But only for this one post. *Struts around showing off Jodie's smexie H4 things*
In Character
...And the stars will show. Where the waters flow. Where the gardens grow. That’s where I’ll meet you. Okkie had her eyes shut as she laid back on her comfy bed and listened to her music. She was totally relaxed -- cozy in a red hoodie and some navy blue jeans. No shoes or socks of course. In fact her only accessories despite the necessities were her chunky deejay headphones and her navy beanie. This particular pendragon was particularly chillaxed... stretched out on her polka-dot comforters and enjoying her free evening off from classes. And the sun will glow. Melting all the snow. Knowing all I know. That’s where I’ll meet you. 'Kie hummed along and twitched her cinnamon tail as she enjoyed the song. She was completely at bliss in this moment -- she had the dorm' to herself (Tirran was out) and the whole night spreading before her. Not to mention her gigantic collection of songs. This would be a great night of chillaxing to the music. 'S long as nobody interrupted her...
Tem's tongue slid silently over her thin lips as her paw came crashing against the door across from her own dorm room. Perhaps she liked annoying the neighbors. She wiped a thin line of drizzle from her mouth with a fore, balancing easily on her hind limbs. The cloak enveloped her, catching every natural curve and sway to her figure; even so, her mutationed plume remained behind. Her heritage was something she despised, thus the gouging of her haunch tatoo.
Here’s an invitation. And you gotta bring your friends along. Gonna pick you up tonight at one... Over the languid lyrics of her music the blue-eyed pendragon heard a dull thudding. Okkie slid her headphones off her lobes a bit and cocked her overly-large ears. It was then that she realized that the noise was more of a... dull roar. Her eyebrows rose as she wondered who the hell was knocking so damned hard on her door. A few grumbled curses escaped her lips as the youth slipped from her bed and stalked to the door. “Who’s there? Would you please, ah, stop having a seizure against my door?”
Tem smirked rather harshly as she heard the rude moaning and groaning of the creature behind the door. It sounded feminine and thus she took it upon herself to assume it female. "I am Tem...merely wanted to grant you a hello." Speech formed into a rather aggitated grumble. Her arms crossed as she awaited the 'dragon to open that accursed door. Her cerulean tipped bangs covered her facial features, as usual, creating an even more mysterious aura about herself.
The chunky head gear found itself around Okkie's neck as she pricked an ear to listen to the voice on the other side of the door. Merely wanted to grant her a hello...? The voice was sultry and menacing in a way... and 'Kie had never heard a more suspicious sentence in her life. Yet -- she wasn't afraid to put her chocolate paw on the doorknob and pull it open. Blue eyes flashed as they fell upon the female stranger. The banded pendragon did a quick once-over and then leaned on her doorjamb in a nonchalant but passively aggressive way. “Right. I can easily tell from where I’m standing that you aren’t the type to run up to someone and say ‘hello’. So what’s your real reason for pestering me this evening?”
Tem released a sly snicker as she stepped backward, glaring at the female from behind her blue tipped bangs. "Just as a said, merely...shall I say...wishing hello to the neighbors." A hesitant wave was administered as she again stepped forward, glaring at the girl before her; noting their similarity of wings. The only difference was that blood was administered into some feathers of Tem's but she didn't care about the stains; they were there and nothing she could do about it until the feathers shed themselves. "How coincidential...our wings, they are similar." And yet...I'm sure you aren't mutated as I am. She yelled within herself, something she often found herself doing. She hated her mutated plume and yet again, she loved it.
Okkie felt herself slipping into a more aggressive stance as Tem responded with a rather enigmatic rejoinder. The banded pendragon didn't want to be ensnared and left unawares... this dark-haired female seemed like she had a few tricks up her sleeve. She seemed subtly hostile... and 'Kie wouldn't give her a chance to do anything injurious to either herself or the dormitory. No way. “Yes, they are a bit similar,” she replied slowly as she leaned against the doorjamb. Vaguely trying to block any attempts at entrance, should Tem try anything. “But I doubt the stories behind them are the same. Yes... I very much doubt you had to visit the under world in order to attain yours.”
