  1. <font color='#000080'>(OOC: this is AkoranÂ’s first night in Ajita after a few months of travelling. Feel free to do whatever ^-^)

    Quarter: Tria (Summer)
    Day: Between 1 and 50
    Year: 81377 (3)

The sounds of families talking and laughing together drifted to his ears. He gave a low growl of bitterness. He had never heard his family laugh. He had heard them snarl, heard them cry for his blood, but never laugh. He'd left them- well, been driven out really, but he was too proud to admit that -as a child, he'd lived wild. For a fleeting moment, he wondered what it was like to talk and laugh and smile with those you loved. He extinguished the thought, disgusted with himself. How could he want to smile with loved ones? He had no loved ones. He looked after himself. Always had. Always would.
He stretched out his single misshapen wing and lay down on the thick tree branch on which he perched. One of his forelegs hung listlessly down from the bough, swaying slowly in the evening breeze. He gazed out through cold, dark, mismatched eyes at the dying rays of the sun. There was a scent on the air. A storm. He smiled at the thought of the oh-so-joyful families running for cover from torrential rain and lightning.</font>

  2. <font color='#810541'>The rain was coming down in a torrent. Fat, heavy raindrops splattered against the hard ground before bouncing back up in failed attempts to return to the sky that had borne them for so long. The storm had literally, as most summer storms will, appeared out of no-where. One minute the sky was a light blue, not a cloud marring its perfection. The next it was an angry grey dropping its load unto unsuspecting nappers below.

She midnight blue she 'dragon ran as fast as her long canine legs could carry her. Her golden coloured "paws" were a blur against the dark ground as she searched for some sort of cover. Ahead of her she spotted a huge pine tree with boughs that were weighed down with needles.

A shiver ran down her spine along with the raindrops as she ran with a new burst of speed, skidding to a stop under the relatively dry pine. There she rid herself of some excess water and sat against the tree trunk prepared to wait out the storm that threatened to take up the rest of the day.</font>

  3. <font color='#FFFFFF'>A male 'dragon shook the raindrops out of is long tail, his flame flickering in the rain.  As the thunder began to break he broke into a trot, searching for cover. He spotted the lone pine, and as the first lightning bolt struck, sprinted for it.

He noticed the other 'dragon about 50 metres away from the tree. Finally, he reached the semi-dry land. He shaked the water droplets from his white-blonde pelt, and curled up, with his tail-flame close to his face to keep him warm. He turned to face the she 'dragon, happy in spite of the weather. "Hi!"</font>

  4. <font color='#8D38C9'>Akoran looked up sharply. The sound of voices reached his tattered ears. He stretched out one long blood-red leg and tipped his head slightly, raising his muzzle to smell. Yes... they were quite clear... other 'dragons.
He sat up, allowing the heavy drops of rain to splash on his outthrust muzzle and flatten his fur. A low growl started in the back of his throat.</font>

  5. <font color='#810541'>The female pendragon jumped slightly when a warm voice cheerfully greeted her. So focused on memorizing the drenched landscape was she, that she hadn't even realized anyone approached her hiding spot, forget about noticing anyone already there. A frown painted her face in disgust at her own lack of attention for the surroundings. Some wanderer I am. Dont even notice when someone comes running up to me. One day that person isn't going to be so cheerful in saying hello and I'm going to find myself seriously injured... saying hello...?

The midnight 'dragon quickly spun around to face the stranger. She hoped he hadn't seen the frown and if he had she hoped he didn't think it was meant for him. Blast me and my slow comprehension!

The male that stood in front of her was built heavier than herself and was also slightly shorter. He looked about the same age, possibly a few years older, but not by many that was for sure. His coat was practically a perfect opposite of her own and his eyes almost shone in the storm created darkness. His entire look conveyed an easy going friendliness that the female found quite appealing, it being so unusual in unknown pendragons and all.

"Hey. Gotta love these summer 'showers', no?"

She allowed a smile onto her face. Happy that there was someone she could talk to, at least until the story ended anyway.

"Ironically enough my name is Storm. And you are...?"</font>

  6. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Tajar took a few moments to take in the female's appearance. She had long legs, and her coat was a glossy dark shade that blended in perfectly with the darkening surrondings. However, her paws were a golden yellow, that seemed to shine in the dim light. A strange feeling came over Tajar, similar to the trances he sometimes fell into. A voice that was his own, yet strangely different rang insde his head. "This is someone you must meet. Whether you befreind them or not, you must talk...".

