    B|(-

    Month - Tria
    Day - 50
    Year - One

Jargon leapt upon a small outcrop of fallen whitewashed rock. So strange it was to be venturing out here again. His flamed tail curled around, licking at the air angrily as it did. The day had already broken over the horizon, yet it wasn't quite noon. The air itself was a little humid and made everything seem to stick together. Jargon settled back upon his grey haunches, letting his gaze drift over the viewable ruins.

This area had once been widely populated. But now there was nothing to prove that except for the garbage and toppled buildings that littered the floor. What was even more, Jargon didn't know why exactly this area had been quickly shut down. There had been whisperings of some underground society... but that was it. Everything else had been skillfully hushed up. So many secrets. But how to pull the wool from everyone's eyes and expose the truth?

Jargon was swiftly reminded of one of his own misadventures. One where the "truth" didn't seem all that believable. Naka, his girlfriend at the time, had been bitten by a rodent. Not just any rodent though. Some odd infected mutated thing. Naka had promptly been turned into a rodent too... most likely by the saliva and poisons the other rat had passed into her. Then of course, Draco, Naka's dad had to walk in and see the entire mess. Before that there had been another incident as well. Naka had fainted. Jargon still to this day didn't know exactly why, but the way the incident made his heart jump, he never wanted to go through it again. Draco had to slide in and see this as well... oh how horrible it had made Jargon seem. And then the only words he could manage was something along the lines of "clams". Clams?!

He shook his head, eyes half closing in remembrance. He'd told Naka that he'd meet her here later... and she agreed to. Once she was finished with whatever work she had to attend to. But until she arrived, he had the whole day unfilled and waiting before him.</font></blockquote></font>

  2. <font color='#32CD32'><span style='color:BLUE'>A dark figure roused himself out of the ruins in the humid morning.  He stood slowly, tapping his paws against the hard ground.  His dark blue eyes rose and took in the sunlight.  His saffire eyes burned and he squinted.  He realized that it had been years since he saw the sun and he wished he hadn't.  He shook his head and made his hair cover his eyes.  He growled as he licked his teeth.  He needed a breathmint too.

His tail moved against his back, tapping a fly away gently.  He hissed.  In all the years he had been sleeping under the rubble he had yet to heal completely.  He growled, he must not have concentrated enough.  The cut over his eyebrow still red with irratation.

Lucas meandered out of the rubble, staggering slightly at his confusion.  He looked around slowly and carefully, wondering if in all the years he was hiding under the ruins, that the child of Lucifer stayed and watched, waiting for him to wake up.

After looking around he finally realized that, no, he was not in any immediate danger.</span></font>

  3. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300"><tr><td>
<font size="1" face="verdana" color="gray">Just a few yards away from the two, a lanky figure stood, whistling cheerfully as he went through the pile of rubble at his feet. It had been a good day of scrounging, and all sorts of odds and ends that he had collected from the ruins now lay before him, waiting to be sorted into three basic categories: garbage he could pass off as treasure to some unsuspecting chump, stuff that he could probably manage to sell for lots more than it was worth if he could just find the right buyer, and finally, the one that barely ever got filled... the /real/ gems of interest.

Hype had only recently discovered the usefulness of this location, he had heard talk of it before, but never considered the possibilities it could hold. These days, a good portion of his time was spent here, rummaging through whatever was left of the city. Yes, it was tiring at times.. especially with all the overgrowth. And rarely did he find anything.. well... /rare/, nothng honestly rare anyways, usually just buttons or levers or other bits and pieces of machina, dulled and rusting with age. However, being a hoarder himself, he only actually sold half the things he bought.. taking the rest to add to his little pile of 'treasure', hidden somewhere, in an undisclosed location. Usually, the less valuable half.

The pendragon raised a paw to wipe the sweat off his brow, then took a quick moment to stretch, for a day of constantly looking down would give one a permanent slouch eventually. It was then that he saw Lucas and Jargon, a little ways away. The first thought to enter his mind was if either or them were possibly buyers.

And the seocnd was if he should go talk to them.

  4. <font color='#810541'>[IMG]soft breeze that picked up quite suddenly covered up the light sound of flapping wings. A light touch down also covered by the northern breeze made sneaking up on Jargon all too easy. Calm eyes gazed before her between red locks from a blueish purple mask. It was when one of Naka's delicate blueish purple feathers from her unfolded wings floated softly in the air and landed upon Jargon's nose did Naka break. The perfect landing was so she might have the chance of spooking her unsuspecting boyfriend. But once the feather touched his nose Naka couldn't help but let out a loud snort of laughter.

She stood, half sitting behind Jargon. Her wings remained unfloded, but in mid pose as if Naka were ready to hide behind them. Naka smiled crookedly and flipped her red hair  away from her eyes. Her eyes, normally coloured a bright yellow, looked a soft amber in the mid morning sunlight. Naka's long bushy tail dipped down and brushed the soft earth under her paws.

