This is continued from http://shadowlack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5069&st=0this topic.
    Character: Xhankis Ludosmian
    Date: 24° Dyo, 81380
Setting: Dorm room 4016, about 5:35PM.
Warnings: There are drugs and alcohol, kitties! =O

Xhankis fumbled with his keys a bit before finding the correct one and twisting it into the lock. He sniffed, already smelling the fumes of the freshly baked apple pie coming through the door. Barging in, he threw his keys on a small table that was shoved in the corner next to the door. The room was a complete mess - as usual. What could he say? He lacked interest in all forms of cleaning, except for the hygienic type. Otherwise, he could care less. "Eryeah, this is my place. Just your average dorm, cept a bit messier, heh." It was plain, except for the few rock band posters on the wall, and the inevitable pigsty. He spotted a pair of dirty boxers laying about, and he picked them up hastily, cheeks slightly flushed underneath his fur. Really - he couldÂ’ve thought to pick up the place at least a bit before heÂ’d had company. Shoving them in the nearest drawer he could reach, he turned back to Squeal. "The pieÂ’s in the kitchenÂ…" he told her, gesturing towards the doorless archway on the other side of the room.

  2. Squeal peered into the room, keeping her feet outside the door and leeeeaning in, poking her nose about and sniffing curiously. She could certainly smell apple pie - among other things - and after determining the room to be safe enough to enter, she slowly stepped through the threshhold of the door. From that point on it was back to her old self again. She ran into the kitchen, gingerly sliding the pie off to the side before slamming her flight case down on the table. She left it locked, then ran off into the living room. She glanced around it fervently, taking it all in, then ran to the bedroom which she also inspected by means of running in circles and jumping on the bed.

    Seems lyk'a nice anuff room I th'nk. I lyk's th'mess! Suit m'fine! And th'bed is c'mfy fer m'feet and th'carpet's nice and 't smells l'k apple pie! ...D'you have 'pple pie?

  3. Xhankis chuckled, following her into the bedroom. "Aw, well, thanks. Yes, follow me." Then he strode across the living room once again, through the door, and sat down at the table, before getting up a few seconds later to get a knife to cut the pie with. He cut it into eighths quite sloppily, and then set two plates out on the table before heaving a piece onto each one. He shoved one plate to Squeal and then picked his own piece up with his hand, grinning and taking in itÂ’s mouthwatering scent once more before eating it plainly like a piece of deep-dish pizza. It spilled out from the sides a bitÂ… as to be expected when eaten this way, but he could give a rapine's arse, for it fell almost neatly onto the plate beneath it.

  4. Eyeing her pie hungrily, Squeal grinned an evil, evil grin. She felt around for utensils, looking for at least a fork, but finding none. She thought for a moment about being, say, ladylike or refined, but quickly gave up and lifted the plate to her muzzle. She sniffed cautiously at the pie, inhaling the delicious scent of apples with a hint of cinnamon. She paused, savoring the scent and flavor of the pie in her nostrils before stuffing the plate against her muzzle, licking, slurping and chewing her way quickly through her slice of pie in a matter of thirty seconds or so. Wiping her mouth with the back of her paw, she licked her lips, trademark toothy grin once again splashing across her face.

Mmf! Pie's 'allicious! Blo'y g'd time - an' I go' jes t'thin' t'go wi' it! With that she hopped out of her seat, bounding around the kitchen to her instrument flight case. She dialed in a number on the locks, then flicked the little switches on them and opened up the case. Inside were well over a dozen and a half large glass and plastic bottles of clear and amber colored liquids, along with several other indescribable substances and a few small pouches of the plant she had introduced earlier. Tail wagging, she pulled out two of those cheap, red, large picnic cups and slammed them down on the table. Eh? EH?

  5. He acted as if her eating habits were nothing but the norm as she finished off her piece. “Thanks - mother’s recipe.“ Soon she pulled out her stash - he knew there was something with that instrument case! Xhankis observed the many bottles and bags with indecision and even a fearful look. Great Jaitl, she’s got it all and more! Soon a feverish grin spread across his lips. "…Let’s do it. But only a bit," he added the last bit in quietly, sounding craven. You know this isn’t right, the voice in his head nagged at him. But there’s no stopping me now. he replied with a particularly evil grin. He got up, licking the chunks of cinnamon apple that’d fallen out before off of his plate, before grabbing her plate, too, and setting them both in the sink. He returned to his seat, palms sweatier than before.

