OOC: I would like Odessi to be the first to reply, but any one extra player after that is welcome. :)

IC: Blyss dropped her muzzle onto her carelessly outstretched arms. Her form stretched slightly over three quarters of the neatly dressed bed she lay on in the room labeled ‘0204’. Only several hours ago had she been deposited at the dormitory by her brother’s servants and already she had sealed herself up in solitude. The exploration, excitement and mischief that used to make traveling so much fun was now stuffed far back into the dusty corners of her early childhood, hidden so well that even the hustle and bustle of the academy didn’t even raise a sparkle in her eyes. She was tainted- poisoned in a way that left her an utmost disgrace to her lineage. Blyss’ once unflawed appearance that made her so particular was now stained cyan and deep pinks and purples. Why the exotic hues had surfaced was a mystery, but could no longer go ignored in the Lightfellow household. A painful decision was reached by the leaders of the household to dismiss Blyss for the time being and place her in the academy. Outward it had been a gracious decision, as it was only the Lightfellow males that were allowed to refine their education to such an extent, but inwardly the unrest that was caused by Blyss’ transformation from the purest of whites to a rainbow of colour became a dire situation.

She slowly cast her eyes across the simple little room. There was matching beds, drawers, desks and basic closets indicating that the room was set up for two individuals. Blyss had taken the time already though to make several adjustments to the original setup, creating an unspoken but certain separation between her living space and the living space of her roommate who had yet to show face. It didnÂ’t matter; she would want nothing to do with them anyhow. Blyss was sick of the odd looks and innocent yet increasingly irritating questions about who she was and why she was here. Her mind left a blank, she flicked her tail lazily in the dusty sunlight that shimmered through the window and lowered her eyelids as if she were going to nap.

  2. It would not be long before the few moments of privacy would come to an end. The doorknob turned, clicking quietly as it allowed the door to slowly swing open on its old, rusty hinges. In stumbled a rather flustered Odessi, grumbling as he hauled his heavy bags in, slung over his shoulder and dragging on the floor behind him. With a loud sigh and an obnoxious crash, he fell over in the doorway, staring up at the ceiling and sighing in a rather relieved manner. He looked around - the whole room was done over rather quaintly with matching everything for both roomies - however, he couldn't tell where exactly his roommate was. He had suspected that she would be spending much time in the room, since he had heard she was the rather quiet type, so he had not expected her to be out. Classes, perhaps? A quick turn of the head revealed her presence to him, however, and he took a few good moments to get accquainted with her features, special attention paid to their odd familiarity.

Why do I feel like I know her...?

Perhaps it had just been a dream he had seen her in for she was, in his eyes, at least, a vision of pure beauty, delicately furred and lithe in form. He rose to his feet clumsily and took a small bow, "Greetings, there. I'm Odessi, and you might be?" He extended a paw, padding over to her side of the room and smiling warmly at her, "You know, for some reason I feel as if I've met you before... did we have a class together, perhaps?" The only memory of that face he could conjure up was years before; too surreal to be a memory but quite too real to be a dream...

  3. The sound of the door swinging uneasily open caused BlyssÂ’ eyes to snap open and back into focus. Her body remained still and unmoving however, until the stranger had fully entered the room in a most unceremonious manner. Bringing her head off of itÂ’s rest she glared scathingly at the male who seemed thus far to be lacking all proper conduct. Not only had he just thrown himself into the room unannounced, but he seemed to be making himself at home in the place rather quickly. Blyss couldnÂ’t conceive that he could possibly be her roommate- she was sure that coed arrangements would be taboo for first year students such as herself. Perhaps he had just lost his way, or in an induced stupor had stumbled into the wrong room.

She hesitated for a notable time before she offered him her paw in a hallow greeting. “I can assure you that we’ve never met before, Odessi." Nor do I have any intention to get to know him, she spat silently. “Forgive me, I’m Blyss of the Lightfellow house. Now if you don’t mind I have things to do, so if you’ll kindly excuse yourself… I’m sure that my roommate will be along any time now." She locked her look upon him and his bags, her expression motioning him to the door.

