When Cronvint was first built, it was as a citadel standing proudly on the coast of Trilok, overlooking the Kaushal Ocean. Its city and farms were kept within sturdy walls, all overlooked by a grand castle - Cronvintok, the home of the Jarkorlis. Initially nobles sent from abroad to watch over what was then a new settlement, the family gained political power over time until they became the rulers of the whole continent; thus they turned the settlement into a fortress, with Cronvintok as the symbol of their power.

Today the Jarkorlis do not hold nearly as much political power, instead usually working alongside a parliament that handles everyday issues and affairs in Trilok. However, Cronvintok still stands (though the city has long since outgrown its original walls), and while the family no longer lives there, it is a popular tourist attraction.
