Mia 23, 81381 Shyodhsvol Yma, wearing his usual adornments. Shyodhsvol Yma stood gaping in awe at this pinnacle of architectural achievement that was the temple of Tanastlasei. Throughout all his travels and all his years this particular temple was his absolute favorite and he found himself coming back to visit time and time again just to look upon its splendor once again. Shyodhsvol Yma shivered a little bit. The cooler temperatures of Mia existed in Mansukh just as they did most everywhere during this bitter season. Shyodhsvol Yma saw that the cold was merely encouraging him to go inside to which he obliged to not only the cold but also to his desire explore the inside of the temple for yet another time. An elderly pendragon stood just off to the side of the large wooden doors that always remained open to the public. Shyodhsvol Yma gave him a polite nod, a smile, and a greeting, "Ukten fa maat ihiek." The man gave a smile and returned the greeting, although Shyodhsvol Yma could clearly tell that he'd not expected to hear those words from any sort of passer-by. Typically only worshippers of Tanastlasei would speak them, but Shyodhsvol Yma knew that it would be polite to say them, and thus chose to. Shyodhsvol Yma walked into the center of the tremendous main room of the temple, completely ignoring the chalk lines on the ground, and stood under the glass dome ceiling. He would turn his attention to those in a few moments, but first he let the sunlight relieve his body of the bitter chill that had followed him inside. It seemed that his age had begun to take an effect on how well his body maintained warmth. Next he turned his attention the labyrinthine lines that marked the entire stone floor in a spiral shape. He didn't bother walking it like he knew was custom, but rather traced them with his eyes. He let himself get lost in the pattern and before he knew it he was standing all alone in the middle of the spiral looking as if he'd forgotten who and where he was.
Rupret, Wearing his usual attire as well. Rupret sat in this temple, reading. It was always quiet. A nice place to indulge in tales of old. He read of mythical daemons, one's he couldn't readily believe in without seeing them for himself. But now, Prying himself from the paperback capture of his attention, he looked up and noticed another 'dragon here. This was a rare occasion. This one though, looked as if he was lost. Not quite looking for something, but just lost. For the time being he figured he'd just watch, and see how this one handles himself in the arms of madness....
Shyodhsvol Yma continued to trace the lines until around as he stood there in the center of the room. It was very hypnotizing really. He was able to continue until he made it to the very edge of the lines where there was another dragon sitting there watching him. Embarrassment showed itself in his gray fur as he turned a darker from the emotion. He realized suddenly that he was in quite a public area where anyone who wanted to could see him, and that he must look quite silly just standing there in the middle of the room focusing on seemingly nothing. "Ex-excuse me. I didn't notice you there. I am Shyodhsvol Yma, a theologian."
Rupret placed a bookmarker, and shut the book. He stood and promptly put the book in his pocket, letting his cape drape back down now. He brushed a bit of his hair out of his face, and extended a hand. "Hello, I'm Rupret Vyuni. Pleased to meet you," A casual greeting. He didn't looked suprised at all that the Shyodhsvol had lost himself in the lines. He had done it many times himself, losing 'precious' reading time from his seemingly uneventful days. He took special note though, that this one changed colors. Personally he hadn't seen it too much, but he knew it happened. At least he could know a little more about this one as he talked to him. Knowledge was always key for Rupret, in any situation.
Shyodhsvol Yma took Rupret's hand somewhat apprehensively, being shy as he was, and gave it a good shake. One had to have an arden's handshake in order to be taken seriously in this world no matter how timid one was. As soon as he released the other's hand however he immediately removed a small bottle of hand sanitizer from a pocket and used a little bit. "You'll have to excuse me, but I hate being unclean," Shyodhsvol said it and moments afterward realized how offensive that must have sound, "N-not that I'm saying your unclean. I... I have a condition." Shyodhsvol Yma looked at the ground and shook his head. He was certain he's just made a complete ass of himself in front of a perfect stranger.
Although Rupret was a little offset by this, he still replied with "I perfectly understand." He flashed a slight smile as well. He began to look around a little bit, to see if anyone else was around. He sat again, and asked, "Do you come here often?" He crossed a leg, and adjusted himself until he was comfy. Again he waited for this one to say something else. Gripping his hands together and playing with his thumbs as if passing time by without any hurry at all. He flipped his hair out of his face again. Although there wasn't any wind, it just seemed to want to stay there imparing his vision in the slightest.