  4. Odessi chuckled quietly - "Excuse me, I'm not laughing at you... it's just... this is my room. I've lived here for a year or two now. Sometimes they partner up new students with returning students... you know... to make it easier for them to get to know people." He stopped, glancing akwardly at the oddly familiar character.

"Lightfellow... Blyss Lightfellow?" He took a seat on a chair propped neatly up against the wall. "...Odd, this chair's usually closer to the center of the room. New layouts, I s'pose. For the sake of efficiency... the farther from distraction..." He shuffled forward slightly and leaned up to Blyss, assessing her with a quick look-over. "I knew a Blyss Lightfellow once, though I doubt you could be the same one. There was something about her fur... something spectacular about it that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It was the coloration... or lack thereof. It was so pristine... I rather liked that Blyss Lightfellow. In fact, you're making me wonder what became of her. Our meeting was rather brief and somewhat tragic though I can recall finding myself..." - he trailed off. He began moving his things from his bags and in to his closets and drawers, looking over his shoulder and talking at the same time. "So you're a first year, eh? You'll love it here, guaranteed. It's a fun place. Need anything? Just ask me, y'hear?" He smiled warmly at her and then went silent, continuing to, almost mechanically, stuff his drawers and closet full of clothing and assorted personal items.

  5. Blyss watched Odessi with a sternly sculpted face as it became clear that this annoyingly exuberant male was her roommate. Her attention was focused mainly on the invisible line between his half of the room and hers, expecting him to cross it at any moment. When he finally ceased his first round of babble and seated himself to face her, it seemed as though sheÂ’d have to exchange conversation as there was no convenient escape.

The light aqua pendragon pushed herself into a sitting position, wrapping the long sleeves of her shirt closer to her arms and adjusting the simple black scarf matting her hair back. Legs folded in front of her, Blyss listened to his account with disbelief that just nearly broke her detached expression. How had she failed to recognize him from the beginning? After all, it was he who first gave her heart the sweet taste of freedom, even if only for a moment. With the most memorable sequences of their first encounter playing through her mind, she couldn’t help but utter a quick ‘he-eh’. By then she had picked up a book from beside her on the bed and began to flip aimlessly through it, making it appear as though she wasn’t all that impressed.

“Sounds steamy… Was she good? I bet she handled your enormous manhood like no other, but when it came to your equally tall tales… I mean, what makes you think that I’d believe that you ever kept the company of a Lightfellow?" Blyss blinked as though she had been stunned by the full swing of a bat, realizing that not only had she just humiliated herself beyond all conceivability, but she had just insulted the individual she had been secretly infatuated with for years now. She could feel the rush of warm blood crawling up her neck and into her face and she felt like shrinking back into the wall. She didn’t know that when she picked up the book she was using to hide her face that she had uncovered several miscellaneous registration forms along with her identification card which clearly stated her name and credentials. What have I done!? She cried out desperately in her mind.

  6. Odessi blinked. He knew not what to make of the outburst. To say the least it was unexpected; and otherwise downright rude. He couldn't comprehend what would have brought forth such an outrage from the she-'dragon. Did I say something wrong...? "It wasn't in that sense at all, my dear Blyss..." he stammered akwardly for the right wording, "We were far too young. I had such a great respect for her; for her beauty, for her elegance, for her grace and intelligence. Yet I never got to know her well enough. We spoke for but a short time, and that short time was nowhere near sufficient to even scrape the surface of her personality..." He frowned. "I'd rather like to find her again one day. I felt as if there could one day have been more between us. I've thought of her a lot..."

He shrugged. "Obviously this subject rubs you the wrong way somehow. So, may I ask you to tell me about yourself? Perhaps it would benefit me to know you better so I don't offend you so in the future..."

  7. Blyss’ thoughts were racing by at such a speed that she thought her head would explode. She couldn’t help but feel ugly upon his first description of her younger self, and the feeling was quickly augmented as he described her again. She could swear she felt her heart pinching inward- shrinking smaller and smaller as she heard yet again of the individual she was once upon a time. “I’m sorry, that was uncalled for… You should probably forget about the Blyss you once knew, for she’s stained and fruitless now. Even her own family shunned her away. She is of such a far less romantic condition these days, you’d be highly disappointed." Of course this was true, she thought. She was practically right under his nose and with a name so blatantly distinct her appearance must have blinded all his senses.

