And everything was peaceful and still. That is, until a charcoal coated femme came tearing through from the direction of the Vivulvi jungle. A look of fear mixed with tantalizing mischief was evident on her features, and a few emerald locks fell before her eyes. There was the maginificent Magi lake, stretched out in all its glory. And unbeknownst to her, the femme was headed straight towards it's muddy shore. And why did she not see it? How could she fail to realize the massive body of water before her? The answer was simple; she was too busy looking over her shoulder to make sure her prank hadn't caused anyone to follow. By the time she turned back around it was too late. She was sent sprawling head first into the lake, globes wide open with shock before she broke the surface and went under. She was down there for a good 10 minutes before she rose, looking wuite pleased with herself. "Shai mabaj tuf es kynemd.."[/b] She spoke in her native Ramathian, thinking of English as 'unnatural'. Glancing back to the forest one more she determined they wouldn't be after her. A relieved sigh escaped her. With another hasty glance around she registered the fact that she was in the middle of the Magi, and another delighted expression came to her. "Qots leca fham E fut u khelp!"[/b] She spoke out loud, in hopes someone would stumble upon her whereabouts and strike up a conversation. Boredom was quickly setting in. Even her pursuers finding her would give her something to do. It would make her run and amuse her just enough to make the day worthwhile. o o c ;[/b] first post. sorry for the., oddness of it. I haven't really rped in a while..
Reveri was quite happy where he was, back pressed into the jungle floor, stomach exposed to the sun... ah, yes, relaxing in the warmth of sunlight. His eyes were half closed in contentment, ears flicking occasionally to make sure no one was coming. After all, the obsidian male couldn't be seen looking like a lazy bum, now could he? Seeing as he hadn't been in Ramath Lehi long, the former wolf wasn't about to get anyone angry at him just yet. Perhaps some day... but enemies were so tedious to keep track of, and were constantly getting in the way. Naw, friends were certainly better. Of those, he knew for sure, he had only one on this planet. She was more then a friend, of course, his soulsister. Closer to him then anyone ever had been or ever would be, unless his soulmate decided to show herself. Which would probably be never. After all, who wanted to be soulmates with a lazy bum such as Reveri Silvent? Before he could dwell on that thought, however, the pendragon was interrupted with a feminine voice speaking in the native tongue of this land. Lucky thing was, Rev was quick to catch on to new languages, otherwise he would be in a bit of a jam trying to speak with natives who didn't speak English. Blinking rapidly he translated her words. Immedietly, several questions sprung to mind. Who hadn't seen what coming? Hopefully, he wasn't in that group, since the female sounded rather pleased with herself. Of course, since Revvie didn't know her, nor did he think anything had happened to him that would warrant such a gleeful reaction, the male decided he wasn't part of "they". A pretty quick decision, actually, seeing as he was unlikely to be the victim of anyone's attention, when he had no clue who anyone was. Not the Graders, nor the Dragyns, nor anyone else. All he knew about the first two was that the Graders were the leaders here, and the Dragyns had been the alphas. Now they were desposed, and a great deal of that family line were dead. Once more, Rev's drifting thoughts were brought back to the present as more words flitted into his hearing, carried by the fickle wind. A native! Immedietly, he chided himself for having such a foolish thought. Of course she was a native. Very few had traversed more then their own world. He had been through four, now. For very odd reasons that he didn't care to think about. Now that his sunbathing had been interrupted, however, Reveri leapt to his feet, and padded towards the sound, curious about this rather pleased female, and what had given her such glee over someone else's obvious displeasure. Sleek, graceful movements quickly brought the pendragon to Magi Lake. He had already decided what he was going to say, and had translated it mentally for his speech. Now all he had to do was say it. Slight smile tinged his features, semi-amiable, but cautious, in nature. Good natured was Reveri... for the moment, 'neways. "'ully shaja. Hubemd vom?" Oh, yes, so elaborate, his idea of a good greeting.