  6. She smirked. This was where she excelled. She had a talent for mixing up some of the most vicious, brutal drinks possible and tonight would be no exception. She turned her back to Xhankis, setting his cup down on the countertop. She gathered up three big bottles and one significantly smaller brown bottle with an eyedropper on top then spun back around. After mixing two clear liquids and a particularly citrus-scented blue liquid together in the glass, she dropped three or four drops of the mysterious liquid in the small brown glass bottle, which she managed to conceal quite well by dropping it in her own pocket. The liquid was a strong psychedlic, an experimental drug known for inducing realistic hallucinations, significantly hindering judgement and a strong tingling sensation throughout the entire body (accompanied by a tinny, continuous ringing in the ears.)

The concoction smelled disgusting, almost similar to a citrus cleaning product, and fizzed wickedly, bubbling furiously up from the bottom of the cup. She fixed herself a drink, using nearly twice as much of the mystery fluid in hers, then brought the drinks to the table, slamming one down in front of him. Aight, 'ere we go, 'eh? T'partyin'! With that she tapped their cups together and knocked back a huge swig of her drink, her eyes watering with the sheer strength of the alcohol and the all-around vile flavor. Anticipating his reaction she nodded at him matter-of-factly. Bes' t'finish s'much as ja can awl a' once, y'know. Try 'n' kill it 's fas' 's possible.

  7. All the time she was mixing up the drinks, he kept trying to curiously peer over her shoulder from where he was sitting, but to no avail. HeÂ’d have to wait and see what the outcome of all this was. Finally, she handed him the cup. "Yeah, to partying!" he said with a grin. Uncomfortably he eyed the cup and its bubbly contents. Try 'n' kill it 's fas' 's possible. Xhankis nodded slowly, ignoring the intoxicating odor coming from the cup, and instead concentrating on what he was doing. Firmly he gripped the glass, insecurity and lust ripping his brain in half, and he slowly brought it up to his face. No, no, noÂ… yes, yes, YES! The instant the rim of the glass made contact with his lip, he threw his head back, swigging the whole beverage in a few humungous gulps. AH! It burned, oh, so badly, the sensation cutting through his throat, and as he set down the cup, he felt his eyes watering, a couple renegade droplets of salty water - tears? - streaming down his cheeks. He wiped them away with the back of his paw, feeling the liquid sloshing down to his stomach. There. I did it, he told himself, halfway feeling betrayed. Just alcohol. No major drugs. No big dealÂ… But deep down, he wasnÂ’t convinced. His esophagus still in pain, he awaited the effects of the drink, glancing at Squeal. Ugh, the taste in his mouth was unbearable... What the hell did she put in that drink?

  8. Squeal pretty much went about ignoring Xhankis' concerns as she tended to her own need to get completely wasted. She grabbed a bottle of vodka by the neck, shoving it into her muzzle and gulping down a good eighth of its contents in one go. She slammed the bottle down on the table and just grinned at him for a few minutes, licking her lips on occasion as her mouth was getting very, very dry. Her hearing started to deteriorate slowly as the ringing set into her ears. Her vision also started to go as things turned electric and began leaving trails in front of her eyes. Her pupils dialated nice and wide and when she finally managed to lock eyes with Xhankis she looked nearly rabid, her eyes bloodshot and her jaw hanging slightly slack. She rolled her head around on her neck a bit, giggling wildly, and then decided it best to offer an explanation.

'S call'd PR-53. 'Sa wikkid nice thin'. Give 't time, y'll be feelin' 'ncredible in no time. 'Bserve. She reached into her stash box and pulled out a super-bright flashlight, then grinned wickedly. He'd certainly be feeling the effects by now, and very, very strong, even at his minimal dose (as he was inexperienced with the drug and had not yet built up a resistance.) She suddenly flashed the light rapidly in his eyes, then giggled wildly, almost assured that he'd be freaking out in no time. W'r gunna hav s'much fuuuuuun!

  9. Xhankis couldnÂ’t believe heÂ’d actually taken that damn drink from her without knowing what sheÂ’d put in it! But his thoughts soon began to drift away, fear making his body tingle - wait, was that fear, or just another stupid symptom of thisÂ…PR-junk? He didnÂ’t know. Tears began streaming down his cheeks again as he realized what heÂ’d just done. These kind of trips werenÂ’t his particular favorite. And that ringing - ugh! "Make it stooooppp!" he moaned, covering his eyes with his hands. Â’Bserve. he lifted his face from his palms, only to be greeted with a painfully bright white light, soon followed by purple, blue, and occasionally green spots in his vision. "WhatÂ’d you do that for? WhatÂ’s happening?" Panic kicked in just about then. "What is this stuff? You couldÂ’ve at least given me something IÂ’m familiar with!" he whined, opening his eyes. He was immediately distracted by the way everything looked. "Whoa." At that moment, all doubts and fear were shoved out of his mind - Maybe this will be some fun!