He shook his head somewhat clumsily now that he was a tad nervous from all of the dumb comments he seemed to be making despite the other's reassurance, "Umm, no. Actually I'm a wandering theologian. I've been traveling the world for a great portion of my life trying to make it to all of the churches. I also make an appoint to make it to the libraries neighboring each one to read up on the churches and the specific religions of each region." Shyodhsvol Yma wondered then if Rupret would care at all about his life's work. Of course the arden had ambitions and plans of his own, so what would be the point of listening to a poor theologian? He silently cursed his lack of being outgoing and the fumbling that it caused him during conversations with other beings.
"All of the churches eh?.." With an emphasis on all, he looked around again. "Well out of the ones I've been to, I like this one best. Though, not a religious person myself... It's great to come here and read for a while." "I know partially what you're going through. I'm a wanderer as well. But not one of religion. Just knowledge." With this he hoped he hadn't been too intrusive, or he at least didn't want to come off like he was trying to top Shyodhsvol in any way. He let out a slight chuckle, "I mean, I'd like to learn as much as I can before ascending into Fronmina. If they'll still let me in, that is." He smiled again at his own comment now, and scratched the back of his head. Feeling slightly awkward. Out of Character

It's fine. :)

Shyodhsvol Yma figured he must have misspoke again. Somehow the other had gotten the idea that he was religious. "Actually," he began, "Mine is only one of knowledge as well. I am not religious either. It's just that the idea of religion fascinates me, so I've made it my field of study. Eventually I'll probably teach it somewhere." After saying it he realized that Rupret and he seemed to be on a very similar wavelength. Both were wanderers, seekers of knowledge, and non-religious. He suddenly gathered a new curiosity that he immediately vocalized, "What sort of knowledge do you seek?"
To this question Rupret chuckled. Then he gained a very serious demeanor, "I... I'm not sure. I suppose I'd like to learn as much as I can before my time has passed. So, I suppose. I'd like to learn, everything." He gave off another slight smile. "Religion is a funny thing though. It gives people a way to die easier, and helps them to keep their morals... eh?" That was how Rupret saw it. Most of it wasn't real, just teachings. Stories and fables to tell the little ones to keep them in line. "Then again, teaching it still sounds interesting."
Shyodhsvol Yma couldn't help but smile, finally he found someone that felt the same about religion as he did. Most other pendragon were religous to some degree. Atheism was very uncommon. "I know exactly what you mean!" he exclaimed excitedly. "And I'm not sure it stops there either. There are times that I seriously think that the only reason religion keeps on is simply because of tradition!" It was just then he simultaneously realized how loud he was, remembered where exactly he was, and placed his hands over his mouth to stop himself from continuing. His ears and tail drooped a bit due to his embarrassment. "I seem to have gotten carried away there for a moment."
"Meh, I'm sure it's fine. It's only an opinion." With this Rupret smiled as well, "But you were kind of loud..." He looked around to all the stern glances they were getting. Though there weren't too many other people around, there was obviously tension. "Maybe we should continue this conversation outside? I'd like to hear more of how you see things..." Eager to get to know this one, he headed for the door. He hadn't met anyone even remotely like him, in a long, long time. He hadn't been this excited in a while either.
Shyodhsvol Yma gave a slight nod and followed his companion outside back into the brisk air. He pulled his gray robe closer to him to keep the cold out. He was glad he met Rupret. Despite the fact that likely none of the clergy back inside could sympathize with his views on life, Rupret did. "Perhaps we could go to the garden to continue our conversation?" Shyodhsvol Yma suggested eagerly, "I've always wanted to see it."
"Yes. The garden does sound nice..." He said standing infront of the door to the cathedral. Rupret took a deep breath of the air, He stretched his arms out a bit. Enough for the pendants next to his belt to show. One glowed and shimmered in the sun, the other was as if a shadow were tied to the end of a string. With a good yawn, Rupret put his arms back to his sides, and looked to Shyodhsvol to lead the way.
Shyodhsvol Yma did just that, but not before catching the glint of sunlight reflecting off of Rupret's pendant. He couldn't help but turn to look to see what it was, but he kept walking as he did so, "What's that you've got there?" Shyodhsvol instantly regretted sounding so nosy, but he just couldn't help it sometimes. His curiosity simply got the better of him at times.
Knowing exactly what Shyod was talking about, Rupret still asked, "Whatever do you mean?" He hadn't intentionally shown the penants and tried to convieniantly hide their existance, which he knew might prove to be futile. He followed Shyod as he entered the garden. Taking a seat on a bench and still trying to avoid the penants, he remarked, "Everytime I come here the beauty always leaves me in awe..." He snickered, and kept looking around like a child in a candy store. Noting the different flowers, with different chemical compositions all which he had memorized. The smells came rushing back to him from nights of study, the insides and outs of all the flowers he knew soared through his mind. He was engulfed in the scenery...