The sun was high in the sky now, blinding the femme as she happened to glance up. The sudden loss of vision caused her to falter in the water and sink for a moment. Whilst beneath the surface something caught her attention. Could it have been another? Was someone watching her? A spy, perhaps? Kicking hind peds tensely, she surfaced. Cold globes instantly caught sight of the brute. "Fhy uja iyo? Fhus py iyo fums?"[/b] It was hardly a polite response. Realizing this she bit her tongue, hoping he wasn't one of high regard. It would put her in an awkward place to pick a fight with one of the leaders. Slowly, she swam to the opposite bank, making sure she had sight of him at all times. She took a defensive position while still sopping wet, ready to fight or flee; whichever happened to be necessary.
A low chuckle tickled his throat as he listened to her response. Escaping out of his muzzle, accompanied by an amused smile, Rev shook his head. Why she was embarrassed to ask such a natural question was beyond him, even when he had been Beta of a pack, the male would have replied to those questions. Honorable questions, after all, she had hardly snapped at him to get away from her. Which was good, all things considered. He noted that she watched him, which upped his respect for her a notch, since she was wary of his prescense. Not all pendragons were trustworthy, after all, and that proved that she wasn't only bold and outspoken, she was also cautious of her surroundings. Which sometimes wasn't the case. Many bold creatures were also foolishly so. "A name, or a job? To the first, Reveri Silvent. And the second hardly matters. In the ways of this world, I am a nobody, an unknown factor. As for what I want, a conversation? I apologize if I was interrupting something, lady...?" He left space open for her name, seeing as he didn't know it. Whether she gave it or not was really up to her.

A brow jerked up at his sudden change of tongues, taking her time to convert the dialouges before replying. His reply didn't seem sufficient. How could his job be.. 'unimportant', yet seemingly require him to know an array of languages? "I go by Ridalokii Syokum.."[/b] She stopped, pondering whether or not she should answer his question, and if to answer truthfully or not. her maw twitched at the corners at the memory of past tales she had spun. Once again, she took her time with the foreign dialect. "Why, may I ask, is that of importance to you, Reveri Silvent?"[/b] The she 'dragon was not yet eased enough to go by simply first names. Easing herself down to hindquarters, she shook off a bit of the water, watching the drops ripple through the Magi. She found herself falling into another daydream, though she was soon snapped out of it, reverting her attention to the task at hand.
Reveri blushed as he realized that he hadn't spoken in the native language. Ears flitted down, brushing against his head in a silent apology to the other pendragon. He felt like a fool, so fluidly slipping from one language to the other. Now all he had to do was go and shift in Spanish, then the poor female would be truly baffled. After all, it was doubtful that many here knew Spanish, regardless of the fact that many that he had met knew English. Lucky for him, this pendragon also knew English. If she hadn't, of course, she would have simply stated that in Ramathian, and he would have blushed even more and begged her pardon. Good thing that hadn't happened, the poor pendragon still had some lingering pride, after all. Most of it was gone, though, vanished when he left his homeland, completely on accident. Returning to the matter at paw, Rev listened carefully to her words. "A pleasure, thus far, to have met you, Ridalokii Syokum." He wouldn't say he knew what the future of their relationship would be, because he didn't. Who knew if they would be friends, enemies, allies, or none of the above. It all depended on the present, the now. " It could be of importance, it really depends on you, though. I mean, if you want me to get out of here, it probably wouldn't matter t'all. Would you prefer to speak in Ramathian, also, I apologize for switching on you." Rev said, flicking his ears once more in sincere apology.

She couldn't help but smile at his persistant apologies. It came across as.. charming. She blushed as he had. Perhaps he wasn't such a bad guy. "No trouble at all, Reveri.. Silvent."[/b] She winced at the urge to call him as a familiar. She couldn't go soft now. Not after she had made such an effort to seem 'big and bad'. "An' for your information, sir, I was simply chasing off a herd of Korad from my den."[/b] A snort escaped her flared nostrils, once again in an attempt to look powerful. "..they've been stealing my kills for a few days, now, and I couldn't risk them going after me."[/b] An uneasy glance was shot back to the jungle, praying the hostile beasts were far away as she had hoped.
