Who: Alamu Wearing: A green shirt and jeans with a white jacket over it. Alamu wandered around campus, idly floating a dozen rocks, a stack of books, and her backpack to practice her telekinesis. She flinched away from everyone who passed by, trying not to lose her concentration. She could easily float one or two things, but with this much stuff she needed undivided attention and focus. She passed by a bench where a 'dragon sat, reading. She cast him a quick glance before continuing her intense focus, continuing to walk. Wait a minute, wasn't that... She turned to looked back, dropping her floating circus. "Averin?"
Averin heard his name and gave a quick glance up and saw Alamu. “Alamu? I didn’t expect you to be here." Averin closed the book and walked over to her with a smile on his face. “So… uh… How are you doing Alamu?"
Alamu bent to pick up the books, putting them in her backpack before she turned back to Averin. "I'm doing good. I've been reaserching my family a lot lately. Just in case any of them are still alive." Alamu smiled at Averin. "So how have you been?"
Averin gave a smile again. “I’ve been doing well after the instant." Averin gave silent laugh and continued. “I to was doing research, I’ve got a message last week and I wanted to see if my hope could come true." Averin bent down and helped Alamu with her stuff.
"Thanks." Alamu smiled. "I found out I had a few family members, scattered around for the most part. I've gone to see a few of them." She put the last book away and zipped it up, smiling brightly.
“No problem," Averin blushed for a second. “Well… that’s good to hear. Oh, I forgot." Averin went and grabbed his stuff and came back then he gave Alamu a present. “I wanted to give you that." After he said that he blushed a little more.
"Thanks." Alamu took the present, turning it over in her paws. She noticed his blush and smiled, tilting her head a little. "What's wrong?"
Averin nodded his head when she took it. “Uh… nothing, just…" Before Averin could realize it, he couldn’t come up with something to reply.
Alamu studied him before turning back to the present, carefully unwrapping it. "What is this?" She asked, turning back to Averin.
Averin smiled. “Well, it’s a good memory or a bad one… but I thought you might want it, since it does belong to you. It’s your aunt’s family pendant. I found it when I was looking around in Chrysalis Cannon." Averin sat down and looked up at the sky.
Alamu looked down at the beautifully carved pendant, tears in her eyes. It was shaped like a tear drop, the faucets of it changing colors in the shifting light. She unclasped it, reaching around to put it on as the tears started to fall.
Averin looked towards her. “Here let me help." He clasped it and he looked at her in the eyes, he held his hand up towards one of her tears and said. “Don’t be sad, you know I don’t like it when you’re sad." He looked off to the side then back at Alamu. “I know it’s sad to lose a relative, but your aunt isn’t completely gone…"
Alamu looked up at Averin, surprised. "No! No, I'm not sad, Averin." She smiled, hugging him tightly. "I've been looking for this necklace! I'm happy I finally have it." She wiped her tears away, still smiling.
Averin felt sad when he answered with the wrong crying mode. “Well, I glad that I… found it for you. All I want is you to be safe and happy." He hugged her back and smiled at her.
Alamu shifted so she was sitting on the grass beside him. She looked up at the sky for a moment, eyes swirling gently as she became lost in thought.
Averin looked up at the beautiful sky. Why? Why must I keep five secrets from Alamu? Averin slow set his gaze on Alamu and smiled.
Alamu continued to gaze at the blue sky, feeling the wind tug softly at her fur. It's such a beautiful day...why do I feel like this is all wrong? She wondered.
