Day: 17th Month: Dyo Year: 2 A mouse-brown pendragon niotie was free for the day. No classes to speak of, at least, not now. Mismatched blue and green eyes scan her surroundings. The gates weren't too far off, and the gardens were off to the right. The entrance was of no interest: she wanted to excersize her freedom, and being underground, under the watchful eye of teachers, was not how she wanted to spend it. Thus, Anezka strolls outside Janardan, trotting through the grasses. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and life was good. She was learning in all her classes, which was amazing in itself. Today was her birthday, on top of it all. Her 900th year! So... why was she so lonely?
\\ OOC: This is a different day from their training in the hallway; 18 days later. \\ IC Anezka looks at Naraku, and shrugs. She was used to his very odd magic by now. "Nowhere, really.." She looks up at the sky for a long moment, then sits down. She looks back to the dark arts teacher and smiles, "Today's my birthday." For being so young, she really didn't sound so excited.
Anezka was surprised that she was swung around, and laughs -- genuinely! Certainly a pick-me-up to her mood. No pun intended! Between laughter-fits, she manages, "Joy, huh? Fine then, joy 'tis!"
"thats better, sec" he held up his hand and a green non solid wall thing apperared. then then cast a spell and took away the green wall "TADA! " a large cake as his as him was there. It even had a figuren of him swinging her around on top of it
"what?! you dont like it? that was a hard spell! at least try it dear" he picked her up agian and swung her around iin the air. this time when he put her down a small crown with minute precious red stones in it "like your birthday gift?
Anezka stares, slack-jawed. At his quiery, she shakes her head to dismiss the thought of her disliking the gifts, "No! No.. no, I love it, actually.. no one's ever really gotten me anything for my birthday before.." Her parents were wonderful 'dragons, of course, who raised her polite, and competent to take on the world, but they were always busy, and not much enthralled with birthdays. So to now have a cake and a little crown atop her head.. she was shocked and amazed. She embraces the dark arts teacher in a tight hug; she was only just big enough to get her skinny little arms around him to do such! "Thank you very much!" She backs up and sits down, looking at the cake, "D'you want the first piece?" it was only fair: he had said it was a hard spell, and she knew she'd probably eat it all if given the chance, before anyone else was able to look at it!
She shakes her head, "Nope. Never before today!" Anezka smiles. Having been given permission to take the first piece of cake, made especially for her, she reaches out her long index digit claw and cuts herself some. She was polite, but certainly not meticulous! No plates for this one, a paw was as good as any plate, and she could lick her paws clean when she was finished, while it was impolite to lick a plate clean! Mouth full of cake she grins, "This is very good," she nods a couple times, eyeing the cake, and contemplating taking another piece, and whether she'd look greedy if she did.
thank you, i had practice making them for my kids he took a slice any other gifts you have in mind?
ANother pendragon approached the pair- the familiar form of Hype. He slipped past the gates, striding along in that idle but not quite bored way that people often do on cheery days. There wasn't exactly a spring to his step, but blackened ears were perked and the mysterious eyes beneath his shades seemed to be scanning the area, searching for something. Or someone. The male slowed to stop as he came to the pendragons. They were familiar- the spunky, eager student he had met a couple weeks ago, and her tutor. Or perhaps he had become something more, Hype thought as he eyed the cake decoration. It wasn't difficult to figure out what was occurring here, and even so, he was a master at evaluating any scene. "Hey again. Celebrating a birthday, are we?"
" I havent seen you in a while...ah..ah...Hype! Will you join our birthday party? you have to have a gift though"
Anezka's mismatched eyes widen as she hears Hype's voice, and, quickly wiping away the cake crumbs around her mouse-brown lips, she attacks him, too, in a hug. Well, she had to live up to her rambuncious nature somehow, right? "Hype!" she smiles, releasing him from her grip, "Glad to see you! T'day's my birthday, y'know. I wasn't all that excited, but Mr. Naraku, here, gave me a cake, and, and, this." she re-stelles the little crown which held it's lop-sided place atop her forehead, grinning foolishly all the while.
"Hello Naraku," was his calm reply as the excited little niotie attacked him. The male happened to glance downwards, about to return the greeting, when something caught his eye. How could he have missed it! It wasn't usual for things to slip past him unnoticed, but this most definately had. Young Anezka's eyes were mismatched, and in a most familiar way, too. To demonstrate, Hype did something very rare. A hand flew up to grip the side of his sunglasses lightly, and, a brief smirk playing on his lips, he pulled them down his muzzle, exposing the otherwise completely covered orbs. They too, didn't match- infact, they were exactly like the girl before him's, only a shade darker, but chaotic in nature all the same. "Heh, look. We're twins. Soul twins, since peepers are supposedly the windows to thus mentioned." No doubt about it- Hype was in a good mood today. Reclining into a meerkat position as he was released, the con artist listened to her short story carefully. Lips curled slightly more, and he replied, "Ah, a party, then? Well, he's right, I need a gift. And for that..." The male made a movement with his arm, and seemed to pull something out of nowhere. Unballing his fist, he held out a small pile/wad[ooc: should ask aboutt hat oO] of gil. "Nothing talks better than money. Go out and spend it however you like." It had probably been earned in less than honorable ways, but it was a nice sum nonetheless.
Oblivious of the tension between the adults, Anezka grins irrepresibly as Hype lifts his dark shades, and she sees eyes the same color as her own; mismatched colors of blue and green, though much darker than hers. "That's so cool.." the statement is breathed in awe. Not only had she never seen another 'dragon with odd eyes like hers, but she never would have expected them to be the same basic color as hers! As he produces the gil she giggles, incapable to fathom what she'd use it for. Most likely save it for that proverbial rainy day! "Thank you!" She looks back at the cake, then to Hype with that insatiable childish happiness, "Do you want some? It's very good," she looks back to Naraku, "it's probably the best tasting spell I ever eaten!" Of course, she'd never had magically-prepared food before, but she knew what she liked. Due to her age, just about anything with a sweetener stood out among the crowd.
he held back a laugh at the gil and almost craked when she said it was the best spell she had ever had "game anyone?
She looks at Naraku, "I don't know any.. erm.. civil games.." she looks a little bashful, but not for not knowing any good games, like one would expect, but rather from the games she did know. Fighting games, mostly. And since she was the runt, and the oddball, she was most often picked on, and the item of torture in these 'games'. Real games were a thing of the past, because once nioties reached a certain age, differences were tormented, not accepted.
Quickly Hype jerked his head back, shades sliding back into place. He eyed the magic cake, and after a moment replied, "Sure. Can't say I'm not hungry." In all actuality, it was very appealing. Hype was, as they say, a junk food addict, an omnivore to the core. He liked 'human' food, and didn't really care for meat at all. Upon hearing Naraku's request, he shrugged. "Sure, how do you play?" As a kid, he had never been one to play games with the other little 'dragons, most of his free time was spent quietly observing.
