K'uei flung open the door to his dormatory with a loud slam. Brown eyes narrowed in irratance at the day he had and his tail flicked in mild frustration. The flame burned a white hot ivory blue and it danced quickly, frustrated. Walking over to his bed, he took swung his black backpack off his shoulder and set it on the unmade bed. So far this year, he hadn't had a roommate so he COULD keep his room in this state if he pleased. Bladed silver bangs fluttered over his eyes again and he swiped them away angerly. A low growl emitted from deep within his chest and he walked over to the semi-large boombox that was positioned on his dresser. Placing a hand on it, he traced the outline of it while searching through his cd. Finding something suitable, he put it in and turned it on loudly. Not too loudly for he would get yelled at or kicked out. K'uei calmed down as the soft music of a guitar echoed off the walls. His tail flame no longer burned with an angery dance but flowed as the color of the sky in fall. Walking over to the deep set chair that was centered infront of the tv, K'uei sat in it thankfully and kicked off his shoes. With a heavy sigh, he closed his dual mochas and a small smile traced across his maw. The young males mind began to wander as he turned and stared out the window into the fall sunshine. So far, this year at the acadamy was not proving to be to his liking. He had already gotten in several fights with other students. Got shunned by his girlfriend and was begining to fail his classes. A scarred paw came up and K'uei began to massage his face. He needed to shape up. There really was no reason for this behavior. Last year, he was really a wonderfull student. K'uei sighed. What had happened over the summer? The sounds of bass thudded in his ears and K'uei rose from the chair with a growl. Walking over to the window, he looked down 'pon a crowd of students listening to their music wayy too loud and just hanging out. Another sigh was given. Sometimes other 'dragons could be so inconsiderate. K'uei then decided on taking a walk through the halls of the dorms. It might get his mind off things. He walked over to his closet and grabbed a black hoodie and tugged it over his head. Sliding his feet into some sandles, K'uei walked out the door and down the hall of the dorm.
Another that seems to have been having a bad day strolls in through the front of the dorm area. Carrying a white bag with herself as she wandered into the building shaking her head slowly. Sighs heavily and places her paw on the bag pulling it up against her shoulder more, so nots to fall off. Qamu continued on her way through the dorm hall looking towards the floor as if it was leading her to someplace of solitude, someplace to be free. But such an idea like that was out of the question because ever since her mother dumped her here it has been nothing but total hell. All the teachers think that they know what the hell they was doing. Other students care nothing to help you, only to make your life worse then what it was already. These thoughs continued through her head as she continued to walk down the towards the dormroom that she was told to move into at the front desk. Reaches into her jacket pocket once more and draws the piece of paper that had little writing on it. Some room with this person named K'uei...Shook her head once more as she looked to the paper not paying attention to where she was walking.
Finally deciding that walking through the loud halls of the dorms wasn't going to ease his mind, K'uei grumbed and shoved his hands into the front pocket. Twin mocha's looked around at the large hall he had found himself in and realized this was the hall for the younger students who stayed at the academy. A small crowd ran by him giggling loudly. One screamed and ran ahead of the others, the rest following quickly. Shaking his midnight blue head, he strolled up the stairs to his dorm. K'uei walked down the hall at somewhat of a brisk pace, staring at the ground. He didn't notice the other 'dragon who was walking towards him, looking at a peice of paper. K'uei collided with her and was thrown off balance. He stumbed a bit before regaining his footing and looking at the female 'dragon with a worried expression. Damnit, stupid me! Hope she's ok. K'uei reached out a hand to her. The other was placed 'pon his forehead in an embaressed way. His bladed silver bangs falling in his face as he stared at the ground below his feet. I'm so sorry miss, I didn't see you. I should have been watching where I was going.
Upon getting knocked down, Qamu looked up at the dragon that did it and hissed a bit in distrubants. Shakes her head a bit then takes hold of his hand slowly then is pulled up from the ground with his strength. "No...I think it was entirely my doing. I wasn't look to where I was going...", the words she spoke rolled softly off her tongue as she drew back her hand. Reaches her forepaw up and wipes back her greyish-blue hair from her eyes then looks down away from the male once more. Continues to walk down the hall. The piece of paper in her hand she just releases it and continues on her way without looking back again. That was very graceful of you Quma, why not just walk all over the next one you come across. Sighs and ruffs the wings against her backside a bit release a small brown feather that gently lies against the floor.