  10. Squeal nodded slowly, knowingly. Either the drug's effects had torn down his inhibitions or by this point he was really starting to enjoy it - and that's what she liked to see! She began waving her arms around in the air just for the fun of feeling the wind rush by them, giggling as it tingled up through her arms, down her spine and through her legs. She twitched rather violently. It was almost a bit of a muscle spasm - her whole head swiveled sideways rather hard, and when it stopped her whole body shuddered slightly in response. She put her paws out in front of her to steady her body and stood up slowly, getting a good look around the room. From her vantage point, the dorm looked infinite. She looked into the bedroom, marvelling at how expansive and just plain giant the bed seemed. It almost appeared as if it would go on forever. She took a step out onto the carpet, the soft texture of it between her toes tickling her wildly.

'S... a'wll nice night t'be... y'knw... I like... uhlike... less... - she paused, blinking - Y'ever note how 'mazinly p'rple yer ceil' is? 'N' lookit that lizard... She pointed to an empty spot on the floor. I 'inno th' 'llowed nanimals inna dorms! She reached down, attempting to pick it up, and lost her balance completely, falling flat on her face. Her tail bottlebrushed and stuck straight out as she lay there for a moment, then burst out in a chuckle. 'Sa tricky b'gger. Ranna weigh!

  11. Xhankis could hear her from outside of the room. Slowly he stood up. The door frame was jumping left and right, as if trying to confuse him, but he knew better. Now he was completely under the influence of the drink, and it was in full-swing. "I see yÂ’tryinÂ’ ta play games with me nÂ’fooool me, but it wonÂ’t work!" he yelled a bit more loud than it was considered legally sane. He darted through the door, and then was greeted by an odd sight - the box thing. What was it called? Teeeveee. Cautiously he walked over to it. "Inguis iffermanÂ…hmmmÂ…" He pressed the button. Bright lights and colors streamed through him, sending mixed images through his brain, the sounds and talking from the box thing making his brain feel like it was imploding. He pressed the button again. Immediately he was surrounded by blackness. Backing away from the T.V., he noticed he was back in the living room. Once again he stood in a trance, completely enveloped in the ringing. Where was Squeal? He walked forward, stumbling over a pillow into his bedroom. "Squeeealll!" he called out, before collapsing on his bed, staring straight up at the ceiling. It began spinning clockwise. "AhhhhhhÂ…at homeÂ…" Blue and green patterns began to swirl in front of his face, and he reached out to snatch them with his paw, but they wouldnÂ’t come. "Lemme get you!" he mumbled under his breath. Suddenly, they were all gone, replaced by the ringing again. Of course. ItÂ’d been there all along. He jumped up, his extremities tingling too much for his liking, an almost painful feeling. "Where yer goÂ…SquealÂ…AH! A SLOTH!" he shrieked, and ran back to the comfort of his own bed - which happened to be a foot away from his previous position. After a few moments of pure ringing, he stood back up again, completely still, making sure not to tip - he couldnÂ’t, or else heÂ’d spill the orange juice inside him.

    Yeah. TheyÂ’re on something.

  12. Squeal had heard him calling, but she was lost somewhere in the jungle just outside the living room. In reality, she was in the bathroom, gulping down water with her face under the faucet of the sink, the liquid splashing all over her fur and matting it down. When she finally realized where she was, she snorted, amused, and pulled her face out from under the spigot, leaving it running. She picked up a bar of soap, dropped it in the toilet, did an awkward about-face and stumbled out the door, calling for Xhankis at the top of her lungs. She had never actually tried to pronounce his name, and due to her ridiculous manner of speaking it took her quite some time to get a handle on new words - her current state didn't help any, either. She stumbled about for a few moments spitting out nonsense syllables. Ar... fl'... guh... fr'gledleepurk... - this was not working. She thought hard, concentrating on how the word looked in her mind - and quickly got distracted. The letters materialized and began dancing around in front of her eyes, changing colors and taunting her with the notion that try as she might, she'd never really be able to pronounce his name. She growled and let out an almost barking yell. YAN'IKS! She beamed, satisfied with the outcome of her efforts.

