Thela sat on the dock, her skin tingling from the mid afternoon sun. She rapped her fingers against the wood of the dock, listening to the steady beat. She watched the fish nibble at her toes. Her wings were folded against her back idly, as she looked at the water; it seemed to calm her, as all the elements did, fire was even on her list. Though she never used it often, and almost always had the right side of her face covered. Like today, she chewed on the end of one of her fingers, as she looked out at the ocean, and sighed, nothing could mess today up.

She looked up at the sky and stood, as she opened her wings, ready to fly, she flapped her wings, as she rose into the sky, she looked down, there were some ardens, and thills, of all ages below her on a ship, she didn't want them, she wanted someone else, another on the land, someone, fresher. Someone younger, she desired the blood, of a younger member of society.

She perched herself in a tree, still near the docks, and focused her eyes on the surrounding area. She saw a young arden, but he wasn't what she wanted, not fresh enough. She wanted a teenager, almost twenty, but not twenty.

  2. Toby was currently heading towards the port. Not for any reason, but the water kind of soothed him. It was a great place to sit and write music, which was exactly why he was heading that way. Electric blue eyes scanned the area, and when they landed on the dock, he saw a female just standing there. Toby wasn't in the mood for talking, not even to a female, he just wanted some peace so he could write his music. Toby stood, waiting, and as she began to fly off, he took it as an opportunity, walking out to the end of the dock, he sat down with a pencil and paper, beginning to write down some ideas.

It was then that he felt something on nibbling on his toes. Looking down he saw that the fish had gathered and were testing him out. Toby began to scoot back, taking his feet out of the water so he could write in peace. It was a beautiful day, and it provided him plenty of writing muse. Sighing, he took his pencil and began writing a song. He began to write a song about words. It was rather odd, but kind of nice as well. He had only gotten the first part down when he heard wings above him. Looking up, he watched as the dragon flew towards a tree, and when she pearched, he disregarded her and continued writing.

The song was beginning to form itself, but he couldn't help but shake the feeling of being watched, and he stuck the paper and pencil back in his bag, thinking of heading out, something wasn't right about that dragon, and it was really starting to get to him. So he stood, beginning to get up and walk away, hoping that she would remain in the tree.

  3. Then Toby caught Thela's eye, ah yes, a fine meal that would make her. As he stood, she felt a bit sad, that he didn't want to die today. So she quietly flew out of the tree and ran over to him, and acting like she always did, she started with one of her oldest tricks, '<span style='color:grey'> Excuse me, do you have the time? </span>" she looked at him innocently, attempting to lure him into a false sense of security. She made sure the right side of her head was pointing away from him when she asked. Because the burnt off part of head, was the Thela Silversword vampire trademark.

She watched the birds above with caution, they always gave wind of danger coming, and if they did, she'd roast them, in case Toby noticed how the birds were acting. She smiled calmly, when she saw the birds were idle, and looked back to Toby, "<span style='color:grey'> By the way, I'm Thela. </span>" she said, knowing that making up a fake name never worked for her.

  4. Toby was trying to get away quickly, the way that the dragon was looking at him was really starting to creep him out. Usually he'd be fine chatting with a girl, but this was like playing with death right here. Something about her was just not right. Toby felt chills running down his spine when he realized she was coming to stop him. Great, she had wings, he'd never be able to get away from her if she didn't want him to. At her question, he stopped, smiling to show he wasn't at all startled, though on the inside he was shaking. It probably wasn't a good idea to show her he felt uneasy, so he just spoke in a calm voice, his electric blue eyes twinkling as he spoke.

"Yea I've got the time, but I think I'm going to go spend it somewhere else. Feeling sort of tired, think I'll go take a nap. Maybe some other time..."

Toby saw her eyes drift to the skies, and he couldn't help but glance up, seeing the birds floating above, an eerie sense of danger seemed to be what they were warning him about, and he noticed the look of concern on the female's face. When she offered him her name, he gave a charming smile and replied. "Nice to meet you, I'm Toby." He was trying to act calm like he didn't feel at all uneasy around her, but on the inside, his stomach was churning. He had heard of canibalism among pendragons, and he was starting to think that she was one of these.