Her crooked smile faded suddenly as Naka realized that Jargon had been keeping company. Gazing over his shoulder from Lucas to Hype, Naka raised fully to her feet and folded her wings back. Her ears pricked forward and in a curious, yet cautious voice she uttered

    Who are your friends Jargon?</font>

  5. <font color='#FFFFFF'><blockquote><font size=1 face=verdana>Jargons ears splayed back against his head as Lucas suddenly appeared as if out of nowhere. He silently cursed himself for not being as watchful as he should be. Living in times like these, one should always be prepared to expect the unexpected. The pendragon looked a little disoriented. His ears perked back forward as he made to casually get back up to his feet. He was about to open his mouth to greet Lucas when some whistling alerted his ears. What now?

Another? And this area was usually deserted... He shifted his weight slightly, frowning at the odds that were definately not in his favour. It was a code that all pendragons weren't friendly... but, he'd at least give them both a chance. And if luck wasn't with him, he could always take to the skies. He'd always had an advantage there.

    <font color="#BBE7F7">“Um... h-hullo."</font>

Jargon said tentively, trying to address them both but failing miserably as his voice faltered. His eyes crossed as he felt a feather land lightly on his snout, then smiled as a tell-tale chuckle entered his ears. Naka landed delicately in front of him as he blew the feather off of his muzzle with a happy huff of air.

<font color="#BBE7F7">“Naka!"</font> He cried almost rapturously, forgetting himself and her question for a moment. Then his eyes swept over the other two. <font color="#BBE7F7">“Er... to be honest, I d-don't rightly know."</font></font></blockquote></font>

  6. <font color='#32CD32'><span style='color:BLUE'>Lucas peered around the ruins.  His sore eyes took in everything.  The two pendragons almost infront of him and the one that whistled to his side.  He looked between the three of them and felt very much in danger, not really being able to see them.  His hair rose in his anger.  Lucas hated being frightened.

He slowly started to back up into the mound of rubble of which he emerged.  In the moment he was completely submerged in the darkness, his tired eyes relaxed and darted around.  All that was seen in the dark cover of the ruins were two angry blue eyes and a tail burning bright blue.  His hair, being black, disappeared.

He finally felt less in danger.  There was no way for someone to come up at his flank and kill him and there was no way for anyone to attack his port or starbord side as all that could be attacked was his front so he could see what was coming.  He liked it better that way.  The rocks covered all around so even though his vision was cut off he saw a lot more.

He looked to the two on the hill and he hissed.  They had wings.  He might be their prey.  His back stung again as he remembered the last attack on him.  It was, also, from above.  The scar down his back still hurt.

His left ripped ear pulled back as he sat on his hind legs and watched what was happening.  His eyes fixated on the two.</span></font>

  7. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300"><tr><td>
<font face="verdana">Hype blinked, and his eyebrows shot up as yet /another/ came, landing by the first. There was a time when he would have been slightly ticked at seeing others perform so well in the air, but by now he had come to accept the fact that he was a cripple. as he watched the two speak, it was clear to him that they knew each other, and they were at least interested in him and the other one... whether they actually wnated to meet them or not, he wasn't sure of. he had tried to approach others in the past and found that their.. ugh.. /carnivirous/ ways carried over into their personalities.

The other stranger suddenly seemed tense, and retreated back into hiding. From where he stood, Hype couldn't tell if he was merely waiting within the rubble or if he had entered through some secret tunnel and left the area. As it was, Hype was not in the mood to find out, especially if these people turned out to be hostile... After all, he still had junk left to sort.

The pendragon took a glance at his little pile of treasure. He pushed the contents aside, leaving them to rest under a lerge jutting rock. Then he turned, and started trotting towards Jargon and Naka, the long way around. Though one wouldn't be able to tell from behind the shades, he kept an eye on the spot where Lucas had disappeared, expecting the male to come charging out at any moment.

As he drew closer, Hype decided to give it a try and shout, "Er.. hey!"
    </font>
    </td></tr></table></font>

  8. <font color='#810541'>Naka set her eyes on Lucas. She wasn't sure if he was simply leaving backwards, or intimedated by all the pendragons. Everyone seemed to be tense. Naka, being brought up solely by her father, Draco, had been taught that all pendragons had some good in them. Her father wasn't an untrustworthy guy, so Naka turned out to be a little too trusting of her own kin. She was always taught that the enemy she need fear came in Rapine form. And of course Dragons. Naka grew up with a natural fear of Dragons knowing that her mother was killed by a Draconis Rapine.

Naka stepped boldly forward, unaffraid of anything that Lucas had to offer, and approached the pile of rubble he had concealed himself in. Her yellow eyes peered into the dark gap, and met with Lucas' cold blue eyes. She then realized that he was indeed retreating.

