  1. ya... I just remembered that I had some friends here and I really want to get back to writing in RPs.

I've been gone for several months, battling addiction, going to work, and trying hard to get a portfolio done for college.

In those months, I did get some work done. Though I drew little, I did write a TON, and even managed to get a book to a publisher. No, not even I think it could get through, but if it doesn't, I could just sell locally and be self-published.

I hope to get back to this place and have an opportunity to draw and RP a bit more and avoid playing WoW... until the new expansion comes out...

  2. Welcome back! It's always fun when old faces show up. :)

I just get so bored when playing WoW. I don't quite get the appeal of it anymore. It feels more like work than play to me I suppose. I canceled my account several months ago. :s

Looking forward to seeing you post again!

  3. I forget who made the joke; "I stopped playing WoW When I realized it was a part time job I was paying to do." xD

Oooo, what did you write a novel about?

    And of course, welcome back!

  4. *flounce* You're back! Welcome back! *flounce*

Good. Can I drag you into a thread?

  5. nice to hear some have given up on the wow addiction thing I am still playing but it so feels like I do too much of it like work I guess not that I know much about how work feels like as I have only just now become casually employed and am very tired *laughs*
I sent my first children's story to most of the publishers in aus and have been rejected thus far with one publisher taking 10months from my posting the manuscript to replying with a standard NO we don't want it try some one else letter. I might do the same and self publish just to have 2 books to sell at the stalls and small shops that will take them. the major sellers of books did not want my poetry book in their shelves. *sigh* for being not knowen.
However I am still writting and still trying publishers thinking about America and England now...

Good Luck with your own writting and I hope it is faster for you than it was for me to get a response.

~Sorry about my spelling big day at work and all~

  6. @ Shriker: Ya, getting a raid together is still a chore, but at least they released Arthas as a raid boss. I'm trying hard to limit my play time.

@ Lautir: It's very expencive. I wrote a horror/occult/fantasy novel about werewolves. No, not those sissy Twilight werewolves, and there are no vampires (Sparkly or not) at all in it. Lots of gore, some scenes or questionable taste, but otherwise good if you're into plot that starts dull and gets into a darker groove. It's sorta like the Cirque du Freak novels by Darren Shan, but about werewolves instead of non-sparkly-but-still-sissy vampires.

@ Phylus: PLEASE, I need to get back to this.

@ Silverdragon: I sent to three publishers and was quickly denied by one in less than a month (those Scholastic bastards) for being non-educational and too violent and went as far as to write a paragraph about how it was setting a bad impression on the teenage age group I was targeting. Still no word from Doubleday or Bloomsbury, but my chances look thin.

    @ everyone: WOOT!

  7. Welcome back. I myself still play WoW occasionally, but never got the addiction draw. I need to get active here too, actually. :)

  8. wlcome back i got the WoW bug something bad.....only just now managed to pull myself away for a bit