Toby would have walked away, though she was blocking his path off the dock. Biting his lip, he tapped his foot in impatience, praying that she would just let him go on his way. He decided his best bet was just to sit here and play along with her little games until she let him go. But what would he do if she tried anything? His heart was racing, though his expression showed the opposite. Just let me go...please. This was the only thought on his mind.

  5. Shadow had been idly lazing about in the water, just feeling the peace and serenity of the sea flow through her, listening to the harsh song of the seagulls. Noticing the odd, stalking behavior of the female, and the annoyed behavior of the male, she became increasingly interested. Noticing that he was in desperate need of a quick escape, she decided that she would be happy to provide one. Shadow dove under the water and, just as quickly, came shooting back up like a bullet, her black furred body glistening with water, sparkling like diamonds in the sun, scattering the flocking birds overhead. At the last moment, Shadow snapped open her black, feathery wings, spraying the two of them with warm sea water. Gracefully landing on the dock she quickly put on her best worried face and started, "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I didn't see you. Did I interrupt something? Please, forgive me. By the way, I'm Shadow."

  6. Kids were idiots these days. "<span style='color:grey'>Normally when someone asks you if you have the time and you don't even know them, they want to know what time it is.</span>" she snapped at Toby, half tempted to kill him here. Well, until the other 'dragon showed up. Thela then glared at Shadow, and muttered something, picking Shadow up with the water and placing her on the dock, and glaring her in the eye before whispering in her ear, "<span style='color:grey'> Do not bother my hunt if you wish to keep your legs.</span>" Her eyes showing sheer hatred.

She looked back at Toby, and confident of herself, she decided to go out and say it, "<span style='color:grey'> It is common for my prey to be uneasy, considering most know blood is my one and only love as food, and since, that is the case, many fear vampires.</span>" it wasn't full out, but she was giving away her identity, as one of the most dangerous, hotheaded, tempermental, half faceless, evil, vampires.

She smirked and continued, "<span style='color:grey'> Who wants to be my next meal?</span>"

  7. Shadow landed roughly on the ground, with an evil looking 'dragon staring down at her saying, " Do not bother my hunt if you wish to keep your legs." Hmph. The indignity of it all! Being tossed around like that. "Hunt, eh? And, since when are 'dragons in season?" Hearing that this woman was none other than a vampire didn't scare Shadow. After all, you can't be scared if you want to be an adventurer. "Hey, missy, I think you oughta look elsewhere for a meal. You can't have this one." Mind speaking to the male, she said, 'Now, how do you expect to get yourself out of this one?'

  8. The teenager laughed at her words. He had known what she meant, but Toby was a sarcastic ass and then had been a good time to use the ability. As he listened to her harsh words, he rolled his eyes. Okay, he had been scared, but now he was just annoyed. Fuck her, if she wanted a piece of him, he was going to go down with a fight. His eyes burned hatred as he stared at her, and with a smirk on his face, he replied with a hint of sarcasm.

"Well, since you're giving us a choice. I don't want to be your meal, and neither does she. So why don't you be on your way, Dracula, unless you want a whole different piece of me."

He spoke, waving his fist at her. Toby was a great fighter, and he wasn't afraid to show it. He caught mind waves from the female named Shadow, and his eyes flashed for a moment as he replied. "Just going with the flow, she can take her chances with me, I'm not going down without a fight." With that, he winked at Shadow, figuring that if he made it out of here, maybe they could get close with eachother. Laughing at the thought, his eyes burned into the vampire, not truly caring what was about to happen. Toby was not going to let her get him. If anything, he'd just...well...uhh...he wasn't certain, but he would fight her off if neccessary. Toby would do anything in his power to keep himself from letting his blood enter her mouth. No matter what.

  9. "Your not the only fighter here." She replied to him. "Now listen, she-witch. There are two of us and only one of you. Are you sure you wanna take your chances? And, in public?" Shadow looked around the port and noticed people were staring and a few others were starting to gather around. Maybe we can use this as a diversion and get out of here. But, Shadow was secretly hoping this wouldn't end peacefully. She'd been itching for a fight lately anyway.