Tajar shook his head as the voice faded. He realised that the female was frowing at him, and his grin faded slightly. However, he pushed on, perhaps unwisely.
"Hey. Gotta love these summer 'showers?', no?"
The female 'dragon smiled, her fiery eyes lighting up.
"Ironically enough my name is Storm. And you are...?"
Tajar's smile broadened, as he responded.
"I'm Tajar, the wandering storyweaver. Pleased to meet you. Do you come here often?"
He laughed, making his tail wave from side to side, the flame growing and becoming a golden-red colour. Being an inexperienced traveller, he did not know that what he was doing was a beacon to danger...</font>

  7. <font color='#8D38C9'>Akoran started his awkward descent, claws digging into the tree bark. As he neared the bottom, a flame- a tail flame -suddenly flared up inches from his face. He gave a snarl of confused alarm and fell the rest of the way down. He curled up a split second before he hit the ground, catching a glimpse of a pair of shocked looking 'dragons. He squeezed his eyes shut and felt his body slam onto the forest floor, knocking the air out of his lungs.</font>

  8. <font color='#810541'>The midnight coloured female's smile grew wider when the male, Tajar, spoke. A pendragon that is friendly AND has a sense of humor! What luck being caught in a rain storm can bring! ... That makes as much sense as sittin' under a tree in a thunder
    storm!

Oh yeah. I always visit this tree when I get soaked by a surprise rain storm. Its one of my favorite past times. You know- She stopped mid sentence when Tajar's tail began waving back and forth, causing the flame to grow both bigger and brighter. Tajar sto-!

Storm yelped and jumped back as a low growl came from behind Tajar followed by a black mass that hit the ground with a loud thump and a "whoosh" of air. The thing, which as it turned out, was actually a newly-bruised pendragon that looked a little worse for wear. Storm took a small step forward coming even with the pale coated male. Her ears were perked forward in concern for the fallen 'dragon, but something at the back of her mind told her to keep her guard up. Afterall, what was he doing creeping down the tree trunk in silence?

    Ummmm... are you okay?</font>

  9. <font color='#FFFFFF'>Tajar laughed at her reply, his tail-flame still growing. However, he broke off at Storm's words.
    "Tajar sto-!"
Tajar, heard a low growl, and spun around, sensing danger. He gasped as he saw a scarred 'dragon tumbling down the hill.
He inwardly cursed himslef for his foolishness, all trace of his happy-go-lucky smile gone. Suddenly, Storm, trotted down the hill, and say something to the injured would-be-attacker. Still cursing himself, his tail flame fading to a small, purple flame, he followed the mignight-coloured 'dragon down the hill, this time, keeping his guard up, suspicious of the new 'dragon</font>

  10. <font color='#8D38C9'>Akoran hauled himself upright. His vision blurred over; he felt like he had hit his head at some point. He saw, through the blur, the outlines of two 'dragons, one black, one white, standing above him. He staggered backwards a couple of steps, crooked yellowing teeth bared, and hit the ground again as his right foreleg buckled beneath him.</font>

  11. <font color='#810541'>OOC: ohh! Fun thread. This is great! Oh and I'm using bold italics for attempted telepathy. Sound okay?  ... Why are my posts always so long! *sigh*

IC: Storms eyes widened in shock at the dark males actions. His eyes were unfocused and he stumbled around a bit before collapsing to the ground again. In the distance another bolt of lightning flashed and thunder boomed, shaking her eardrums. The center of the storm was coming straight towards them, the wind had shifted...

"Curse it all! This storm isn't helping things at all. We need to get away from here!" She stared at the growling male, most traces of caution thrown into the now howling wind and took a slow step forward. She glanced at Tajar and noticed his tail flame had dimmed again and the happy-go-lucky grin had fallen into a much more masked expression.

"Tajar? Can you heal at all? I'm helpless at it and I think this guy hurt his leg and possibly hit his head in that fall. I wish we knew how far he fell from."

Her mind focused on that of the downed male as she attempted to talk to him telepathically as he didn't seem to be responding to speech. Being female gave her an edge up, but even so her "natural" telepathic abilities were untried and shaky at best. Can you hear me? Your hurt. We want to help.

