Work had been getting short, so short that one must find new sources of income. How could things have gotten this bad Sarunus asked himself, Walking by all the stalls and shops that doted the street. As the number of contracts got fewer and fewer so did his earnings. He had tried many things gambling, gangs, even selling counterfeit goods. None of it worked he even had to sell his top of the line small arms just so he could pay to downgrade to cheaper weapons. With the need for more pocket change he had to find a odd job... or a victim.

  2. Clothing: see character profile

His fingers idly flipped through the pages of the ancient book as he walked through the crowds of people. He Payed no mind to the brushing and rumbling of those around him, as he instinctively made his way down the street. His mind was totally absorbed in the words on the page, absorbing every sentence, every letter, every fragment of information into his mind. His cloak hood hung round his head, shielding the pages and himself him from the days sun.

Today he thought to himself as yet another person bumped into him,Today. He flipped the book shut and hid it back under his cloak. it was risky having it out in the open. This book was valuable. an archive of ancient of demon knowledge, that eluded to something even more ancient. Many a 'dragon would give their families to be able to access the fruits of knowledge this book provided. it was not the book itself though, that made it valuable. but what it lead to. This tomb, was a map. a map to a most powerful relic. It could make a man rich beyond his wildest dreams, or sweep a plague across the land, all depending on what the wearer desired. Practitioners of his kind considered the thing a myth. But he had found it...well he would anyways.

He reached into one of his many pouches and twirled a gold coin between his fingers. simple enough a coin it seemed, but with a bit of magic, revealed itself to be a key. he continued to let the coin dance in his hand when it hit him like a brick wall. He clutched the coin tightly in his hand as he stumbled to the ground. White flashes began to make the crowd around him dim. Barely even conscious on his surrounding, he scrambled his way to a nearby alley. he could feel the hot white begin to glaze over the glowing gold in his eyes, just as he pulled himself around the corner; safe, from the peoples eyes.

The vision took over. He felt the familiar numbness wash over him as the flashes of colors became defined. gold, reds, greens...gems of some sort, a ring twirled on someones finger, blue jeans, and then blackness.

  3. Boredom begin to set in, most of the 'dragons looked pretty broke. The stores had nothing of valuable on display so shop lifting would not be profitable. He caught a glimpse of some 'dragons playing some kind of game, betting for some worthless junk not even worth the effort to cheat them out of.

He stood near the entrance of an ally way closing his eyes, thinking about what this place was missing. Why is it that im hear in the ass of Ramath-lehi instead of a place that has some real cash he thought to himself. what ever happened to all the, action all the money, all the fun He keep saying in his own mind. Opening his eyes he realized that things still sucked, same poor 'dragons, same crappy merchants, and same old black market.

leaning against the wall he saw a rather strange sight. There was a 'dragon that looked very strange for someone in this area. He had on a strange looking cloak that seemed very old, and his hands looked skeleton like as they moved the pages of the book he was reading. Strangely enough he went into the ally way Sarunus was next to. As the 'dragon was walking he twirled around some gold coin and fell the the ground. Confused Sarunus slowly approached the stranger that was on the ground. Bending down to see who he was and more importantly if what he was carrying had any value.

  4. His eyes shot open, though not conscious. "a ring of dark, a man of greed, wealth and power and things unseen. Man of dark but knowledge wise, has much safer plans devised. fortune, fame, or demons bane, one with strength, one with wealth. its doubtful this feud will end in health! but the safest choice that can surmise," The prophecy sprung through his mouth, as though spirits themselves spoke through him. A haunting sound, of almost whispers. and then, silence. his body went limp. and he once again remained motionless.

as his body flopped once again to the ground his hand loosened and the coin/key which he had tried to hold on too rolled out his hand, and hit the foot of a watchful pendragon

  5. As Sarunus got a closer look the 'dragon's eyes suddenly shot open. In surprise he jumped back a foot and then the 'dragon started saying some sort of poem or riddle. What the fuck he said in shock. He slowly reached his hand into the inner pocket of his jacket to get his pistol in case this guy was a nut job. When the guy hit the ground he noticed the coin in his hand had rolled to his foot. Whats is this? he asked himself as he picked up the coin and brought it up to examine it.

  6. the flashes ended. he could feel the numbness leave him and a sense of peace filled him. for a second anyways. his feelings of safety where short lived as he heard the sounds of guns being drawn. without moving he tried to feel if the coin was still in his hands. to his horror, it wasn't. thoughts began to race through his head at an alarming rate I could kill him. no, no killing. but i could render him useless. not with that gun in my face though. he hasn't shot me yet, meaning he probably heard that prophecy...i could kill him...NO! i won't. i don't need to draw attention to myself. if he's got that coin then he probably thinks that I'm rich...well i am but thats besides the point. best option: play it safe, gunna open my eyes slowly and approach this carefully.