Tem rose an eyebrow, interest quickly setting in. She stepped forward, yet not enough to burst the fellow 'dragon's "bubble". "Underworld, 'eh? Sounds interesting. I was born with mine yet that doesn't mean my journey has been less exciting or dangerous." Tem ended with a small nod as she leaned backwards, a yawn slightly escaping her. She wanted conversation but standing was getting annoying.
Cinnamon body was fully tensed as Okkie listened to Tem's rejoinder. It was less hostile this time... and more injected with innocent interest. Should the caramel female let her guard down and invite this stranger in? Hell - why not? If the hellion caused any trouble 'Kie was quite capable of kicking ass. “You can come in and hear the whole story if you like,” the blue-eyed teenager said slowly. She gently moved away from the door and into the interior of her dormitory. No longer blocking. No longer overly defensive. Just guardedly inviting. “You can sit on Tirran’s bean bag chair. He’s my roommate, but he ain’t here.” She motioned towards said blob of beans and plastic and then flopped down onto her own. While her demeanor seemed decidedly more relaxed now... beneath the hoodie and the blue jeans her hackles were prickling. Just in case.
Tem entered casually, arms falling to her sides as her body fell against the soft cushion of the bean bag chair. She pulled her cloak tighter around herself for a sense of security. She glanced around momentarily, noting the nice interior of the dorm room. Why can't I find someone to move in with? Thoughts floated for a few more moments before her crania was shaken and she focused once more on Okkie. "I do not beleive you have yet to give me your name, miss..." She awaited response, fore paws sliding to her knees.
Dazzling blue orbs remained glued on Tem as she sauntered over to the bean bag chair and sat down graciously. Okkie was trusting this darkly-clad female more and more... but it would be a while before total trust was achieved. “They call me Okkie,” the banded one said in response to Tem's words. “The Twelfth. You can call me either Okkie or Twelve... doesn’t matter much to me.” Her plush tail curled around her slender body as Okkie relaxed against her bean bag chair. Her headphones were still slung around her neck and she could hear bass pumping delicately. It was a nice backdrop for this moment so she dared not turn it off... 'Kie merely listened to it absently as her oculars pierced the stranger near to her. Time for tales - eh? “I’m somewhat ambiguous. Some say I am not a full-blooded pendragon. Many speculate that my pet, my familiar, Xarbie, is a mirage from Fronima. I daresay I am a bit enigmatic... but then really quite normal, you’ll find.” She gestured at her headphones... her clothes... the typical dormitory walls. Okkie had stories - oh yes. But she wanted Tem to understand that she wasn't some spooky underground type 'dragon. She had her mysteries... but she was also just like any other everday teenager.
Tem observed, listened, and silently soaked all of this in. Her new "acquaintance", seemed very interesting. "Yes, you seem very normal Twelve." Should I tell her about myself?...She did trust me enough to tell me about herself. "Would you like to hear about myself? Tem blinked slowly, arms folding over one another to form yet another cross.
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. And they’re like - it’s better than yours. Damn right, it’s better than yours. I could teach you, but I’d have to charge. Okkie tried hard not to pay attention to the soft music throbbing beneath her ears. She kept her lucid azure orbs fixated on the strangly 'gothique' femme occupying the bean bag chair across from her. Tried to focus on the questions she was asking... “Anything you’d like to share.”
A Petite chuckle fell from her soft violet lips, her glimmering pink eyes glanced about the room once more as she situated herself to tell her own story. "Yes. I will tell you about myself. When I was a child I murdered both of my parents as well as gouging the flesh my birth tatoo had been placed upon." A long nailed paw flicked toward her left haunch; a violent scar and stitches were all that was left of the once vibrant(?) tatoo that once inhabited the flesh. "I was banned from my home town, assumed to be a witch. I was gifted with magic from a very young age, they, the other pendragons were afraid of me. They also said my abnormal pink eyes and flame tail were a mutation, a sign of evil." She slid her tail from behind the long flowing coat to expose a slender, flame tipped plume. Clearly a mutation but it fit her. The flame was calm, a soft hue of black with dark blue within it's center. She stopped momentarily to allow the other, music induced fem to speak, respond if she wished to.