She stumbled through the living room, taking what was most likely the most roundabout path possible (and knocking over a few things on the way.) With a series of crashes and banging on the walls she found the door to the bedroom and stumbled through. ...I'un 'mem'er th' mirrurs a' o'er d' walls 'ere! She waved her hands, looking at their "reflection" on the hundreds of mirrors that lined the walls of the room. She glanced up at the ceiling, and suddenly with a great rush of air and an extreme tingling the whole room shifted into a swirling purple-and-white vortex that spun wildly around her, periodically flashing a bright, electric blue. She glanced down at Xhankis, who looked to her like he had been painted bright orange. She shook her head off, then blinked madly, attempting to get the pulsing orange afterglow of the light to leave her eyes. She tilted her head slowly to the side, wide, bloodshot eyes locked on Xhankis. 'S... 'sagud time, innit? I 'ell ya... th... th... t'ree nanimals... 'us innit enuff. She boggled for a few seconds over the gravity of the words she'd just uttered, then stumbled forward, falling flat on her face on the bed. The soft cushiony top of the mattress engulfed her and for a moment she felt as if she were buried in feathers before, with a loud electric zap, everything snapped firmly back to "reality," the whole room wildly shaking for a moment.

She rolled onto her side, staring at Xhankis slack-jawed with her tongue hanging from her mouth. ...Y'... so s'ft... ain't b'n inna bed fer... ev'r.... She went completely still for about a minute, looking almost completely (and convincingly) dead to the casual (or high) observer before snapping out of it and breaking into a wild giggle fit.

...Oh jeez, what'd Xhankis gotten himself into?

  13. Don’t want OJ all over the damn carpet. That’d take so long…what is that? No, can’t look…orange juice…Can’t look… He stayed in that position for five minutes before finally snapping out of it. Soon he was in the Himalayas, dancing with Squeal and one of his ex-girlfriends. "How’d you guys get hurr? Gah, that sun is bright…" Was it the sun? It kept getting closer, and closer, soon he was completely surrounded in white, and purple spots began to form. After a while of twitching he woke up next to a lamp that’d somehow fallen and was now laying on its side on the floor, the bulb right in front of Xhankis’s face. The lampshade was laying askew somewhere… he didn’t care. He got up. "Mmf…" Walking across the room to sit on the couch next to the large blue camel proved to be a difficult task. "Be right there…just…er…hol’on…" Suddenly a door was in front of him. He opened it. Whitewashed walls greeted him from across the corridor, but soon they turned red and yellow. He peered right, and his eyes widened as he saw the longest hallway he'd ever seen, that seemed to stretch on for eternity. “Whoa…" he marveled under his breath. Swinging his head to the left, he saw the same thing, except for the elevator that was placed about ten yards away. Covering his ears from the ghastly ringing, he limped to the elevator, pressing the down button and watching in awe as it lit up and colors exploded in front of his eyes, swirling and dancing. "Squeal! Y’gotta come lookit’ this!" he shouted to her.

    Uh oh. :O

  14. Hearing her name called from the hallway, Tee stumbled to her feet. Taking a step off of the bed, she fell onto the floor, but quickly righted herself, stumbling through the bedroom door. Everything shifted from bizzare colors to a blinding, blurry whiteness. She could barely make out the outlines of objects and the boundaries of the room through the white glare. She found the doorway to the hall and stumbled through it rather quickly, running straight through it and into the wall on the other side of the hall. She oofed loudly, winded and disoriented, then began shuffling down the hall rather quietly. The bright whiteness began to fade and the walls slowly appeared to be covered in a writhing, crawling organic mass, pulsing and beating along with her own heartbeat which pounded loud in her ears, interrupting the now near-deafening ringing.

She snuck up behind Xhanki and, due to a momentary lapse in judgement (brought on by a combination of alcohol and hallucinogenics) wrapped her arms around his waist, placing a sloppy lick on the back of his neck. 'Ey... 'utter 'ew doin' 'ere? She released him and walked over to the brushed-steel doors of the elevator which, while not perfect mirrors, reflected her electric coloring quite well. She grew fascinated by the colors, placing her paws on the elevator door to brace herself and leaning in close, staring at them. Soon, however, the doors opened and she nearly fell through them. As portal opened, out poured an almost liquid sort of light that slowly seemed to envelop her, drawing her in with its pale fluorescent glow. Y'thn'k mayb' w'should g'in?

