"Come on babe, coooome on." His hand slid over the jagged rock, trying to find his prey. His finger touched something considerably smoother than the rock he was leaning against. For an instant he thought he had trapped the thing, but the moment he came in contact with the tussler crab it scurried off. Irritated, Arol removed his hand from the crevice and stood up. The arden let out a sigh, then turned his eyes downward to inspect the state of his clothing. His jeans, which hadn't really been all that beautiful to begin with, were now sprinkled with sand. His knees had been exposed through the worn patches and the sand had gotten into his pants through these holes. He did his best to brush the grit off, but he still wasn't presentable. Not that he was trying to impress anyone on the beach.

His actual goal was to catch a crab or two, but they were very good at hiding from him. Arol had been searching for them on a large rocky structure along the water, but it wasn't going well. The rocks were home to an abundance of coastal organisms, anything that could stick to the rock did. It was close enough to the water that when the tides came in, they'd get a fresh supply of it. Luckily for Arol, it was low tide at the moment, and he was perfectly safe to go crab hunting. Of course, it would be a lot easier if the damned crabs would sit still.

The Yki male hopped onto the rock, trying to ignore the fact that it was jabbing into his rear as he sat down. If he couldn't have his way and spend the morning taking notes on the tussler crab's physical structure, he supposed he could act like a normal person and simply enjoy the view. Arol pulled a granola bar out of his pocket for a mid-morning snack and watched the waves. The ocean was a dark blue, almost black, and the sky was a dull grey, but it was still calming. At times like these, it was easy to forget his troubles, and that was a welcome feeling.[/blockquote]

  2. [ooc]Oh hai thaaar~
    Who:Tiramitsu[/ooc]

Tira shivered as she walked along the beach her hair whipping about her in a wild dance as though it was trying to fly off into the sky and out to the murky depths. It was cold, maybe due to her lack of suitable clothing, but she had needed to get away from everything that was going on in the world. Her home in aurius was encased in an icy tomb her neighbours were practically all dead, save a lucky handful, and she still hadn't quite come to grips with it all.

She sighed, pulling her thick looking maroon jumper absently into place as she stoppped for the moment to zone out into the watery distance. Her jumper stopped just above her kneees where afterwards a chocolate brown cordroy skirt flared out to just past the curve behind her knee. Her shoes were held along with a small bucket she had discovered along the way its once red colour more faded and whitening at the rim.

Having decided upon finding her little bucket that she might aswell fill it with any shells that she thought were nice or interesting - there was now glass of beautiful hues of grader blue and deep reds that had been found along the way smoothed into ovals from the sand - There were also shells of unsual shapes but all of them seemed to have a two tone sheen to them, twinkling slightly under the grey sky.

Tira was standing at the edge of the surf that carressed the shore her toes wiggling as the foam tickled her toes, she was watching her feet when she got a small vistor near them. The crab was no bigger than a few inches across, and had a rocky coloured shell that had a certain egg like look to it. Picking it up from the side she delighted in its confused leg waving popping it in her bucket for the moment to have a look at when she found something drier than the sand to sit on.

She had been walking for a small while when an outcropping of jagged rock creeped up on her, by the time she looked back inshore she was at the edge of them, noticing for the first time that there was someone else here. Not wanting to disturb the arden staring out to sea she looking in her bucket at the flailing crab.

Admittedly she felt a little guilty about its panic, and reached in to lift it up and placed it on the rock beside her which seemed to freeze the crab in place, it was suddenly quite content to sit beside her like a little pet. The guy who was a good couple of meters away seemed engrossed in his thoughts, and Tira looked out in the direction he was, looking to see if something different was seen across the horizon.

  3. Ha, sorry for the wait. xD

He munched idly at his granola bar, even though he wasn't all that hungry. He was eating mostly to keep himself busy, and he knew that if he didn't make himself eat he might go throughout the day without any food. Arol knew better than to starve himself, but eating was such a bother. He finished up the bar, a touch on the salty side, and shoved the wrapper into a pocket. At the end of any given day, his pockets were usually stuffed full of garbage and trinkets.

It was pure luck that he had turned just when a stranger appeared. The arden hadn't heard her approach at all, and he was visibly startled. Standing only a few feet away from him was a voluptuous young pendragon with cascading azure hair and sparkling eyes. Not that he noticed that. There, on the rock, was exactly what he had been looking for all morning. The crab was sitting out in the open, its legs clinging to a small rocky extrusion in the shape of an anthill. The Yki male leaned forward a little to get a better look. It was a little dirt-colored thing, and because it seemed to have only one head, he determined that it was a mature crab. He couldn't tell if it was a male or a female from where he was, he would have to look at the apron when he got closer. It seemed to be curious about its environment, swaying its antennae and moving its antennules to sense what was around it.

Arol reached out to snatch the crab, but it hurriedly scampered just out of his reach. It stopped once it was safe, and happily sat down again. Arol pulled his arm back and for the first time, noticed that he was not alone. The crab had scurried next to a much larger organism. A girl. She too was interesting to look at, but he wouldn't dare look her over as intently as he had the crab. She was grey and had aqua hair, that was all he needed to know. The male blushed a little, and tried to think of something to say. He had just been sitting there staring at a crab without even acknowledging her, she must really think he was weird at this point.

"Ah," The crab took another step closer to the thill. "I think it likes you." he said with a slight grin. Arol noticed the red bucket the girl was holding, and wondered if she had come here with the same intent he had. "Are you collecting these?" he asked, pointing at the tussler crab. For once the crustacean didn't treat him like an axe murderer, and stayed put.