Naka fluttered her wings and continued to gaze into the drakness. It almost held her in a trance. But with a quick blick, Naka suddenly stumbled backwards, out of harms way. She wasn't sure why she reversed, but her newfound caution kept her at bay, however her eyes still remained in the darkness with the male pendragon.</font>

  9. <font color='#FFFFFF'><blockquote><font size=1 face=verdana>Jargon tilted his head, glancing to where Lucas had retreated to. Kind of odd. Was something the matter with this guy? A small frown tugged at the corners of Jargon's mouth but was abolished as Hype gave a ushered forth a greeting. At least this one was willing to converse... he thought. So he turned his attention briefly to Hype, wondering for a moment why he had chosen to come the long way around.

<font color="#B0E7F0">“Hullo!"</font> He called back, <font color="#B0E7F0">“My name's Jargon, and this is -"</font> Jargon turned to introduce Naka but found that she had vacated his side. He did a quick double take, a puzzled expression coming over his finely chisled features.

    <font color="#B0E7F0">“N-naka?"</font>

He queried the air, then caught the colours of Naka's tail a little ways away. What was she up to now? Certainly she knew better than to corner some stranger... who didn't seem all that friendly as it was. Yet, Jargon kept his mouth shut. Knowing better now of Naka's ways and avoided asking her just what she thought she was doing. He shook his head and looked back to Hype, offering him a rather meek smile.</font></blockquote></font>

  10. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300">
    <font face="verdana">
A grin slowly spread over Hype's maw as Jargon responded cheerfully enough. In his mind, he did a victory dance, complete with plenty of freaky twists and ending in a swift sliding motion, claws locked in peace signs to complete his super-star pose. The daydream was extremely brief, however, as he intended it to be.. those kind of things popped up in his head at random intervals. He kidded himself that they were merely there to keep him sane, but the truth was that.. it was fun to make-believe.

Since Jargon and his companion seemed friendly enough, Hype sauntered over, slumping to his haunches as he came before him. Since the male had been so quick to introduce himself, Hype thought if would be nice of him to do the same. "Pleased to meet you, Jargon.. Really, I am. I'm not just saying that because everyone else does... I'm Hype."

He then turned to the one called Naka, brows furrowing slightly at her approach. He was about to ask Jargon if he was sure it was wise to let her do that, but then his little fear of females kicked in, and he figured she would do something horrible to him. Something with pickle juice and bricks...
    </font>
    </table></font>

  11. <font color='#0000FF'>Lucas looked apon Naka and his eyes widened.  Why was she looking at me like that?  Is she going to eat me?  His tail waved back and forth as he began to crouch in case this one attacked, he would have a way out.  He looked at her warily.

"What do you wish of me?"  He whispered, giving up not talking to her.</font>

  12. <font color='#810541'>Naka's nose twitched as she stared into the darkness. Her features were anything but threatening. She flicked her long bushy tail forward, and the tip just brushed her belly. It was a reasuring gesture that Naka had come to rely on lately.

Without stepping forward, Naka grined and pricked her ears forward at Lucas' words.

    Just to say hello.

Feeling better that she had gotten through to the sulky pendragon, sort of, Naka backed up a few steps more, and turned and trotted back to Jargon. It wasn't usually her style to be so untrustworthy of any pendragon, but Naka had defenetly felt some weird vibes comming off him. So it was merely instinct that told her not to turn her back to him.

As Naka joined Jargon's side, she flushed with embarassment realizing that she hadn't greeted Hype. With a friendly smile, and a quick wag of her tail Naka said

    Hiyo! </font>

  13. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300">
<font face="verdana">Hype's smile grew wider at her friendly greeting. He offered a brisk nod of acknowledgement, and said, "Hello there, Miss. I'm Hype... and I beleive your companion here said you were named Naka..." He tried to keep his words as polite and respectful as he could. This had become a habit when speaking to females... even he himself wasn't sure why he feared them so.

Introduction done, he allowed his gaze to drift over to Lucas. As Hype thought about what Naka's actions could've meant in the way of friendliness, he allowed his neck to roll back smoothly, sunglasses catching the light for a second and revealing the multi-colors hidden beneath. Just as quickly, it snapped forward again, and he pursed his lips a bit as he brought about the question.

"Er... did you catch the fellow's name? I'm not nosy, I'm just curious." The smile hadn't left his face.
    </font></table></font>

  14. <font color='#FFFFFF'><blockquote><font size=1 face=verdana>Jargon shook his head and gave Naka a small nudge with his shoulder. He still felt ill at ease about the pendragon hanging out in the shadows... but who knew, maybe he'd swing around. At least they were somewhat hitting it off with this other one though; Hype. Funny how his name was an actual word, much like Jargon's own. Both had somewhat negative meanings too. Of course, just a coincidence.

