42 Tessera, 81380 Laymseot wandered down the dock, his nose wrinkled as the strong scent of fish assailed his nostrils. He coiled his tail delicately across his snout, glancing about for the best fish he could find. He couldn't stand the smell, but he loved the taste of fresh fish, especially fresh smoked fish. Even through the thick fur of his tail, he could follow his nose to the strongest fish smell. He looked at all of the vendors offerings before settling on a small stall near the end of the docks. Not too many pendragons were down at this end so late at night, so he was alone with his thoughts. "Four of your finest smoked fish please." He said softly, his own voice startling him in the quiet. The fish monger nodded and dug four smallish fish from their nest of ice and wrapped them in paper. He twisted along his length, digging his head into a pack slung at his side. 'This would be easier if I had taken a bipedal form.' He thought, snaking his head back out with a few coins in his mouth and dropping them on the counter. "Is that enough?" He asked, looking at the coin. He had never learned how to count very well, so he wasn't sure if the nula would cheat him or not. He took the wrapped fish in his mouth and dropped them into his pack and looked back up. He saw that the nula had pushed a few coins back towards him, so he took those as well and made his way back up the docks, accompanied only by the soft hissing of the waves and his own thoughts. Engrossed as he was, he didn't notice when he had made his way back into the crowd. Laymseot weaved through a rather large group of giggling thill with ease, only to be knocked on his haunches when he ran headfirst into a furry body. "Sorry." He murmured, getting back up.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Who: Neveeve Wearing: Her scarf</td></tr></table> Neveeve was sitting on a bench with a fish stabbed on her main tail spike, she had been munching on it thoughtfully. She watched an arden crash into someone, and mutter something. She chuckled, and lept onto the ground, and walked over to him on all fours, like he was walking around as, "<span style='color:orange'>Not used to big crowds, not used to?</span>" she said in her poor english, since all her life she had not needed to use it, she had always talked to her tribe, like their race normally spoke, grunts, hisses, lizard stuff as another pendragon might call it. The fish was still impaled on her tail, and half eaten. She sat down, brought it back up to her face, and started munching on it again. She studdied the arden, he wasn't used to big crowds like this, or people for that matter, the way he had tried to avoid bumping into someone, or the fact he didn't give a hello when he walked by, like everyone else. She pulled the fish off her tail with one hand, and tossed it into the trash can near by, "<span style='color:orange'> I be Neveeve, not good English, not really.</span>" her vowels were drawn out, and it made it hard to understand when she said a word with two vowels in a row.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Who: Kojeyot Umdaltyol (Kojey)</td></tr></table> The silver figure watched the clumsy arden with a slight chuckle. He sat a bit aways on a bench as he watched the quadroped. He wasn't wearing his shirt as he normaly did in public and thus, the Fey's two huge feathery wings billowed out behind him and even rested on the other side of the bench, just barely not touching the floor. His yellow eyes turned to the Tkula as she entered his feild of vision. He sighed gently and his blue hair fell over his eyes just a bit. He stood up and with a sigh, made his way over to them. When he got a bit closer, he put on his amazing smile and freeted the two of them, looking first to the dejl before turning his head to the arden. <span style='color:purple'>"Hello, I hope you both are enjoying your night?"</span> He flashed his smile yet again at the two.
Shadow had bought some fish from the market just moments ago, only to be rammed by some clumsy dragon. Without any time to react, she fell hard on her back, dropping the three fish in her pack. Opening her eyes a bit, she saw three dragons, two pendragon and one Tkula, standing near her, helping up the one who ran into her. The black furred pendragon cursed under her breath. "Clumsy brute." She picked herself up and her fish as well, hoping they weren't damaged, and dusted her shining black pelt off and moved her dark red hair out of her face. She stretched her black feathered wings to make sure nothing was broken. "Watch it next time!" she yelled.
"<span style='color:green'>Sorry</span>." He muttered, hanging his head. Lamyseot didn't mean to bump into her, he didn't want her to be mad at him. He sighed looked up to the Fye and Tkula that were hovering over him. "<span style='color:green'>Your English is not so bad</span>." He told the Tkula, giving her a small quick smile before glancing around at the crowd again, moving his tail out of the way when it seemed it would go unnoticed and be stepped on. The flame at the tip burned a light yellow, indicating that he was a bit anxious. "<span style='color:green'>Yes, it's a good night</span>." He said a bit uneasily, sizing up the two as if ready to fight or fly. He shuffled his wings nervously, waiting to see if they would want to stay and talk or if he could continue on his way. Not that he was against talking, but he had already made someone mad and he didn't want to offend anyone else.He sighed lightly and shifted his weight, ruffling his wings against the slight chill in the air. He kind of liked the two, they seemed nice. He didn't really want to go home just yet so, he hopped up on the bech and unwrapped his fish, spearing one on his claw. He munched it slowly, looking out over the waves, savoring the taste. "<span style='color:green'>A very nice night...</span>" He said almost under his breath.
<span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Just so you know, it's Takula, not Tkula</td></tr></table> She smiled at the comment, and then took some time to look at the others. The white arden was obviously feydragon, she'd seen many of those, and the black thill, probably another pendragon. She thought, there were hardly any, to no Takula here at all, that made her somewhat sad. She began to lick her tail spike when the arden started eating the fish, both to clean it, and to get any more fish flavor off of it. "<span style='color:orange'>Chilly, but nice.</span>" Neveeve agreed with the ardens. She pulled her scarf around the rest of her neck, and her shoulders, since they were the coldest. She jumpped up on the other side of the bench that Lamyseot was sitting on, she liked the bench, better than the ground. Propping herself up on her hind legs like she was going to leap, she gripped the edge on the bench in front of her, and hunkered down, the others were warmer because they had fur, and not cold blood, she was quite chilled. She should have brought coats, she totally thought that.
