facilities then* he said with a neutral tone, he didnÂ’t like to let the apprentices know he was pleased with them. He looked at the pile of books she had and noted how they were the opens he had set their, what apprentices never realised was the books were magically arranged to be in perfect order, and if they werenÂ’t, it was because he had made them that way. Shelf G was always arranged this way. OOC End
