Walking off the main street in Bhim's East district, Maeanu pulled her old jean jacket closely around to keep her defended from the winter chill that was still going to be present in Bhim for at least another week. Her vibrant blue hair which had been gelled into a mohawk for work was already falling into her face and she was sure it looked like a mess. It wasnÂ’t a problem though, because she was on her way home.

She looked up at the house she recognized and knew this was where she had to take a left and after that it would only be two more blocks and she’d be able to relax. It had been a harder day that normal at “The Seven Blessings", some arden had started a stupid fight about how the new council of thirteen would fix everything and someone else had jumped up to say it was just another government cover up. Mae had her own views on the ruler of their world but would never dare voice them to that group. Her boss, and owner of the bar quickly broke up the fight with a little bit of magic, but not soon enough to avoid damage to the tables and chairs. So it turned into a whole evening of cleaning for her and the rest of the staff.

That was why she was really looking forward to falling into her mattress when she got home. And even the walk home hadnÂ’t been that bad, usually sheÂ’d have at least one drunkard ask for a smoke or for money, or other less common things. Tonight she had only past one group of mischievous looking teens, who didnÂ’t seem interested in her in any way.

Other then the low paying job, so far Mae didnÂ’t mind living on her own, making her own cash, it felt good to be independent. It made her feel so alive and just gave her a good over all feeling. And sheÂ’d make a point to rub it in her fathers face if she ever saw him again. That thought brought a smile crooked grin to her face.

Taking another turn the win blew her lose hair into her face and it stuck to her lips, she kept walking being temporarily blinded as she tried to remove the hairs from her face with her blue tipped hands making it impossible for her to see if anything was blocking her path.
