Thela prowled through the bushes, she was hungry, and had heard that 'dragons come here to study, so she came here to...interupt, and maybe find a camper or two for snacks. She chuckled oh how she loved it, being a vamp and all. She could have sworn someone was watching, or following her, maaybe just parnoia. She wore a belt like thing right above her hind legs, it had a gadet afixed to it, it was from, well lets just say a friend, and she finally figured out how to use it.

She found a nice clearing and sat, she pulled the gadeget off and tinkered with it, she pressed a button, a small laser knife apeared, she started to cut some branches with it, she was planingon setting up a camp for now, she had gathered some big leaves, and was now colecting branches, for a shelter.

A pair of feet covered with warm pair of boots landed heavily on the thin layer of ice that was covering the weak grass. Gemini's task was simply enough for her piloting class, she was supposed to fly to Dhruv and collect a couple of weather reading from the island for a couple of days, and then return back to Swaraj with the readings. And then she would have racked up a few more hours that needed to advance in her carrer. Gloved hands smoothed out the tan parka that she had on, although it was a little warm. She turned on her heel, reaching up into the small one-man hovercraft that contained a small metal box, and inside of that was the small stakes that she had to stick down in the ground to get a decent reading.

It wasn't a really hard job in her mind, the weather had been decent flying up to the Island, so she wasn't worried about having any trouble what so ever as she locked up the craft, shoving the keys into the pocket of her parka, and stepped down onto a more solid patch of gorund, which was the yellowed grass. She had picked to land on one of the less frigid parts of the island, reckoning that she'd probably have a little better weather to get a reading from, and probably easier to put the damned stake in the ground. And that was the first thing she did when she got onto that solid ground was crouch down, open the box, and put the stake in the ground, watching the three lights that flickered to life on the top of it. A red one meant that it couldn't get a reading, a yellow one meant that it wasn't getting a good enough reading, but it flashed green, making a small beep as it confirmed it was happy right there in the ground.

She smiled to herself, and then carried on, closing the box and lugging it along with her. It wasn't a very big box, but it did stand out, being red. Gemini only had to put a couple more of those little things in the ground before she could have a two-day vacation one of the coldest places on the planet. To an ordinary pendragon, that didn't sound too much like fun, but Gemini didn't mind it, especially when she opted to do a job when no one else would. Someone had to do them, after all. She headed towards some brush, the cold wind against her back for the time being as she moved along, stepping through the bushes. It wasn't until she heard the sound of something making a hissing (or was it buzzing?) noise and she saw a small branch fall. Someone else was on the Island? Her coyotl-like ears perked up almost immediately, but she didn't move ahead through the brush, she only called out instead.

    "Is someone there?"

  3. Thela looked up, somone just spoke to her "Yes, I'm just camping here." she said contiueing to cut brances. When she got enough, she flipped it to a normal knife, and started to smooth the sticks out, cuttingoff knobs, bar, and leaves, shapening the tips, to stick them in the ground, then take the smaller sticks and use them to hold the leaves on. She knew how to survive, and was glad she did, or else right now, she would be a very cold vamp. She just kept working, although she was being watched by someone, she didn't care, she would probably kill them or it later. She needed shelter set up 'cause another vamp told her there was going to be rain, witch was very odd on this island, very odd indead. She knew that rain on this island ment, hurricanes, tornados, or monsunes. And this particular vamp, didn't like wet.

She then said " There is going to be rain, I sudgest you make a camp, not watch me" she didn't want her soon to be prey getting sick, sick blood doesn't taste very good to a healthy vamp, a sick vamp, is a defferent story.

  4.