"I'm glad." The response to her comment about his apologies was a somewhat relieved one, since he had truly thought he might have offended. It wasn't the time or the place to find enemies, and Reveri thought that she looked like an ok sort. Perhaps even the type he would like to become friends with. No need to jump to conclusions about the future, however, for the here and now was still rolling on, and to become companions with someone such as she, he would have to prove himself worthy first. Standing there contemplating wasn't the way to do that. Rev tilted his head slightly, thoughts flashing through his mind as he tried to register the proper cretature for the name she had mentioned. It snapped almost instantly as he recalled having seen some of those carnivores ambling about earlier that day. Naturally, he had gotten into a tree when he spotted them, and made sure they didn't see him. Hostile creatures were no fun to mess around with. Nodding slightly, he smiled in amiable sympathy. Not pity, mind you, merely an understanding of what she had said, and why she had uttered her pair of calls earlier. It all made sense, now. Except the child part. He didn't comprehend why a cub would be chasing Korad. Perhaps in response to a taunt or dare? That seemed most likely to him. Unless she was simply a daredevil in the first place. Again, a possibility. "Ah... Korad. Dreadful creatures. Though I thought they were more solitary creatures... a whole herd must be hard to live near. How have you managed?" Rev asked, truly curious.
"Aye.. A herd of 'em is indeed a rare sight. I suppose they haven't been able to get enough food on their own.. Maybe they even kill off the weakest of 'em. You can never be too sure with them.. could be bloody cannibals for all we know!"[/b] Had they been on earth her slight british accent would bring about a bit of mocking from her ramblings, but this was not earth. This was a place far more grand and beautiful, not yet poisoned by an abundance of construction, instead preserved by the Fromina. She grinned as she replyed to his query, a wistful gleam evident in her eyes. "When I was just a child we used to live near their.. watering hole, I geuss you would call it. I would help the rest of the clan chase the devils off. Great days, indeed.."[/b] She trailed off, fearing the emotional moment would break her steel facade.
o o c ;[/b] gah.. mother says I have to get off.. I'll be back in two hours or something, kay? I might be able to get one more post in.. but if not, tootles!
Rev nodded thoughtfully, tail spanking against the ground a single time in his contemplation. Blue-silver eyes flickered to hers, then silently removed themselves from the deadlock that would appear too familiar, more then likely, to the seemingly off standish female. Slight tilt of head suggested an inquisition of some sort, though he didn't mention anything that he wanted an answer to. Still lost in his thoughts, the male snapped back to attention, back into focus, intently watching the female as he listened to her second set of words. A grin quickly spread across his muzzle. The mere thought of being able to do that was exhilirating. Back when he was a pup, he was the chewtoy, the punching bag. Even if he had been on Ramath Lehi, he would never have been allowed to do something so enjoyable. "I'll bet zoologists would, and, perhaps, do, flock here to observe that strange herd. Or I would think so. I mean, it is out of the norm, so it could present valuable information on the topic. Seeing as I'm not one, I wouldn't really know." He said with a jesting smile. "It'd be great to be able to do that... never got to do anything like that in my childhood. Of course, that was another place, and another time." He mused. "Thanks for sharing, though, the mere thought of being able to chase Korad is an awesome one. Must've been loads of fun."

His final comments brought a crooked grin to her face, the usual expression portrayed during her lucid plotting. Non-chalantly, she made her way around the Magi and over to him. Circling him with rather large strides she spoke to him, in Ramathian this time, simply because it was easier. "Fall.. es't mys syy lusa sy sji es.. fa kyolp qots tsjyll ym ybaj emsy shaej djyompt ump fues vyj shan. Sfy gampjudymt kyolp suca 'an ym auti. Hall, fa nedhs tkuja sha fhyla lys yv 'an ty rup shai mabaj kyna rukc. Es't woesa u res yv vom, iyo cmyf."[/b] With that she widened her grin, now fully revealing her pearly whites. She continued circling him anxiously, hoping he would agree with her idea.
