A Friend at Sea...

Dyya noticed the shape above the water. She rose from the water, her pale green skin taking in the sun. She looked at the fem who stood before her. She was half mer-dragon, she could already tell. Dyya put her hand to her head and teleported in front of the pendragon. "What brings you here to Kaushal?" she asked. It was her duty to make sure the ocean was safe, and no one discovered the secrets of Ramath-lehi.

 

She smiled. "Dyya, Gaurdian of the Ramathian waters, protecter of the ancient city of Kaushal" she said. That is why I must come up to everyone who approaches my waters she said telepathicly. Her back fins twitched. "As for the best swiming spots, they are around there" she said pointing. She arched her back and dived in. "See you around"

 

She smiled. Always a pleasure helping tourists. But they must never find Kaushal, for the secrets of Ramath-Lehi lie withen, which not even the mer-dragons have read. She swam gracefully underwater, untill something caught her eye. Sea-weed. Great, she had been hungry for quite some time. She bent over and grabbed some, eating it in one bite. Sigh, I remember what mother used to say, sea-weed is good for the mer-dragons bones, teeth and vision...so eat it everyday...and we did...I used to get sick of it, specially it's rubbery feel when it goes down your throat.... She looked around. The sea-weed hadn't satisfied her yet. She saw some water cucumbers growing along the sides of a jagged rock and ate a few. Finally she wasn't hungry anymore. She swam over to a small sunken boat, well the remains of the FIRESTORM. That pathetic commander was dead now, he deserved it too. She sat down, taking a moments rest.

 

I better head back to Kaushal, father will kill me if i'm late for our "kelp weed" feast...oh no! I am late! She looked to the side. The girl, Nudek was still there. Then she remembered; I need a guest! Damn! Nyym was always my guest but she left! She looked at the girl, who was part mer-dragon. She will work!. Dyya went to the bottem of the rock she was sitting on and picked up some gill weed. She rushed up to the girl. "Here! Eat this and come with me!".

 

"It'll make you breath under water for two hours, eat it and come with me, I will show you Kaushal" she said. It was more than that. She didn't wan't to get in trouble and she new Gill Weed transformed part mer-dragons into full ones for two hours as well.

She smiled. "You'll be like that for two hours". She took the girl's hand and led her down to a cave. Two giant mer-dragons stood there with large axes. She spoke to them in what seemed to be mer-dragon, about how this was her guest. They looked at her for a second, questioned her about using gilly-weed (there was a stash of it undernieth a rock from some robbers of the royal potions cabnet) and then let her pass. Welcome Dyya and Guest of the royal city of Kaushal.... The giant gate behind them opened. Inside was a city of mer-dragons. Houses, castles, monuments, shops, mountains, ponds of sludge, everything! It was just like a city anywhere in Ramath-lehi, except somehow different. It was much bigger than any other city. This was the entire Kaushal ocean, or well undernieth it. Dyya smiled at the guards and thanked them. She grabbed the girl by the hand and led her to the biggest castle of them all. It appeared to be made of pearls and other gems. 2 guards stood outside, she talked to them for a second then led the girl inside. Maids cleaned away happily at the 75 room mansion. She came into the dinning hall. A large (and I mean large) mer-dragon sat at the head of the table, kelp on his plate. Two gaurds stood by him, just like the ones outside. 4 other mer-dragons sat on the sides of the table. Sir Caay, her first cousin and his wife Naae. On the other side Lyyn, her aunt, and her husband Sir Belyn.<span style='color:blue'> "Dyya, you are late, please take a seat, you and your guest"</span> the large pendragon muttered. "Yes father" Dyya replied.

 

Yes. Just be yourself, the royal mer-dragon family does have some eating rules though. Even if you think the food tastes bad, eat it and complement the chef. Always say thank you when someone passes you something. Oh and do not get up before everyone is finished. That is all. . She smiled. Good luck. Dyya looked at her father. "So what is in the news above?" she asked taking a bite of kelp and flinching at the awful taste.<span style='color:blue'>"Well, the guards ssspotted eh boat yesterday, carrying mer-dragonsss, kidnapped for millitary reasons...ssso we sssent a sssquad of fightersss teh kill the bastardsss"</span> he said. <span style='color:blue'>"Oh and sorry Nudek but my english is bad, bear with me"</span> he said smiling. Her father was a seer, able of telepathy, telekenises, cryokenises and electrokenises. He had passed down these traits to Dyya and her sister Nyym.

 

Dyya smiled as Nudek took a bite of the Kelp Weed. Nasty stuff it was.

 

Dyya smiled as she finished hers. Everyone seemed to be finished.<span style='color:blue'> "Well asss teh feassst issss over we must be upssset tdat sssome of ussss could not attend the ceremony, now we sssshall make our way over to the royal kelp yard"</span> he said. Dyya told Nudek to follow. She thought spoke to Nudek on the way there;
Hahaha, my brother Kaei never shows up at this feast and neither does Raay, my second cousin... They arrived at a clean field of kelp. Hundreads of mer-dragons bowed and cheered as the king of Kaushal came outside, followed by the rest.