K'uei shook his dark blue crania and waved a paw. A smile flickered across his maw and he straightened out the front of his sweatshirt absentmindedly. He spoke to her in a calm and collective manner. Yes, but what done is done. No need to dwell on the past. A curt nod was given as she took her leave and walked down the hall. A flash of brown caught his eyes and he walked over to the fallen feather. K'uei knealt down and picked it up cautiously in his large paw. He held it gently as if holding an easliy breakable object. Running a finger over it, K'uei admired the softness of it. He suddenly imagined himself soaring over the rolling hills of the land and gazing down at the wonderous beauty below him. Looking up again, K'uei saw that the female 'dragon was farther down the hall. If he could recall correctly, it seemed that she was looking for something. Most likely her dorm. She does look somewhat lost... Without another thought K'uei dashed down the hall, sandles slapping against the carpet. He skidded to a stop next to her and spoke in a friendly, helping manner. Would you be, by chance, looking for your room? If so, I'd be glad to help you. I know this place top to bottom. He then took a paw out of his front pocket and held it out to her once more. Twin mocha's glittered warmly and bladed silver hair fell over his eyes. With a snort he blew them back and grinned, embarrased. Heh, sorry about that. My name is K'uei. And if I be as so bold to ask, what might yours be?
She comes to a stop at the sound of sandles slapping against the floor then looks over shoulder at the 'dragon as he pads up beside her. Looks at him strangely then away from him. After he offered her his help she was about to turn it down until he presanted his name to her. She glares slightly as a weird sense of kindness befalls her. "Well, all I need you to do it show me the way to your dorm." She continues to stare at him then lowers her eyes away from his gaze. Places her paws into her pant pockets and waves her tail a bit. She goes to give him her name. "Qamu...", continues to look down. "I'm your new roommate."
Tail flicked idoly as a large smile crept 'pon the 'dragon's maw. Icen'd flame was alight with a welcoming warmth as he nodded to Quamu. Well then if thats the case, my, I mean our room, is right down the hall. Here, I'll show you. K'uei began his trek down the hallway once more, sandles slapping against the ground. Seemingly unknown to Quamu, the brown feather was still tucked away in the front sleeve of his black sweatshirt. The midnight blue fur shimmered as he passed a window, sunlight glimmering on the silver tips of his pelt. Glancing back he made sure she was following before taking out his key and opened the door to his rather large and nicely kept room. A few clothes were scattered here and there but the other side of the room where the Quamu was going to live was neat and tidy. Nonetheless, K'uei scratched the back of his head in embarrasment. Sorry about the slight mess. He noticed a pair of plad boxers and he kicked those under the bed, a blush creeping on his face.
Qamu followed after him down the hall to her new living space and watched K'uei mess about with the key before getting it into the door. Once he does the door comes open and she follows the male into the room. Looks up from the wooden floor to the large living space that she was offered. Smirked at the sight of the place and looked over at her bed and other stuff on the side of the room. A matress all rolled up, showing the underside of the bed, a desk with an old lamp on it, a book shelf empty as can be. She nodded being pleased about what she saw. "This is very nice...very nice indeed." Looks over at the male and gave him a little smirk before reaching into her leather jacket and draws a small silver capsule then presses a switch on top of it. Tosses the capsule on the floor and it explodes in a puff of smoke. As the smoke cleared you see boxes and a few other things sitting on the floor beside Qamu. "Well, I guess we are roommates now huh?" She looked to him as she spoke the few words.
K'uei watched as Quamu walked over to her side of the room. Sure, It wasn't much but what can you expect? Luxury? Turning away from his fellow roommate, K'uei kicked off the sandles which crashed into his closet. A box of books fell off of the shelves and landed in a large, unsorted pile on the floor. A low grumble came from the male and he then turned his attention back to Quamu as she spoke. Yeah, I guess we are. It's nice to finally have someone to talk to. As he finished, he was amazed to see the large piles of boxes suddenly there in the room. Walking over to her, he motioned to the boxes, somewhat dumbfounded. He had never seen such a feat of appearance. How could all of that fit into a capsule? K'uei shrugged it off in his mind and smiled. Would you like any help Quamu?