The sandy thill's green eyes flickered defiantly for a moment, as she didn't like to be told what to do by someone that she didn't know (and even more so, someone she couldn't see), but the piloting 'dragon frowned momentarily, sorry that she was going to have already deal with a storm when she needed to plant the rest of the stakes in the ground. Stepping through the brush a bit, Gemini spoke to the other, not looking at them as she watched her footing through the tangled masses of unruly grass and the like; "Oh, well I'm afraid I'm one step ahead of you there," and as she looked up at the grey 'dragon, her facial features looking in total surprised while her mouth seemed to lip 'oh' into the air, but it faded out, realizing that she had just met someone else who enjoyed moving about on all fours. It was probably easier to do on such an island, most of it being ice.

"D'you know what kind of storm it'll be?" Gemini said, studying the camp that the other had made, wondering just what she was doing. Folding back the coyotl-like ears, Gemini looked around at the slowly clouding-up sky, wondering if it was going to snow, or something like that. She knew that Dhruv got a lot of snow, and towards the Tria reason she knew the southern portion of the island that they were on was definately prone to monsoonal styles of weather. That was how the island kept a thick layer of ice on it year round, if she remembered right. "I hope it won't be too bad, I've got a few more of these meteological stakes to stick in the ground..." she said quietly, frowning. Gemini did love weather and it's strange way of containing electrical, ice, and water elements all together, but she sometimes wished it wouldn't intervene like it did when she needed to do something.

  5. She stuck the sticks in the ground, and said "It's going to to be rain, or possibly very heavy sleet" she said folding leaves onto the sticks. She sighed, it seemed like noone could tell the weather anymore, at least she had her sources. "Well, just don't get youself hurt in the storm" she sighed, with no worry at all.

She finished her hut and sarted burning the leaves on, to weld this type of leafe you needed delecate sorcery, or kinesis.

  6.

Gemini didn't say anything once the feral thill had spoken to her, just shrugged and set off to finish up what she had to do. It seemed kind of funny to her, why some strange would have concern for a thill who wasn't even native to the island, but each to their own, she figured. Finding another decent, semi-open spot to place another stick down she did so, watching the lights and listening for the small beep that she had grown used to hearing before in classrooms and demostrations.

It wasn't too much longer after she had repeated this process once more along the small un-iced basin of the island that the wind began to whip hard, and she knew instantly that the temperature was beginning to drop. Cautious-like, Gemini pulled the hood of her parka suit up, hiding away her coyotl ears for the time being as she moved along. A few stray flakes from the sky drifted down in her wake, and while she was making her way back through the small copse where she had seen the grey 'dragon at before, stopping by her hut with the last stake in her hand. "Are you sure that thing'll hold up in this weather? The wind's picking up quite a bit." Since she had been offered a stray bit of concern, the least she could do was return it, wasn't it?

  7. " oh don't worry, I've done this before, I practicly lived on this island all my life...." she said sitting on a rack and letting thewind blow on her wings, she loved wind, and her abilaty to fly, because she was born on a windy mountan, and grew up loving it. She was waiting for the moon to rise, she wanted to hunt, and she only hunted at night. She wondered if the 'dragon had noticed if she was a vamp, and/or her scar, she hoped she didn't.

  8.

( -offers a metal bat to be beaten with.- )

"Ah well, if that's the case, then I'll trust your judgement." Gemini said with a smile, putting just a little more trust into the stranger that she had just met. She hesitated for a moment, not sure if there was much else to be said, when a cold blast of air reminded her of what was about to crash down on both of them. "Well, I guess I'd better get back," she said, "Thanks for the head's up."

And with that being said, she turned away, watching where she stepped for a couple of paces and then started off in a mild-mannered mood, when empathy picked that moment to strike her in an indifferent way. Gemini didn't know if it was because of the weather that she felt slightly paranoid just then, but she knew whatever sort of wave of emotion had come over her, that it wasn't a really good one. The feral thill that was now behind her and back in that copse somewhere seemed just a bit too passive for her tastes, but for the most part she merely shrugged it off, as the one-man craft came into view.

  9. She looked at the femmie "Good... she has trust" Melting the glue-like sap from the leaves, she attached them to the sticks. Now that her shelter was finished, she could stalk her properly.