  15. Xhankis was lost in his own unusual reveries, staring at the colors and shapes surrounding him with an odd look of interest on his face. His jaw ajar, he seemed oblivious as Squeal obviously mistook him for someone other than himself. The tail flame on the tip of his tail was much smaller than usual, as if signaling that he’d tuned out minutes ago. But, as the steel doors pulled open, his head snapped right towards them. “’Course," he said, walking through them slowly. Stars began attacking him, and he snatched at the many non-existent colorful, iridescent objects in front of him while the doors shut. He sat on a bed that somehow had gotten into the elevator, and a moment later there was an uplifting feeling in his stomach, and a zebra greeted him at the door of a giant brick building. "Why aren’t you at the zoo, stripey?" he asked, a perplexed look on his face. A floating bottle of ketchup materialized in front of his face, and he reached out, squeezing it, watching its contents spill onto the floor - and then suddenly he was back in the elevator, clenching Tee’s lower leg like there was no tomorrow. "Er, where’s the k-kern…ket…" He was lost for words as he watched the doors of the elevator glide back open. A grin spread across his face. "Peep-hole!" he exclaimed, making a few heads turn as he stood up and walked forward, heading for the door outside.

  16. Tee was flipping out the whole elevator ride down. The sinking feeling in her torso was nearly sickening to her and the gentle whirring of the elevator motors was magnified in her ears to a deafening, terrifying roar. She clawed desperately at the walls, digging deep marks into the wallpaper, whining loudly. When the elevator came to a complete stop she crouched down close to the floor, feeling at it with her hands to make sure it was no longer going to fall out from beneath her. She glanced at the doors - they slowly slid open, allowing a rainbow of colors to cascade inward. She batted them away with her paw, leaving glowing trails in the shape of her arm in her field of vision.

Purring softly (for no apparent reason) with her tail wagging wildly behind her, she poked her nose out the door, glancing around curiously. It seemed safe enough, except for the moving, 'dragon shaped columns of light that mulled about. She could barely make out their eyes, which all seemed to be staring directly at her. She was quite a sight to see, at any rate. Her face fur was all matted from various liquids she had consumed throughout the night. Her eyes were bloodshot, glazed, and her pupils fully dialated. With every step she took she bobbed wildly as if the ground beneath her was moving, and her tail was wildly swinging around behind her. Her breathing was rapid, her tongue was lolled out of her mouth and her jaw was hanging somewhat slack. 'Slike w'v land' onna 'noffer plan't! she remarked thoughtfully, walking up to one person in the hall and reaching out slowly to touch them. A plan't fulla ghos's!

  17. Xhankis nodded furiously in agreement and stammered over to Squeal. “Now don’t be touchin’ ‘em, they could be strangers," he whispered into her ear, glaring at the ‘dragon she’d approached with suspicion and jerking her hand away from him. After a few dozen seconds of glowering at random people, he decided the oversized coffee mug underneath the ‘Exit’ sign was more exciting. He walked up to it in a zigzag pattern, all the while humming something close to Jingle Bells, with a few creative notes added into it, some in the form of snorts, others in an odd gurgling noise(similar to the sound Chewbacca makes, but let's leave all that Star Wars junk in the human world.)

As he pushed up against the coffee mug, a rush of slightly colder air met his face, and the mug fell away at his weight. Before he knew it, he was outside. “What in the bloody he - …IT’S SNOWING!" he shrieked it at the top of his lungs, as large white spots appeared in front of his eyes. But, they were not going down like normal snowflakes…they were completely still. "Hmph. Some snow," he remarked sarcastically, eyes narrowed to slits. Just then the ringing got even more obnoxious and constant in his ears. “Squeeeeeaaaaaaallllllll!" he called out at the top of his lungs. Where was she? Did she turn into a ghost, too? Ghosts? What? Where am I? The taste of dirt was strong in his mouth, and he opened his eyes. When’d the grass turn blue? His eyes widened, and he clenched to the grass beside him. His sense of gravity had completely flipped - up was down, and down was up - and now he was hanging onto the ground for dear life, in fear of falling upwards into the sky. "Skeh…sk…skee…skoom…SKEEL!" he screamed, and began foaming at the mouth. Yellow and blue lights were spinning in circles so fast in front of him, he began to get dizzy, and the ringing wouldn’t stop.