Qamu shudders a bit as she hears her name spoke wrong, looks over her shoulder at him and glares a bit then begins to go through her stuffs. Shakes his head slowly and licks her lips a bit as the first box comes open. "The name is Q-A-M-U! And you better start saying it right...", smirks and draws a black bedsheet from the box. Walks over to the bed then pulls the matress out and places the sheet on it. Removes a pillow and blanket. Finishes putting the bed together then sits down on it slowly, letting out a light sigh. "Good to have a bed of my own again." Reaches her paw up and rubs her face a bit. "And no...I need no help with my stuff, so go about your own stuff."
K'uei nodded at her request. Scratching the back of his head again, he chuckled. Bladed silvern bangs fell infront of his chocolate eyes once more and he ignored it. Tail flicked as he wandered over to his side of the room. Bending down, he picked up all his clothes and placed them in the laundry basket. I should make my side a little cleaner from now on since there is a lady here. He smiled and proceeded to pick up the garbage that he had strewn around his room. I'm sorry Qamu, I'm just not that good with names. After throwing away the garbage he had picked up, K'uei flopped down onto his bed and put his hands behind his head, staring up at the ceiling. One leg hung off the bed and he swung it absentmindedly. The noise of the crowd below his window had long since passed and he sighed thankfully.
Qamu shakes her head a bit as she goes through her boxes slowly looking at the stuff that she packed. Glares slightly and draws a book labeled "Singer of the Black Arts", then sits it on the bed beside herself. Continues to go through her stuff then gets up and starts to pull stuff away in places where they go. Places books in order from, light to dark coloured ones then goes to her section of the closet and hangs up all her clothes and throws a basket in beneath them all as they hang. Removes a black chinese symbol from her neck then places it on the desk that was provided for her then reaches into the box and draws a picture. Looks at the picture then drags her claws along it and sets it on the desk along side the symbol. Reaches her paws up then removes the jacket from about her shoulders and places it on the back of her desk chair then drops a few notebooks and a PDA on top of them. "Well, that looks about like everything that I have here to setup." She spoke softly to herself then walked back over to the boxes on the floor, breaks them down to where they are flat and slides them up beneath the bed. But before she sits down she reaches down and takes up a long/small black case then sets down on the bed with it on her lap. Reaches her paws ontop of it then unlatches the locks on it. Draws a silver flute and places it to her lips. Closes her eyes and begins to play a soft and beautiful tune that causes feeling of comfort awaken within anyone that listens to it.
OOC: I'm soo sorry. I didn't know you replyed. Bad me! -smacks self- K'uei yawned and turned to look outside. The clouds rolled by in an endless dream of ever twisting shapes and sizes. A few birds flew by, catching the wind and soaring higher. Twin mocha's followed their path until they were out of sight. K'uei suddenly wished he could be along with them, soaring through the clouds. Auds perked as he listened to the lovely song of nature. The young male had always been into nature and always longed to be with it. Walls had never been good to him. He felt it in the back of his mind, some sort of lost memory that was best meant forgotten. Upon hearing the Qamu's voice, he sat up and looked across the room. He felt embarassed at his stately mess that occupied his side of the room as he look at her organized side. K'uei smiled and watched as she pulled out the flute. He brought his leg up and sat crossed legged on the bed. The soft tones was soothing to his ears and he smiled dreamily. Not wanting to interupted the beautiful sound, K'uei sat silently. A small audiance to one who deserved a stadium...
Qamu opens her eyes suddenly and looked to K'uei as he listened to her play. She stopped and placed the flute against her lap looking at him. "Does this music...bother you...?" She asked in a mellow voice just staring at him. Moves back from the edge of the bed then leaned back against the wall, waiting for him to come back to the real worldand answer her question about the music. Slowly Qamu's eyes drift over the male's body slowly tilt she came to the small feather he held in his hand. Grinned slightly and looked back to him. Why would anyone want to have my feather...? I mean...its just a feather, right? Shakes her head for a moment then lifted the flute back to her lips once more and begins to play the melody once more.