“Sorry, I don’t get out much. My nerves are a little fried from the commotion of getting here; it’s the first time I’ve been away from home without company." Blyss bowed her head politely while lowering her ears akimbo. “I hope you’ll excuse my outburst..." She glanced up at Odessi with her pearl white eyes. “It’s been awhile, you wouldn’t happen to have my earring still do you? My brother was infuriated when he found I had misplaced it, you know."

  8. Odessi frowned. "No, I don't. Not with me... it's at home. I used to keep it with me every day, but I gave up hope on ever fiiiiiiiii..."

    Wait.

    Rewind.

His mind suddenly shifted in to overdrive - this was her - sitting right before him, all this time, was that girl from so long ago - the one he had for so long wished to see once again. He could see it now - though her fur had now changed color; her fair features remained intact. The events of years past came rushing back to him at once and suddenly, all the pieces of the puzzle came together - "You... you are..." He slid across the room, falling on his knees before her in the haste of the action and grasped desperately for the words that could not come to his lips. "You... you know how long I've searched for you?" A bewildered smile crossed his face, "And as luck would have it..." He reached out and gently took her hand, raising it to his lips and placing a gentle kiss on it. "It's not my habit to be so formal but as I recall, you are royalty. Only makes sense to treat you with the respect you rightfully deserve."

  9. Blyss cocked her head to the side and grinned as what she said finally dawned on Odessi. Unsure at first if it was the right idea, she was now glad that she was able to break the ice. She retracted a bit when he presented her with the prince charming drama and let him take her hand for a moment. Somehow, it seems their roles had reversed- whereas she used to be the fair and gracious one, he had now taken up the act and left her callused. With a curt laugh she propped her foot against his shoulder and shoved him slightly backwards. “Get off of your knees, I’m not royalty- just a whore, inbred to the point of sporadic mutation. But you know what? I’m sick of being ashamed. Why should I be, I mean, no one’s watching…"

Blyss leaned forward quickly, positioning one elbow on the edge of the bed and reaching out with her other arm to grab Odessi’s muzzle from underneath. Pulling her face close to his, she urged for him to stand. “Where have you been all these years?"

  10. Odessi grinned coyly, leaning forward and pressing his lips gently to hers, "I've been... around." He, of course, had been spending a majority of his time in the academy and moving on with his life. However, he had never forgotten their encounter. Every moment of the day, it burned in the back of his mind, painful as an open wound - he had needed to see her again. Now, thanks to fate, he was once again face-to-face with the source of his infatuation and had never felt quite so happy before in his life. He placed another gentle kiss upon her lips, paw sneaking up behind her cranium to gently nudge her closer to him, wanting no unnecessary space between their two forms. "You know I've often dreamed of meeting you again. Though I never knew you well enough... You did something to affect me so." He smiled warmly at her, running his paw slowly through her pendragon-mane-sorta-thing (so sue me.) "I can't put words to what I feel."

  11. Blyss opened her mouth just barely to receive Odessi’s kiss. It had been so long since she had last been touched in such a way- either for pure sexual desire or a simple caring gesture. As the old saying went, ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’, she felt the rush of excitement pour over her body for the first time in forever. On second thought, his purpose hadn’t changed one bit, though she had to give him credit for his improvement in composition. Retracing his subtle suggestive injections from their first meeting on Ajita, she had plenty of time to figure out that he had looked upon her in somewhat of a desire before, and now he was going at it again but in a much more eloquent manner. The touch of his paw behind her neck sent a pleasant shiver up her spine, causing her fur to bristle.

For the moment though, she couldn’t decide weather his response to her was physical or if there was a possible underlying emotional contribution. Not that she minded terribly in the short-term; she wouldn’t mind the bodily satisfaction that she was sure she could obtain from Odessi if she really wanted. How would it settle in the long-term was an interesting query however, and this kept her mindful of his advancements. Trailing her claws down the front of his throat, Blyss ran her pale pink tongue along the crease of his maw only letting the very tip of her nose brush his. “So do you forgive me?"

