(( OOC: Anyone welcome to join! Sorry about any spelling errors...I'm too lazy to fix 'em all! Â )) Quarter: Tria Day: 15 Year: 81377 BIC: The desert was peaceful, with the sun slowly sinking and the day coming to an end. Â Silent creatures began venturing out of their dens and into the cool evening air. Â Finally the sun set and the animals were left with darkness only broken by the moon and stars. Â This was Aideen's favorite time of day. Â She could walk for hours through sand at night. Â Calmly she strolled, simply enjoying the quiet. Â After living in the acadamy for most her life, Aideen now appreciated peace and silence more than ever. Â She sighed as a small breeze picked up and played with her long blood red mane of hair. Â Sitting, Aideen began her faviorte game - playing with fire! Â She tossed ball after ball of flames into the air and laughed as they danced through the breeze. Â Nothing could be better than this she thought. Â Well, perhaps if I had some company, some one to laugh with. Â Yea, then it would be better. Â Aideen looked around, as if looking for another presence in the desert night. Â To her dissapointment no one else was around. Â Oh well, she thought, I have all night to sit here!
Araie soared above the desert. Her pale cream wings blocked the sun and created a shadow below her. She laughed in glee as the wind carried her along, she dipped and spun in the air with a youthful energy that belonged to someone many years her junior. Suddenly a tickling sensation was felt at the back of her mind. The elder female concentrated on it, emptying her mind of all thoughts and focusing on the sensation. A feeling of joy flooded Araie's mind but the joy was tainted with a feeling of loneliness. She focused on the ground below her and in the distance she saw a small form siluetted against the setting sun. Before it small dots of light danced before it. Ahhh what do we have here? A fellow fan of the elements? Araie soared towards the figure, still keeping her mind blank she focused solely upon the area in front of the figure. With a grin she began to twist and turn the slight breeze that carried the tiny flames. Slowly, for air was generally not a quickly moving or fierce element she grabbed the flames and lifted them up, stretching the fibers that created the very objects into a long stream. Soon she had a swirling pattern of flames going in front of the other pen dragon, who in essence was the creator of the work. She let the elemental energy ebb away and the void disappear from her mind as she flew over the figure, who she could now see was female and hadn't been a siluette at all, but was black as the sky on a new moon. Araie's shadow went over the female below and she circle around. Unsure of wether she should answer the empathic call of loneliness or wether she should just continue on.
Aideen was more than a little surprised when another pendragon flew, seeminly out of nowhere, and started to play with the flames she had tossed into the sky. Â She noticed that it was a fem, and older than she was. Â The femora was circling now, which troubled Aideen a bit. Â Should I say hi? Â I guess I should...but what if she's not friendly? Â I don't think I would win if we fought. Â Oh well, here it goes! "Excuse me! Â Hello there! Â I am Aideen, just a lonely wanderer. Â Is there anything I can do for you?"
Do for me? Huh, and here I thought I was going to do something for her. What an odd place to be sitting... What is she doing out here alone? Araie laughed, her light voice almost carried away by the breeze. "You needn't be afraid of me Aideen. I mean no harm. I was just out here enjoying the breeze when I saw you. You felt lonely so I decided to come by and try to cheer you up. Oh! But where are my manners!" The cream colour 'dragon swept down from the skies, her wings quickly backwinding as she touched down and settled into a sitting position. Her wings hung partially outstretched from her body in a very careless fashion. "Your quite talented in handling the elements. Especially for someone your age! Do you deal with anything other than fire? Personally I like air. I find it so much more soothing, especially on these old bones of mine!" She laughed twirling in a half circle, her pale purple eyes shining with laughter and a child-like innocents that was so often misunderstood by others. When Araie turned around again she was still grinning. She looked at the younger female who sat, a slightly baffled expression upon her face, and waited for a reply... of some kind.
She grinned at the older female. I was lonely...? Aideen shook her head slightly while the other 'dragon spoke. I was thinking to loud again! Oh well. "Fire is pretty much my element. I can do minor things with the others, but nothing big...uh, um, I didn't seem to catch your name, sorry." She then noticed that her balls of flame were still drifting through the air - but were getting close to a small shrub close by. With a thought from their creator the flames were gone, just like Aideen's loneliness.
OOC: I have no idea where I'm going with this. ^-^ Do you? IC: Araie grinned and the other female's polite responce. "Ah yes, well just keep practicing m'dear. They really arn't all that dfferent. The elements I mean. Same basic foundation, just different type of feeling to them." She sat down. "But before things get to out of hand I'm Araie. I was on my way home. Been out exploring for a while now, figured it was time to rest for a bit. What are you doing out here? Pwa Desert is a long way to come to play with the elements. Just exploring or where you trying to get somewhere?" She cocked her head to the side in speculation. As the sun sank so did the temperature. The Pwa Desert was known for its freezing temperatures at night and Araie hoped Aideen wasn't planning on staying the night out here. A wanderer she may be but 'roughing it' was not something she enjoyed after growing up in a warm, comfortable house.