The storm continued to rumble closer, picking up speed and strength as it came towards the trio.</font>

  12. <font color='#FFFFFF'>OOC: I agree! I'll use italics for Telepathy as well.

"Tajar, can you heal at all? I'm helpless at it and I think this guy hurt his leg and possibly hit his head in that fall. I wish we knew how far he fell from."
Tajar heard Storm say. He looked at the injured 'dragon, his face a mask. He focused his mind, like his warrior father had trained him to do, keeping his emotions in control to focus on the task. He sighed, and concentrated on his body, making it meld into a humanoid version of a pendragon. He knelt down to touch the other pendragon.

A crash of thunder distracted him, he glanced up, and gasped at the black storm, thretening to let all hell loose at any moment. He formed the word for a basic light spell in his mind, and his hand-paws glowed with the light of Fronima Storm... we have to move him somewhere! With the look of the weather, none of us will survive the night!</font>

  13. <font color='#8D38C9'>(OOC: okay, italics for telepathy, bold for speech)

Akoran saw the other 'dragons say something to each other, but he didn't quite hear. A voice crept into the back of his mind. He caught a few words through the thunder and chaotic turmoil of his buzzing brain; can... hear me... hurt... help...
One of them reached out towards him.
He shot back, dragging the damaged leg behind him. "Back!" He cried out. He shook his throbbing head, trying to shake away the pain. "No touch..." He shut his eyes again. Across the years, he felt the careful touch of paws... and then the burning pain of ripping talons. The storm roared overhead. a fresh sheet of rain hammered down, blowing him over again.</font>

  14. <font color='#810541'>Thunder boomed and lightning lit up the sky as rain pored down soaking even the ground underneath the thick pine tree.

Storm saw Tajar shapeshift into one of the ugliest things she had ever seen. He looked part pendragon part... alien. Apparently Tajar was able to heal and for that Storm heaved a sigh of relief. Now maybe they could get to safety! All thoughts paused as the injured male jerked backwards again, and yelled at them to basically back off. She yelled, trying to overcome the howling of the wind with her own voice.

"Tajar! He doesn't understand that we want to help and we cant stay here much longer. This storm doesn't look like its reached it pinnacle yet, nor does it look like its about to subside just for us! We have to move! And quickly!" She hoped Tajar had been able to hear her. If not, he seemed smart and had probably already figured it out himself.

She tried to 'touch' the injured 'dragons mind again, this time she closed her eyes and blocked out the storms noise, slowly enveloping herself in a small black bubble and yelled as loud as her mental voice would go; Stop! We are trying to help! My friend can heal your leg. If he doesn't.... The storm is getting more and more violent. PLEASE! You have to let us help you!

She opened her eyes just in time to see a forked bolt of pure energy hit the tree they had been hiding under. As if it was in slow motion she saw the raw energy running along the giant trees roots. A beautiful and potentially deadly vein of electric blue was heading straight towards them...</font>

  15. <font color='#FDD017'>Tajar winced as more thunder broke, louder this time. He looked into the eyes of the injured 'dragon. One was green, the other an electric blue, not unlike his own. He shifted back into his natural shape, and reached a paw out to the 'dragon. The other 'dragon snarled weakly, and barked for him to get back. Tajar heard Storm shout something, but could not hear over the roaring wind.

He heard a crash of thunder, and the sizzle of electricity. He turned to see a bolt of blue down the tree, and travel across the ground. He barely had time to think, and cast the first spell he thought of, the Shield. A blast of light surrounded the three, just as the bolt hit. Although the shield had prevented him from being killed, Tajar felt himself being shocked and flung backwards into a large rock, and saw the two others fall beside him. He felt himself falling into unconciousness, and as everywhere turned black, he thought 'This is going to hurt when I wake up...'</font>

  16. <font color='#8D38C9'>One of the other 'dragons said something in telepathy. Akoran still didn't hear, but the huge clap of thunder and sizzle of lightning pierced his ears like knives. He saw a fork of lightning race down from the skies and through the tree he had toppled from before.
Suddenly he felt something hot and static run through him. His body arced and juddered horrificaly, his fur standing out on end, spine arched to the point of snapping. He went limp and fell back again, the stench of burnt flesh and fur pervading his nostrils.</font>

  17. <font color='#FDD017'>Tajar's mind went black. In his unconcious state, the subconcious part of his mind took control. He dremt that he was in a room, a large, silent, stone room, that was both peaceful, yet had a hidden menace. Next to him stood Storm, and the other 'dragon, Akoran. Was that his name? His dream-voice said, as he bagan to wake up. Suddenly, there was a bang from the other end of the room, and there was someone in a rage, who shouted "Who are you! How did you get here? Go!" and with this, Tajar woke up.