Reveri stiffened for a second as she came towards him, since he hadn't been expecting her to stand up and move in his direction. The reactions she had certainly hadn't suggested she warmed up to anyone easily. That meant it was probably deception, and the crooked grin only aided his suspicions, fueled the fires of his wariness. Typically, he smoldered the emotion, keeping it at a reasonable rate. She had given him no reason to disbelieve her, but not to put his trust in her, either. Which made him even more wary. The uncautious were those more easily caught in a trap, and Rev was not among that group. Not a fool, this obsidian-silver male, not in the least. For if he had been, Reveri would not have survived this long in so many different worlds. Actually, he wouldn't have ever gotten to the second, for he would have been murdered during the trials. Relaxing slightly, he watched her circle him, an amused smile on his face as neck turned as far as it could in one direction, then whipped around to the other side to be continuously watching her. Not out of wariness, but out of amusement. It was enjoyable to follow her as she went around and around his form. Her words took him by surprise, and the male blinked rapidly, completely caught unaware in this matter. Tilting his head wistfully in a "are you serious?" sort of way, the pendragon contemplated the idea of chasing hostile and dangerous creatures. Now that was something he hadn't done for a while. They'd have to be careful, of course, those Korad could be dangerous. But what the hell, it'd be fun, right? And he could keep himself safe, and was rather assured that his current companion could also manage to avoid being harmed. Already he felt somewhat comfortable around her, though that idea merely made him more wary. Perhaps she wanted[/i] him to be comfortable. Sighing mentally at his mind's constant rays of warning signals, he grinned in puppish delight, which pretty much summed up his soon to come reply. "Fhus'ja fa fuesem' vyj, sham? Las't py es." Rev said, fire-tipped tail flicking eagerly.

She quirked a brow at his hesitation. Why did he resist his seemingly eager reply? Surely he couldn't be frightened of the Korad? Of course they were violent, but years of chasing had sculpted them into rather timid creatures.. at least the ones in those parts. But never-the-less, she grinned and turned towards the jungle, lifting her forepaw as a pointer dog might. "C'mon!"[/b] The response was in english this time, as the odd femme seemed to enjoy being unpredictable, and what could be more unperdictable than sudden changes of dialect? Well.. there were more unexpected things but.. there weren't many opportunitys at the moment. Peds began to trot off towards the forest, femme glancing back to make sure Reveri was following.
Reveri grinned, allowing his excitement to brim over as she spoke again, pointing with a forepaw in the direction they were going to go. He vaguely noticed that she spoke in English, and the thought caused him to chuckle quietly, shaking his head to remove a stray bladed lock from descending over his eyes. Padded paws carried him agilely after her, his gangly appearance nullified by his sleek and assured movements. Reveri was by no means intimidated, however friendly his ideals and appearance might be, he was not submissive. Not in the least. He hated submission in others, and was not the type to grovel unless there was purpose behind it. More then likely, that'd get him killed one day. Not overly confident, nor proud, he simply wasn't going to bend over backwards for just anyone. Only one could ask him to do pretty much anything, his soulsister. Reveri cleared his thoughts, perplexed as to why Okkie invaded his mind all of the time, forcing him to think of her. She was his sibling, so that was probably why. Only recently refound, a delightful reunion that had been. The thought softened his eyes as he tilted his head slightly, stopping for a second to lift a forepaw and wave at the leading femore as she turned back to check and see if he was still there. Once more returning all paws to the ground, only to step forward once more, he slung his belly low to the ground, a stealthy position, and one that took as much effort as walking. Thus, it was easy to follow, yet it was virtually silent as well. Good when stalking Korad.

She, too, took on an awkward position; head low to the ground while her rear end swayed in mid-air. Gaze was focused on the ground ahead of her, looking for any signs of paw print or perhaps a lock of telltale beige fur. Nostrils flared as she took a whiff of the air, and finding nothing, continued moving forward. Years of tracking experience had nearly perfected her technique, as well as brought in a few hefty kils now and again. But one can only keep prowess to themselves for a limited time, and she yearned to devulge the secrets of the hunt to anyone who wished to watch. {..ybaj haja..}[/u] She swerved to her left after a few feet of examining the underbrush and suddenly stopped; auds pinned straight up. { they're here.. stay still and quiet.. }[/u] She spoke to him through her hardly mastered telepathy, but her message was clear. And, soon enough, two rather emaciated Korads emerged. The irst was of rather tall and slim stature, glaring out from miniscule eye sockets. The other was much smaller, and helpless looking; presumably the child of the first.