Ah, so I invited a serial killer into my dormitory, Okkie thought with a smug grin. Nevertheless - this little fact didn't alarm or surprise Okkie. She flexed her wings behind her and settled further into her steadily-warming bean bag chair. She felt completely relaxed in this murderer's company. Maybe because of how smooth Tem delivered her story. “Killed your parents. Huh. Interesting. What made you do something like that? And can you really blame those who thought you were a witch?” 'Kie snickered just then. Her tail-tip flickered as she eyed Tem. It wasn't an insult... more like a thinly-veiled compliment.
Tem released a sly chuckle, her fingers tracing the fur along her arms. "You see. My parents were secretly thinking of a way to kill me without the villagers finding out. I had to get to them before they got to me, correct?" Her head slightly tilted, metallic pink globes shone through the heavy shadows of her long and thick bangs. "I do not blame them for thinking me a witch. But I blame them for their blind criticism and their attempts to burn me to death." Then she released an involuntary cackle. "Your abode is quite humble Twelve. Tem Stretched, arms reaching over her head before again crossing across her chest.
Okkie listened intently to everything Tem had to say, nodding and murmuring as she did so. When the other had apparently finished her tale, the banded pendragon then leapt from her bean bag, and crossed the room. She reached her bed, then crouched down, extending an arm to scoop a bag of chips from beneath it. As she returned to her seat, Okkie ripped the bag open, and when she finally flopped back down, she offered the snack to Tem. “Humble, aye. No fridge or stove, but I have my own little cache of food. And it’s a good thing, too, because your story gave me an appetite. Witch burnings and parental murders always do! I agree with you, though, about blaming others for being prejudiced. Personally, I think you are your so-called ‘mutations’ are quite pretty.” She said this all matter-of-factly, and popped a few chips in her mouth when she was done speaking. Azure oculars never left Tem, and ears never stopped waiting for the next reply.
Tem nodded gracefully and plucked a few chips from the bag, resting them in one paw while pulling one at a time to her jowl with the other. She smiled softly at the other 'dragons compliment, then she nodded. "Thank you very much Twelve. Your markings, are beautiful as well. The bands are very unique. I like them." Tem released a soft laugh as she continued to munch. Yum. She hadn't eaten in awhile.
“Heh. I was born with these bands. Somehow, I think they... mean something. I think they are simultaneously a blessing and a curse. Yet, I have no idea why. I just... know. I think they have something to do with why I have no family, and why I seemingly have no past to speak of.” Okkie spoke softly, munching on her chips as she assumed a thoughtful expression. It was hard to explain her history, when she herself knew so little about it. “You see, before everything, I woke up. Only, I wasn’t newborn, and just waking up to the entire world. No, I was a good, though young age, and surfacing from a life, and a sleep, and reason I couldn’t even remember. I missed many months, and I haven’t yet found them. I doubt I ever will.”
Tem listened and absorbed all that the young 'dragon was saying; twisting and observing it within her mind. When Twelve had finished speaking Tem remaing silent for a few moments. "I see. Perhaps I could be of assistance? We could search for your past. However, it would seem to be a very hard task. Considering, you yourself doubt you will find the missing months of your life." Tem fell into a pondering stance, her eyes focused upon the ground below, her eyebrows furrowed downward. "I am glad I met you Ms. Twelve. It seems as if we connect in an odd way. I don't know how or why. It just feel something. I apologize if I seem odd. For I don't even understand myself." She released an uneasy chuckle as her metallic morganite opticals rose from the ground and back to the newest ally.