Kojey smiled at them. He nodded to both of their indications of the night and he glanced at the Tkula though his attention was drawn mostly to the arden. <span style='color:purple'>"Indeed, the night is cold."</span> the Azetsum was bored out of his mind as he ran his lithe hand through his blue hair once more. His eyes flicked a bit angrily to the ebony femme before turning back to the male interestedly.
He looked up from his fish long enough to note interestedly that the female was neither a pendragon nor a feydragon. He hadn't seen anyone like her before. Not that he had been away from home very often, nor very far. The gaze that he was getting from the arden was a bit unnerving but he stood the scrutiny, looking hard into his eyes, hoping for the fey's gaze to flicker from him for atleast an instant. Laymseot stopped staring for a quick second, long enough to notice that Neveeve was cold. He shifted through his bag, pulling out a small blanket. It had a large hole for a dragon to stick his head through and a smaller pair of holes on each side for arms or front legs. He offered it to the Takula and returned his gaze to the other pendragon. <span style='color:green'>"Want a fish?" </span>He asked. They were good, but he had had better and was thinking about going to the shop he normally did. "<span style='color:green'>They're good, and still fresh." </span>He wasn't sure what else to say. He didn't normally talk to anyone he didn't know and if he did it wasn't for very long. He had already been around these two longer than most. His tail flame had already faded to a greenish-yellow color.
Sighing, she brushed off the baleful glances of the silver dragon and turned around to the nervous looking one. "Sorry about that." She started, "I have a short temper. I didn't mean to yell at you." She shivered just a bit, her black fur bristling up just a little. "It sure is cold out here." Shadow looked up at the night sky, aglow with brilliant stars and the light of the nearly full moon. A cold breeze blew by which caused her to wrap her arms around herself and her tail around her legs. Looking at the three dragons on the bench she asked, "Think there's enough room for me there?"
Neveeve grabbed the shawl/blanket thing, and put it on, sticking her head out of the head hole. She patted the bench gently with her tail, "<span style='color:orange'> Yes, room there is. </span>" she said. She was tempted by the offer of fish, but she'd eaten, "<span style='color:orange'> No, Neveeve is fine, thanks much for the blanket </span>" she said to Laymseot. She curled her tail, spike side out, against her toes, and began to think at what her tribe would be doing now. She shrugged, and turned to look back at the others, a motley group they were, an almost all-pure white 'Fey, a pair of differently colored 'Dragons, and a cold, metallically colored Takula.
<span style='color:green'>"It's alright, I ran into you. Not the other way around."</span> He said shyly, examining the female. A very pretty black color, he thought. <span style='color:green'>"Plenty of room." </span>He said, shifting his weight to the far side of the bench. He was a bit uncomfortable, there being so many people so close. He figured he could deal with it for a bit longer though. When no one took his offer of the fish, he shrugged and continued nibbling on the one he had gotten out earlier, staring out over the water. He hadn't been to the city down there, and sometimes he thought about going. That was actually why he was out here tonight. He was going to go down and maybe stay a while. Looking out over the waves though, he felt a sense of forboding. <span style='color:green'>"You're welcome...Neveeve was it?"</span> He finished his fish in one last bite, hopping down from the bench to studiously licking his claws clean. His excuse would have been that they were greasy from the fish, but he really just wanted to avoid close contact with the two thill.
He smirked at the other males attempt to get away from them slightly, though he didn't let him know, best to keep knowledge to oneself after all. He tilted his head back and gazed up at the darkend sky. <span style='color:purple'>"Stars."</span> he mumbled. <span style='color:purple'>"You can't see the stars this bright in the city...they look, so much more enchanting out in the country."</span> he said louder this time.
She glanced up as well. "Stars are so beautiful. I remember when I lived with my family, we lived in a small house in the woods away from the city, you could see the stars glittering so brightly every cloudless night. It's sad that those who were raised in, and spend their whole lives in the city, almost never get to see the night's beauty in all it's grace. Don't you think?" She looked at the silver dragon, then at the rest. "Well, I know ya'll have probably already introduced yourselves, but, I'm Shadow. Pleased to meet you, and, sorry for my rudeness earlier."
<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>OOC Sorry for the delay, exam stress got to me T.T</span> <span style='color:green'>"I never saw many stars where I lived. Too many lights all the time." </span>He sighed and shifted on his feet, picking a spot to sit on the ground that didn't look to rocky or sandy. <span style='color:green'>"I guess we haven't really introduced ourselves, have we?"</span> He chuckled, though didn't offer his name. He didn't want to be ther first. He really didn't want to give out his name at all, but they were all nice enough, and he did want some friends around here.
Kojey chuckled slightly, it sounded almost like a bell as he smiled at Shadow. <span style='color:purple'>"Pleased to meet you, I am Kojeyot Umdaltyol or Kojey if you wish to call me that."</span> he turned to the others and smiled again. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span> <table class='ooc'><tr><td>Translate out his name to find out why his name is so long and complicated.</td></tr></table>