As Naka and Hype addressed each other, Jargon kept his silence. Though when the question arose about the other's name he was equally as curious. In times like these it paid not to meddle in other 'dragons affairs. Yet he wondered if Naka had whisked the strangers name away from him, she'd always had her ways.</font></blockquote></font>

  15. <font color='#810541'> Lucas Shadow.

Naka blurted without even thinking. Lucas hadn't indeed given his name, but being a journeyman in Inner Sight, Naka had her own way of obtaining this knowledge. Naka swivled her head around to see if her sudden information had made it's way to Lucas' ears.

Whoops. Wasn't suppose to say that. If anyone asks... he told me.

Naka had been taught that her Inner Sight ability wasn't to be used in such ways, so Naka fell silent and lowered her head.</font>

  16. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300"><font face="verdana">
Hype nodded, understanding a bit. "Ahh... ok Miss, Naka, he told you then." He glanced again at Lucas, tail flicking back and forth as he thought. Deciding that the guy didn't look too dangerous, he turned back towards the other two and raised his eyebrows.

    "Well.. he doesn't exactly look like he wants to hurt anyone. Maybe he's lonely. Or antisocial.. or phobic of sunlight." The Others popped into his head.. except not really, I was just trying to take up space. --;
    </font></table></font>

  17. <font color='#0000FF'>Lucas looked at Naka eyes wide with horror. When did he tell her his name?...I never told her my name...She must be working with Lucifer.  He charged out of his hiding place growling at her.

"HOW DID YOU KNOW?!"  He stopped infront of them all and fell to the earth hissing.  His eyes were burning.  In his rush to find out how he forgot about the sun.  He squinted his eyes so he could see them and he turned around quickly and ran back to were he had been hiding.  When he got there he went as far back as he could and hid from the sun.  He didn't want to talk to anyone.  He had just made a fool of himself.  He sat down angrily and scowled.</font>

  18. <font color='#FFFFFF'><blockquote>Jargon chuckled lightly as Naka blurted out the stranger's name. He'd always known that she'd had a certain gift when it came to mind abilities. It probably ran in the Dragyn line.

    <font color="#B0E7F0">“Some sort of phobia no doubt..."</font>

He commented after Hype's remark. Jargon was about to add something else when Lucas suddenly exploded onto the scene with his demanding question. At first though Jargon had thought he wanted to quarrel as he slipped into his own ready stance. Defensive of his mate, and now newly found friend. Yet Lucas slipped off just as quickly as he had suddenly appeared.

    <font color="#B0E7F0">“Ah.. w-what?"</font> Jargon said, apparently very confused with the situation. <font color="#B0E7F0">“I m-missed something... right?"</font></blockquote></font>

  19. <font color='#810541'>The thought of Lucas being lonely hadn't occured to Naka before, or she wouldn't have left so abruptly. Now that Hype had mentioned it, Nama became lost deep in thought. Naka had her head in the clouds when she heard the sound of a deep throated growl. Snapping back into reality, Naka looked just in time to see Lucas charging directly at her.

Naka let out a startled yelp and fumbled her way back. Her left hind foot hit a rather large stone, and Naka's hindquarters slipped and hit the ground. Now in a sitting position, Naka flared her giant blue wings and stretched them out. The words HOW DID YOU KNOW hit Naka like a ton of bricks.

By the time Lucas fell to the ground in a hissing frenzy, Naka was reared up on her hind legs, flapping her wings taking off. Her feet never left the ground though. Instead, when the enraged pendragon retreated back to his cave, Naka found her own voice and gave a quick snarl after him. It wasn't because she was angry with him. It was more or less for scaring the bejesus out of her.</font>

  20. <font color='#A8A8A8'><table width="300"><font face="verdana">Hype, however, was equally confused. As Lucas had exploded from hiding, yelling about something or other, he had somehow become very distracted by his teeth. So white, so shiny, so nice... That is, until the stranger had become very close to them. Then he had backed up a step, body tensing, and, ironically, he was expecting him to pounce them rather than attack.. which, in Hype's mind, was equally vicious. But just as he braced himself, the odd 'dragon had recoiled, hissing like mad. Now, felines had always intrigued Hype, so here, the male had loosened and even leaned in a bit closer to observe Lucas. Perhaps he was some kind of mutated thing...

But then he had turned tail and ran straight back to where he came from. And so, now Hype stood, head cocked a bit, looking puzzled at what had just happened. The first thought to come to him was if he was developing some kind of ADD, and the second was if anyone else had understood the stranger's odd actions. He glanced at Jargon, only to be answered by that very question.

    [edit]
Hype then turned to Naka with the same puzzled expression, and was taken aback by her snarl, at first thinking it was meant for him. "eh.. you alright there, Miss? Naka?" he'd always had this problem: kept forgetting to tack on lady's names on the end of 'Miss'...