EDIT:OOC: As no-one know what to do, I'll add!
    Italics for thoughts

BIC: The first thing Tajar noticed was the light. It was very bright, and scalded his bleary eyes. It seemed to be about noon. How long was I out for? The second thing Tajar noticed was the headache, no, migraine. His heaad began pounding as soon as he moved. Uuh... great. Just what I need. A migraine He then checked all of his body parts in turn. All of them seemed fine, fairly bruised, bu intact. His left hind-leg took more damage than his other limbs, as it had taken the full force of the landing. Tajar attempted to stand on his shaking legs, but fell back down, panting. Looks like i'm not going anywhere, just now He looked at his compaignons, who were still out cold. He lay down, and waited for them to wake.</font>

  18. <font color='#810541'>OOC: Heh thanks. Your right, I at least had absolutly no idea what to do with that dream bit... still dont... Umm I'll be gone for up toa week with what will probably be no access to a computer so wait for me please? Or just carry Storm along with you as you go or something.

IC: Storm slowly woke up, every muscle in her body screaming, as the fog clouding her vision slowly cleared.

The Storm had quite clearly past. The sky was blue, a few birds could be heard singing away, and the smell of charred wood... and flesh filled her nostrils. She snorted loudly and looked around. To her left was the black male, who still seemed to be out, and Tajar who although awake was still looking a bit groggy and had a nasty burn on his leg.

She slowly stood up and wobbled towards the other two on shakky legs. Her body shook, not because of the cold, which was quite significant, but rather because she was still in shock. Despite the conditions she grinned widely at Tajar.

"Well... we survived." Her voice cracked and she tried to clear her throat. "How are you holding up. I feel like I was chewed, swallowed and then thrown back up by some sort of huge beast." She looked at the other male and began to make her way over to him, talking as she did. "Do you know if he's okay? He was in pretty rough shape even before we were hit. If we are able we should try to treat his injuries now... before he can object again."</font>

  19. <font color='#FFFFFF'>OOC: Hi guys, just started so im a bit of a newb, hope you don't mind me joining in.

IC: Avius spread his eagle-like wings wide and glided forward, searching the ground left and right for any signs of life. He noticed all the burnt trees as he flew, and his thoughts returned to the night before. So this is where the huge flashes of light came from, he thought to himself.
This must have been a pretty savage storm
Avius said to no-one in particular. He pitied any pendragons who had been caught out here when it struck. The treeline stopped, ending in an open plain.
I must be cautious Avius thought to himself, I am an easy target for any enemies on the ground.
Just then, a Lone Pine came into veiw. It was split straight down the centre, and all the plants and grass within a 30 foot radius was black and singed.
A flash of movement caught his eyes, and lo and behold, 3 'dragons lay on the grass, covered in bruises, and fur singed black. One of the 'dragons, a female with a beautiful midnight blue pelt, got shakily to her feet, and walked slowly and feebly over to the black male still out. She turned and said something to the white 'dragon lying nearby.
Avius slowed himself, and dropped to the ground behind the dragons, folding up his wings and cautiously walked towards the group. He cleared his throat and uttered a single word
    Hi
The female ' dragon looked up and noticed him.
Avius was happy. Maybe he will finally make some friends. He smiled.</font>

  20. <font color='#FDD017'>OOC: Welcome to the thread [IMG]

IC: Tajar's still shocked brain took a few seconds to realise what was going on. "Wha..oh! He stood up on his still shaky legs, and limped forward, dragging his burnt leg. His tail flame, which was pale, and weak grew slightly, as he cautiously said. "Hi...who are you, and what do you want? He was still suspicicious after the black 'dragon had attempted to attack him. He stepped next to Storm, and eyed the newcomer warily.</font>
