Pendzez stood in front of the door, getting the key to open it. He inserted the key and turned it, then the door opened. He walked and asked out, "Flayra, you back yet?" ________ Flayra Zazkex Pink shirt and blue pants with flowers on the side. With her ears pointing up, a young pendragon walked out of a room with a book about plants. Flayra replied in a calm voice, "Hello, brother." She turned to the female 'dragon that was with Pendzez, "Who's you friend?"
Jynx smiled at her, eyes shining. "<span style='color:blue'>Hi. I'm Jynx.</span>" She looked around the dorm before returning her attention to the girl in front of her.
Pendzez stood between them, "Jynx, this is my sister, Flayra, and Flayra, this is my....arr...this is Jynx, sorry." He blushed. ______ Flayra bowed to Jynx and said, "Nice to meet you." She looked at Pendzez then back at Jynx. "Are you two in love with eacth other?"
Jynx felt the fur on the back of her neck stand up before she blushed. "<span style='color:blue'>Um...I guess you could say that...</span>" She said hesitantly, studying Flayra before sneaking a glance at Pendzez. Seeing the blush, she looked down, shifting uncomfortably.
Pendzez said to Jynx, "It's ok to admit it. She had a love aswell. His name was umm..." He tried to think of the young males name that liked his sister. ____ "His name was Jutwras Brytzex. I really liked him but we were separated when my parents died. We came to Janardan and never saw each other since. However, we still communicate through mail." She explained to Jynx in a calm, yet a sad voice. She brought a tear to her eyes because of memories.
"<span style='color:blue'>I'm sorry.</span>" Jynx felt her gut twist as she watched Flayra's eyes fill with tears. "<span style='color:blue'>At least you still get to talk to him, right?</span>" She smiled, still shifting nervously.
Flayra wiped the tears off her eyes and smiled, "Yeah, he even gave me this hair clip. Isn't it nice?" She walked to Jynx to show her the clip.
Jynx crouched down, studying the hair clip. "<span style='color:blue'>Wow! That's beautiful.</span>" Jynx said, smiling at Flayra.
Flayra smiled back, "Thanks." She pulled away and went to put her books down. She walked to the table and lightly rested her books on it. She turned back to Jynx then look at her brother. "Was there any letters?" ______ Pendzez turned to face Flayra, "Arr, yes there was actually. Um...one for you and two for me." He handed Flayra the letter in a red envelope that was meant for her. "I wonder who sent it," he said in a curious voice. Seeing her walking into her room, Pendzez turned to Jynx, "It's from him, he sends them in red envelopes." He turned to the bedroom door then back to Jynx, "Oh, do you want to stay the night?"
"<span style='color:blue'>Um...sure.</span>" She said, wathing Flayra walk away. She turned back to Pendzez, smiling as she shrugged off her backpack. "<span style='color:blue'>Do you know where I can send this?</span>" She asked, pulling out her own letter. "<span style='color:blue'>I need to get a message to my brother.</span>"
"Umm, yes. The office you saw when we walked in had an 'Out Box'. Just put your letter in there and they'll send it. It's easy." He smiled at Jynx, watching her holding the letter. _______ Flayra walked into her room with the red envelope in hand and sat on her bed. She slowly opened it and pulled out the white paper that was inside. "Let's see what he wrote to me." She read each line carefully: <span style='color:gray'>Mia 81380 48 Dear Flayra, Hi, Flayra. I hope you are well. Anything exciting happen yet, besides this letter. I've been ok. I had to help my Dad herd in the fauna, had to help my Mum with the cooking, and had to help my brother reorganize his potions and spellbooks. So nothing much here has happened here in Chafuo, besides from people coming to the resort here. I wish I could see you again. I wish I can go to Janardan but Mum and Dad can't afford it. The days feel like they're getting longer, same with the quarters. Hope you come to visit soon. Love, Jutwras Brytzex</span> Reading the letter almost made her cry, but she had a couple of tears. "He's really sweet."
Jynx smiled. "<span style='color:blue'>Thanks. I'll be right back...if I don't get lost.</span>" She laughed before turning and walking out the door, moving quickly through the halls down to the office. _____________________ (In the dorm as Jynx leaves) Her backpack fell onto it's side and a tiny slip of paper fell out. It looked like it had been ripped from the bottom of a pice of paper. <span style='color:blue'>E'n ty tyjji, Amaroq, ros E kum's py shet uminyja. E hyga E taa iyo uduem tynapui.</span>
Pendzez to Flayra's room door, but noticed a piece of paper on the floor next to Jynx's bag. "Huh, what's this?" He picked up the paper and it stated these words: <span style='color:gray'>E'n ty tyjji, Amaroq, ros E kum's py shet uminyja. E hyga E taa iyo uduem tynapui.</span> "I wonder what it says?" he asked himself. He called to Flayra. "Flayra, can you decipher this?" He walked into Flayra's room and handed her the piece of paper. __________ Flayra put down the letter when Pendzez entered her room. She look at the words and said, "It says: 'I'm so sorry, Amaroq, but I can't do this anymore. I hope I see you again someday.'" She handed the paper back to her brother and saw him walk out.
Jynx wrote Amaroq's name on the envelope, slipping it into the Out Box before turning and walking back to Pendzez's dorm, distracted.
"I'm so sorry, Amaroq, but I can't do this anymore. I hope I see you again someday?" He wondered why Jynx would write this. "Why did she write this?" Then the door opened and Jynx walked in. Pendzez lifted the paper up and asked, "What's this?"
Jynx looked up, ears perked, and saw the paper in his hand. <span style='color:blue'>Oh, no.</span> She thought, looking up at Pendzez. "<span style='color:blue'>Um...that's...it's part of my letter to my brother.</span>" She admitted, looking down. <span style='color:blue'>I can't believe this...he's going to be so sad...</span>
"You're running away from him, aren't you?" He put is left hand on his left side of his hip. "Why" He looked at her in a curious, yet odd look.
She nodded a little, glancing up at him. "<span style='color:blue'>I just...I got sick of being alone all the time. He was never home, and when he was he was asleep. I needed a friend.</span>" She gave him a pained smile, averting her eyes. "<span style='color:blue'>No one goes to the desert anymore, so I had to go out and find friends. I haven't made any yet.</span>" Jynx sat on the floor where she stood, curling her legs up to her chest. "<span style='color:blue'>I never knew about Janardan. I figured I'd try here, and if I still didn't find any friends, I'd go home and he'd never know. I sent the letter when I was sure you were at least my friend now, if not more.</span>" She looked up, hesitant now. "<span style='color:blue'>I tore that part off because I didn't want to worry him.</span>"
Pendzez knelted down and put his right hand on her right shoulder, "But Jynx, he's your brother. You can't run away from the only family you have." He got on his knees and held her close to him.
"<span style='color:blue'>He ran away.</span>" She mumbled, clinging to him as the tears started to fall. "<span style='color:blue'>And its not like I'm never going back. I'm just...not going to sit there and wait for him to come home anymore. I have my own life to live. Am I doing a bad thing?</span>" She asked. "<span style='color:blue'>I'm a horrible person, aren't I? He's going to be so sad.</span>" She burried her face deeper into his shoulder.