Reveri carefully kept his tail still, knowing that if he allowed his emotionally charged thoughts take control, he would lose the chance at chasing the Korad. After all, if his rear appendage swished back and forth, he would warn the animals of his, and his associate's, prescense. Relaxing, he eased quietly after Ridalokii. Noting that she took the same position, he tilted his head slightly, a faint glimmer of amusement glowing in his eyes, though he didn't allow the grin or small chuckle he would have made otherwise. Both could reveal their position, for different reasons. Exposed teeth would force other animals to run in fright, and the chuckle was a noise. 'nough said. Her telepathic words caught him by surprise, and it took immense control for him to keep from starting like a frightened deer. He really had to get used to telepathy. It was so very new for him, however, though he knew how to telepath, and could do it quite efficently. Never the less, it was a new concept, and it took a bit of warming up to. Sending a brisk mental nod her way, knowing she would catch it, with the telepathic abilities he had been told females had here on this world. Settling even closer to the ground, belly almost scraping the earth, he patiently settled near her right flank, waiting for the Korad to appear. His eyes widened at the sight of the child with the female. For a second, thoughts flitted through his mind of worry for the youngster, then he mentally frowned, a bad thought coming to mind. {Where're the others? We don't want to be caught unawares by the rest of the herd...}

A hasty glance was shot around the area, searching for any sign of the other few that inhabited the area. Brow furrowed in confusion. Where were all the others? They always backed up the large femme.. the leader, most likely. The Korad seemed to have formed some sort of matriarch, as most of the ones who loitered the jungle were female. Ridalokii had her eye out for anything that might give clue to the whereabouts of the rest of them. A rustle of leaves and snap of a twig prooved rewarding, and as she swiped a paw across the blanket of leaves covering it a few Korad pups dashed out. This seemed to have angered the large one, who released a terrible bellow and tried to stare down the two 'dragons. Ridalokii simply grinned and looked to her companion. "Ready?"[/b] She poised for a leap, planning to land just close enough to send the Korads running. but not too close. A risk of injury to either her or the hostile creature.
Reveri followed her lead, glancing around in search of the herd of beasts. Perhaps they were elsewhere, hunting? Then again, she wondered why they would leave cubs and a single female alone, if it was a close knit group. It could just be they weren't really all that close, and were merely roaming together for safety's sake. That was more likely, actually, considering the personalities of Korad, from what he had heard. Anti-social, except during breeding season. Then there would be groups of them, males fighting, females searching for the right male to sire their cubs. Ivory teeth were momentarily revealed, then quickly sheathed. Similarlly, retractable claws snapped out of their confinement, digging furrows in the ground in irritation as he caught no sign of the rest. His companion's paw swiping towards as pile of rustling leaves caught his attention, chiseled headpiece swinging around as the pups dashed off. Grinning wildly alongside his associate, the male nodded firmly at her words, watching the bellowing adult Korad as he did so. Rev's hindlegs' muscles bunched up, preparing for a leap that was close to his companion, but not too close and, similarlly, not too close to the Korad. Simply close enough. He didn't wait for her permission to leap, however, and his muscles uncoiled, sprining him forward, and propelling him to his intended destination. Ivory teeth were bared in a vicious snarl, warning the female Korad to run, or be killed. Whether or not he was bluffining was yet to be seen...

She watched with anticipation as he leapt and followed suite behind him. His vicious, nonverbal threat to the Korad caused her to rethink her companion.. but no too much, as she was flinging herself toward the duo of beasts at the moment. Reveri's lunge forced the mother to run, and Riddy's follow-up made her go twice as fast. Th pup, on the other hand, was paralyzed with fear; not making one move, simply staring at the two pendragons who were flailing themselves wildly at his mother. Ridalokii stopped her snarling of threats at the fleeing Korad and turned to the child. Leaning over, she whispered into the ear of Reveri. "What d'you think we should do with it..?"[/b]