K'uei was suddenly brought out of the soft, dream state that he had resided in. Mocha colored orbs glimmered back at Qamu as she set the flute down on her lap and stared at him. His silvern bladed bangs fell over his eyes again and he ignored it. He ran his hand o'er the feather in his hand out of recently formed habit. Upon hearing her voice, he looked up as if suddenly awoken from a sleep. Shaking his head, he smiled at her. No, not at all. Acually it's quite lovely in contrast to the racket the other students play. K'uei noticed that she stared at him for a moment before shaking her head and continued to play that wonderfull melody. His prehensile tail lay behind him on the bed and the flame upon the end of it flickered a soothing blue color. Outside of the dorm came the loud footsteps of other 'dragons. They talked loudly and in a boisterus tone. K'uei's eyes widened as he realized it was the group who had given him trouble the other day. Standing up quickly, K'uei walked over to the door and locked the door to make sure the group couldn't get in. He cringed and glanced back to Qamu. Ok, so maybe I should rephrase that. They could get in if they wanted to bad enough...
Qamu stopped playing then lifted her eyes up from the flute then looks over towards the door as she watches K'uei lock it. The sudden rush of foot steps and voices came from the hall then Qamu glared a bit. Takes her flute in hand then placed it back into the wooden case and slided it under the bed. Rose up from sitting and walked over to K'uei as he stood infront of the door. "What is going on, K'uei?" Qamu whispered as she walked up along side him then places a paw on his shoulder. Feeling that he was all tensed up for some reason. She then turned her eyes back to the door then glared as she watched the doorknob turn and pounding occured on the other side of it. "Who is it?" She asked slowly taking a step back away from the door. Reaches her bedside then reaches over at the foot of it taking hold of a long staff. Draws it up and places it behide her back waiting to use it if had to.
K'uei began to tremble as the loud knocking from behind the door got louder and louder. The voices shouted taunting remarks from the hallway. Twin mochas glittered with fear as he heard a crack come from the door, tail flame alight with a burning yellow fire. Glancing back to Qamu, he watched as she pulled out the long metal staff. The then snapped out of his fearfull state and shook his head at her. No! Please don't get involved. I don't want you getting hurt, this is my problem. K'uei placed his back against the door. The pounding rung through his backbone and made his teeth chatter. Snarling, he shouted back angerly. Leave me alone!
After a few moments of pounding it came to a sudden stop. Then sounds of 'dragons roaring and yelping out in the hall begin to happen along with crashes and smashes. Qamu stared at him and the door as this all when on and her eyes when a dead cold colour. Then a sudden silents falls upon the door and out in the hall. Qamu comes back into mind as a gentle knock comes to the door then the sound of a male's voice. "Hello, is everyone okay in there? Do you need any help?" The voice was quite and non-threatening. Qamu jaw dropped open then she released the metal rod from her hand causing it to come to the floor with a ding. Qamu set down on the bed then continued to stare at the door. "K'uei...open the door...is sounds as if everything is stopped or something...", she just stared wondering what happened out there.
As the yelping and shouts echoed through K'uei's ear, he had the sudden urge to see who or...what for that matter had come to their aid. Beads of cold sweat trickled down the male's forehead and he placed his head against the door for a moment. Suddenly feeling the eyes of Qamu upon him again, he turned and jumped slightly at the sight of her cold dead eyes. Scrunching his eyes in a confused manner, K'uei stared at her. What the... Â He was violently tugged back to reality as the quiet knocking sounded at his door. Crania quickly swung back to it and K'uei stared at it, unsure to open it. He listened to Qamu's request and placed a shaking paw upon the doornob. Turning it slowly, he peeked out of the little crack he had made. Seeing his offenders on the ground, K'uei sighed in relife and opened the door to let the other 'dragon inside. Smiling, K'uei nodded to him. Thank you sir, I don't think we could have handled them on our own...wait! How did you do that? You took all of them down by yourself!? He had let his mouth fall open in the process of speaking these words and he stared at the male.
The sharp dressed teacher comes into the room slowly and flexes back bone wings against his back causing them to pop and crack. He reaches his hand up and brushes back ash coloured hair from his eyes then removes his shades from his eyes. "No reason for students of mine to get a whipping for some stupid reason." Walks up to Qamu and places his hand against the side of her neck as she stands then she leans her head against his chest and he places his arm about her hugging her. "Also...I can't let anything happen to my youngest daugther...", turns his attention to K'uei, his eyes change from a set of red glowing eyes to a set of light blue ones. Smiles at him then extends his hand out to the male. "I'm Mr. Sieben Wulf, it is good to meet you, K'uei."