(( OOC: Nope, I dunno where this is going >< Â I guess I just wanted to get Aideen in the RP when I started it...hmm. Â )) BIC: "Nice to meet you Araie!" She paused to move a stray strand of hair out of her eyes. Â "I just got out of the acadamy and am now just wandering. Â I guess I could go home, but I'm still not sure where that it..." Her eyes clouded as her sentence trailed off. Â Home was a sad word for Aideen; she never knew what it meant.
Araie was shocked. The "lost" feel was just rolling off Aideen in waves. For a few minutes the sheer volume of it totally overwealmed the pale females mind. She reeled, and forced her mind to send out calming... auroras. Or whatever it was they were calling active empathy these days. "You dont know where home is? Your an orphan?" The young energy faded away, leaving behind a pendragon who acted almost mature... but still had the same characteristic childlike innocents.
It took Aideen a moment to realize that the other 'dragon had spoken. "Hmm? Orphan? Yea, I suppose I am. I don't know who my real mother and father are, so yes, I am an orphan." Here she paused, with her eyes closed, to collect herself and her feelings. "Before I went to the acadamy I lived with another family...I don't know where they are now. I'm doing fine on my own." Silently she added that life at the acadamy wasn't that far back. She had only been "on her own" for 9 days. Now the air was getting colder, as desert air does, and Aideen through a warming spell over herself. With a moments thought she cast her spell over her new friend as well.
OOC: Sorry for any major spelling mistake sor typos. I generally use spellcheck but I'm to tired tonight. IC: Araie startled as the chill that had begun to set in abruptly dissapeared. Instead a warm 'blanket' settled over her. She shook herself slightly, ruffeling up the fur so the warmed air could get underneath it. Well, that takes care of that problem. "Well thats not a tough problem to solve! Do you remember what the names of your family were and were you on Swaraj before you went to the academy? We can go search for them! Keep each other company and so on. Maybe I can even teach you how to use some of the other elements. Wouldn't mind learning that warming trick either. Is that done with fire or a non elemental spell?" The older femme was back into her normal and slightly hyperactive state and quite excited over the prospect of a new adventure. What nagged at the back of her mind however was how young Aideen was. There was no way she had been out of the academy for long, yet she didn't seem at all uncomforable on her own in the wild either.
A huge smile graced Aideens face. "Really? You'll help me look for them? If only I could remember their last name...Kar...Kir...no. Um..." She sat for a moment thinking. After her third year at the acadamy she lost contact with them, and never heard from them again. Suddenly she jumped up. "I got it! Kirpase! Last I heard they were on Boreios Sudesha" Aideen sat down again, obviously pleased that she remembered such a thing. "The warming spell simply takes the flames and burning proporties out of fire. So, I guess you could say that we're in a fire right now."
Araie grinned. "Of coarse I'll help you find them! We have a name and a starting place all we need now is a way to get there. You dont have wings so I guess we're walking. Shall we begin now or just wait for tomorrow? She mused over the taking the burn out of fire. It was a very intriguing concept and Araie decided she would have to give the idea a try with the other elements. I could take a bath without getting wet! She grinned at the thought, water not being one of her most favorite elements.
"Why don't we start in the morning. Â I'm getting kinda tired myself. Â What do you think?" While waiting for a reply she began looking around for a place to sleep. Â It seemed that such a place wasn't very common in the desert. Â I suppose we could just sleep here...hmm. Â Perhaps that wouldn't be a good idea. Â I probably wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, I'm too excited already. Â She inwardly frowned at herself. Â Huh, getting excited at something that probably won't end on a good note. Â That's just like me. Â Oh well.
"In the morning? Sounds good to me." Araie paused and looked around the flat expance of sand. The almost set sun turning the sand form its usual pale yellow to a deeper orange-red. She smiled, amused at their predicament. "Its nice to be warm and all but I'd really prefer not to sleep in the middle of nowhere. I think there was an oasis or something a-ways back, or we could try and reach the woods that line the edge of the Pwa. Either way might be a bit of a hike, but there doesn't seem to be much around here."
Why don't we head to the oasis? Lead the way Araie!" OOC: Wow, I'm really tired...I can't think of anything else! Sorry!
OOC: Errr I dont have time to write a decent post cause I'm heading up north... now... and I'll be gone up to a week with about a 2% chance of getting to a computer. I'll reply when I get back k? Just wait for me.....
