[ooc]Character: Syleika Timestamp: Dyo 8, 81384 Location: Terhesian Port[/ooc] It was a dismal grey day and it looked like rain in the port city where Sy was roaming the back alleys looking for some good hunting she had parted company with Nenek Risust and Ermon some time ago and was still hanging around the back ways in the hope that her mother would return for trade and they could meet for the first time. Syleika was about to shoot a plumb looking critter eating some rubbish when she noticed a shadow above her and in the next instant her breakfast was gone. She was naturally a little slow this morning because it was cold and she could not warm herself well with out the sunshine. Using some foul language she had picked up among her ‘friends’ she angrily turned to investigate the shadow and saw that it was a small pendragon. Sy cocked her head at the stranger wondering what she was doing up there on the ledge of the steel tree-house.
[Ooc] Character: Shelmar Timestamp: Dyo 8, 81384 Location: Terhesian Port[ Shelmar felt good today. She didn’t know why, but it just felt like something really good was about to happen. She had left her home to look for something new for herself. Up on a window ledge looking at something when she saw another dragon in the street. She was curious, so she dropped back down to see what was happening.
Sy lowered her bow and stepped back from the strange little feline like pendragon she did not seem like a threat and even if she was Sy could easily best her in a fight though perhaps not in agility Sy noted the way the girl seemed to spring up again and the height from which she had dropped would have left Sy a little shaken. She knew she should say something to this child and thought of the words Nenek had taught her. H, ello My name Syleika. She pointed at the now empty corner of the alley Food gone you fright Food she tried to keep the anger out of her voice but it was hard as she had not eaten much and the critter had looked like a good meal.
Shelmar was wondering what was going on. She could tel that Syleika was annoyed about something though. All shelmar knew was that Syleika was about to shoot something. “What food? Me see food over there.”
Syleika wondered if this girl was somehow saying she was sorry for kill stealing and wanted to show her where there was more hunting or perhaps she had some shiny’s in her pockets and would take her to a food place. Sy remembered her first ‘food place’ experience the day she met ‘The Team’ and had salmon she longed to eat that food again and her stomach growled. You show where food?
Shelmar had seen a bag outside a shop a few streets away that smelt like it had some nice food in it. She had already found something closer to her home though, so she was interested in other things right now. “You come with Shelmar,” she asked Syleika while pointing to herself. “Me show where food.”
Sy followed the little girl keeping up easily but her bearings were scrambled by the jumping and running and she had to remind herself she was hunting there would be food at the end of this chase.
Shelmar led Sy through the streets back to the shop where she had seen the bag. She wasn’t sure what it was called, but it was a big shop with some seats out the front. It had a lot of pretty things in the windows, so Shelmar thought she might find something nice there. She had seen someone drop the bag as they were rushing off with a lot of other people, so she was pretty sure it would still be there. It was much quieter when they got to the shop, so Shelmar quickly looked around where she had seen the bag before. Yes, it was still there! There was too much in the bag for Shelmar to carry, but she knew there was something else nice in there that she couldn’t reach. Shelmar pointed to the bag and told Sy, “food in there.”, but she stayed near bye, and looked at the other strange thing that she couldn’t reach. .
Food was in the bag? The girl was pointing to it and saying food so Sy rummaged inside it pulling out some cloth and something triangle rapped up inside caught her attention it smelled like fish. Not salmon but fish all the same and she flipped up her tail-blade and cut though the weird covering and pulled open the triangles to get at the fish inside. Sy had never eaten something like this it was strange like most of the food from the tree-house places but it would fill the gapping void in the pit of her stomach there was something else in the bag too some shiny things and balancing the fishy triangles on her tail and one claw she took the shiny things out of the bag and handed one to the little girl it was a fair trade one shiny thing for the triangles of food. Sy pocketed the other shiny and pushed the cloth toward the girl sitting down on the bench to eat the rest of the food.
Shelmar felt happy, but also very strange. The blankets would be nice in her place, but the shiny thing with the picture on it made her think of her parents even more than usual and wonder where they were. Shelmar touched her necklace and stood as if listening, but she couldn’t feel the link today.
Sy watched Shelmar and listened too though she could not hear anything that might suggest danger, even so she thought they ort to make a move away from the open street. We go now? she asked the girl.