And so he did. he opened his eyes slowly and stared at the blue jeans and a shiver ran up him. blue jeans where in the prophesy.

He chose his words carefully, there was no need for anyone to get hurt...not yet anyways.
"I'm terribly sorry you had to see that." he said, pulling himself into a more comfortable seated position. "happens from time to time. that there in your hand is a precious heirloom to me, would it be possible that you would willingly return it?"

  7. Sarunus froze as his eyes open Who the hell is this guy he thought. ooook..... he said, puzzled. When the 'dragon asked for the coin back he thought about running off with it but then curiosity hit him. Money may be tight for me but ill make you a deal? If you tell me what the hell is going on ill give you back this coin. he said, pointing his gun back down with the coin held between his thumb and index finger.

    Out of Character

sorry for the PAINFULLY short post

  8. He did not like where this was going. at least that weapon is out of my face he thought to himself as he raised himself of the ground and brushed himself of. he was tempted to stun the man, and loot him for what he had, it would only take a simple touch. He decided against it though; again, there was no need to draw un-needed attention.

he approached the man arrogantly, just close enough to make the gun a more minor threat. "i am a prophet of sorts. i see not what will, but what might, come to be." he shifted himself "that coin which you hold is part of a key to a puzzle. a puzzle to find an item more dangerous than you could possibly imagine." he held out his hand, palm up and out towards the hand that held the coin. "I'll ask you again, return the coin."

  9. When the 'dragon started to move closer, he moved the gun to were he could easily tilt it up and take a shot. A prophet Sarunus though, sneering at that half truth. hhhmmmmm.... are you sure you are not leaving any thing out, especially something that might bite me in the ass later. he said. This person was starting to annoy him, he had dealt with these types before, always talking some bullshit any logical 'dragon would not understand. Yes he would admit they know much about the Fronima and that with out them we would have less of an advantage against the rapine but that still did not make up for their high and mighty attitude.

  10. This 'dragon was as stubborn as he was. Given any other day he would've relished the chance to sit down and chat with this man. But this was not that day. Today he had much more important things to deal with.
He could feel the fronima flowing through him. This was obviously not going to go in his favor but what needed to be done, would be. without warning he batted the gun out of his face and slammed his palm into the 'dragons chest, releasing a blast of pure negative magic, to send the man flying into the wall behind him. He could feel the sting flow through him, but it was a familiar feel, he had taken much worse punishment from his parents. still although painful, it did all the more to irritate him.

  11. Just as Sarunus expected the 'dragon did not answer him. Wow, and I thought I was a jackass. he thought to himself. To his surprise the guy just knocked his gun right out of his hand. What the fu-. he Said, right before the 'dragon palm rammed into his chest, making him fly into the wall behind him. When he hit the wall he felt the back of his head slam against the wall. He could tell that he was going to black out when his vision started getting blurry. you... basterd... he muttered out, before his vision became completely black.

  12. Medivh walked over to the unconcious man and breathed a sigh of relief. Easier than i thought, he said to himself as he walked over to the body. he squated down and pried the coin out of his hands, flipped it in his fingers a couple times, and put it back in his pocket.
"I asked you nicely the first time. remember that."

he stood up and dusted his cloak off. that was too close for comfort. He could feel himself getting dizy. he needed to sit, the spell must've been a little overkill. he stumbled off into the street again. tommorrow perhaps; now he was feeling extremely tired.

he stumbled down the street into a nearby inn. He payed quickly, and stumbled his way to his room. he had just enough time to reach his bed before he passed out into a deep sleep. sadly he failed to notice the small trail of blood he'd left from a small cut he recieved when fell into that prophecy.

  13. 2 hours later, black started turning into a gray blur, then grey turned into a dark blue. When Sarunus opened his eyes he realized it was late in the evening and he was still in the ally. Getting up he began looking for the weapon that 'dragon knocked out of his hands. Now where did i drop th-. he whispered, when his foot hit something Ah there you are. picking up the gun he found that there was a little dot of blood on the ground, and another in front of that one. A trial? He grinned widely, apparently this guy was not as tricky as he thought he was.

The blood keep going until finally he found the end of the trial. Bingo, It led straight into a inn. "How can i help ya there stranger." said the inn keeper. A drink please and information on a friend of mine that may be staying hear. Sarunus asked. "Sorry, no can do that is a invasion of privacy" She replied. Will this change your mind? he said, putting down a few coins. Money may have been tight but hay you have to spend money to make it. "Room 6" She quickly whispered, "Any thing else" she asked. That will be all. he said, walking away from the counter and up the stairs. Slowly creeping down the hall way he finally found the room he was seeking. Strangely enough he found that the door was cracked and that the 'dragon inside was fast asleep. He opened the door causing a low creaking sound as the door slowly opened. Slowly walking towards the person he drew out his pistol and taped the guys shoulder. Wake up! he said, aiming right at the guy's head. your not pulling that shit on me this time. Hopefully he would get the answers he desired.