  12. Odessi smirked playfully, "Forgive you for what?" He touched her cheek gently with a paw and smiled. "Forgive you for bringing back in to my life the one thing I have desired for so many years since we've first met? Forgive you for reintroducing me to this strange rush of emotions I've searched for for so long yet haven't attained until now? There's nothing to forgive. And were there to be anything, you're already forgiven. I'm merely hoping you can do the same for me; whatever it is I had done to cross you can hopefully be forgiven." He nipped her ear gently and moved from his spot on the floor to one sitting atop the mattress with her, gently tugging her by her arms in to his lap and wrapping his own arms tightly about her waist. "So many nights I've dreamed of doing just this..." He nipped her ear gently and then moved to place gentle kisses down her cheek and neck to her collarbone, feral rumble not quite different from a purr bubbling from somewhere deep in his chest.

  13. Blyss almost couldnÂ’t believe what she was hearing. Although it was a moment that many girls often daydreamed of, to actually have the words be said to her face made her anxious. There was no doubt that she felt something for him, but there was something that was off kilter with pace at which he moved in relation to his speech. She tried to repress the notion behind the veil of her soft face and allowed herself to be taken onto his lap- even letting him go so far as to venture down her neck unhindered. In the meantime, Blyss invited herself to stroke the smooth fur just under his left ear, her smile spreading ever further as his mouth reached her collarbone.

It was not until the faintest treble reached hear ear, the unmistakable sound of contentment that escaped Odessi’s throat on each breath, that she pulled away slightly. That sound she had heard before from only one other creature- Paxun, her avowed lover and lord. It was he, after all, that was the most reluctant to give her up and even promised her sweet compensations for her departure. As much as she despised his tyrant ways, she was not about to forget him even in the heat of this moment. “You know, I… forgot I had to meet someone… right about now. I don’t want to leave a bad impression if I’m late, so I should be going." She slid off of his lap, as welcoming as it was, and stood to grab her long, black coat which was draped over the far edge of the bed. “Nice seeing you!" Blyss made a move for the door, having no actual idea of where she would go once she left the room, but as long as she could escape the rising heat in Odessi’s company for just a few minutes maybe she could sort things through.

  14. Odessi shook his head in sudden surprise and cast a long glance at Blyss as she took her rather hurried leave. There was no meeting; it was quite obvious. Something was wrong yet he was not sure what it was. Had he moved too quickly? It seemed only instinctual to take the course he had taken, and the affection he had shown felt, at least to him, only natural. It was, after all, what he thought was the truest sort of feelings that he had for her. Something told him that she did not feel the same, however. He rose to his feet akwardly and moved the short distance to where she was standing, placing a paw on her shoulder gently and turning her around in place. "Blyss... whatever you're thinking right now... there's no reason to run from me. I know you have nowhere to be; not to offend but the excuse was rather weak. I need to know what's wrong. Why the sudden change... what did I do?" He wrapped his arms around her once more in a gentle embrace, quickly retracting from it as to not allow the what seemed quite offensive act of physical contact to continue any further. "If you doubt the sincerity of my feelings I can assure you I mean well. Just don't leave me now. I've been without you so long and I don't know if I can bear any longer knowing you're here now."

  15. Blyss turned to face him quite easily and let herself be held for an instant to hear Odessi out. She knew he didn’t mean to harm her and somehow she doubted that he was looking to take advantage of her. He could have had his chance already on several occasions in only the past ten or so minutes, but he made no aggressive advancement at all. But Blyss still shook her head and loosened his soft hold on her body. “This just isn’t a good time for these sorts of games. I’ve hardly seen you for more then the few blinks of an eye… and I don’t think that hardly calls for you to marinate me in feverous passion."

“I know almost nothing about you, and I don’t think you know but a drop in the bucket about me. I’ve come to realize that love only skin deep just doesn’t fly very far." She averted her eyes, but smiled warmly. Even she couldn’t decide if that smile was of pain or apology, but Blyss knew that somewhere in it was a little hope for the future. “Not that we couldn’t ever-" The sound of her tail swishing against the surface of the door behind her almost made her choke on what was to follow, “-try and make something from what once was."