  14. His eyes shot open at the sound of a gun being pulled out. Shit, he thought.
his eyes darted around and saw the small cut on his foot. double shit, he thought. how could he have been so foolish, he should've covered his trail. But he didn't and it cost him dearly.

He sighed in surrender "so, I suppose your pretty pissed at that whole black magic-ing you into the wall eh..." he looked up at the glaring pendragon before him. "right, thought as much."

He didn't dare move, not this time, that 'dragon was pissed, and this time he was definitely in not position to fight back. "Bags," he muttered to himself. "Still interested in knowing whats going on?" he suddenly had an idea. This was a simple enough 'dragon, perhaps he could use this man to his benifit. He could prove to be a valuable resource if it came to a scrap, or even in the streets with the merchants. He didn't like it, but allies where always better than enemies.

He looked the pendragon up and down again, he was no wealthy individual. a share in gold could most likely sway the 'dragon to his side. "tell me," medivh said, his lips growing into a sly smile. "what do you know about the Vivuli Jungle?"

  15. This question was a bit of a surprise, what was this guy up to there was only one way to find out. Well not much, I know that its dense, has two Takula tribes, and it is a large tourist attraction, but other then that not much. Sarunus saw that the 'dragon had a grin but what was it about. How did he know that he was not going to try the same shit that he did in the ally. He backed off about 2 steps backwards and lowed his gun to where it was not directly at the guy's head.

So are you finally going to tell me what i need to know or what? Something made him fell strange, what was going to do in the jungle. Yea there are a few ruins and a few Takula but nothing really worth the trip. Unless of course there was something hidden in that jungle that has not seen light in thousands of years. Something valuable or something that could grant great powers to who ever it was that possesses it.

    Out of Character

Im going to alaska for two weeks and im leaving tomarrow so ill be posting lest then normal.

  16. His grin grew at the 'dragons puzzled expression. "just the basics then," he said, a sense of mystery in his voice.
"what if i told you that in the jungle, beneath the tribes and the ruins, there was a temple that held a relic with the power to alter the world as we know it. what if i told you that this relic was hidden from the light for over 1000 years...well 964 years really but 1000 sounds more ominus. what if i told you that at last through a strenious proscess i have gotten into my possesion a tomb of knowledge that would take me directly to such a relic. would you believe me? would you believe me if I told you that this relic was extremely dangerous, but could bring untold fortune to its owner? well, would you?"

his cunning smile grew as he unleased his plan

"what if I told you i could get you a share in said profit? oh lets say...a relatively large fortune?"

  17. Sarunus just stared at him, lisening to this guys was just creepy. He just went on and on about magic and relics. What if I were to say that all this bullshit was most likely not true. What would if I were to say that even IF it were true why would you give me a cut of this all mighty fortune. Did this guy realy think he was that stupid. Yea he was greedy but being stupid as hell was not him. But... maybe we can work somthing out? Say, how much altering do you plan on doing, and what limintations do you have, you know with using the relic? Maybe if he could play this right he could make a profit off this without getting screwed over in the end. That is if he can find the kinks in this little trinket.

  18. He sighed with relief of the 'dragons words. he finally sat up in a non threatening manner and stretched his arms.
"a bargain you say? delightful. the only thing i want out of this adventure is that trinket. My terms are as such, you travel with me to the jungle and assist me in obtaining this ring. You will receive any money we obtain in the process and i will produce from the power of the ring a fortune that you can't even imagine. these are my limitations, i will not use my power in any way to harm or hurt you, and all i ask is that you trust me in this. i won't lie it will not be easy, and we may die, but ultimately if we succeed it will benifit the both of us beyond imagining."

Medivh stuck his hand out ward towards the 'dragon, who was still, pointing the gun out at him diligently.

    "do we have a deal?"

  19. He sighed and lowered his gun, This did not get me any were. As fare as I know he could be trying to lure me into a place to kill me. Unless of course I can get a hold of something that could pack a punch. He thought. He shook the 'dragon's hand, Deal, but my current armament will not get us through the trip. His former weapon was a machine pistol with stock and AP rounds included. Damn do I miss that thing. This crappy old semi auto did not do the job like his previous weapon did. If we can some how get over that little problem then im set. He said, putting away his pistol.

  20. "Please don't think too ill of me, i'm afraid you won't get anywhere by being paranoid of me trying to kill you. i don't kill out of satisfaction, only if nescesary. A little faith, i think you'll find, will take you a long way."

he looked down at the 'dragons weapon. "indeed that weapon is somewhat pathetic. not only that but we will need traveling expenses. i hope you don't mind stealing. because i think i know of a couple places where we can pick up a fair amount of coin...if your interested of course. and as for your weapon...you just show me where to get such a thing and i'll "persuade," the owner into generously donating you. tell me do you know of any casinos in the market?"
