[ooc]Timestamp: tria 12 81384 late afternoon/early evening Location: a diner/cafe. little town just outside of vivuli jungle[/ooc] The change in her apron clinked quietly as she swiftly walked the floor. A hot pot of coffee in her left hand for refills barely swished as she walked. In her right hand a tray was balanced with the food that was going to a small family. She smiled sweetly at the customers as she walked by. Making promises that she would return shortly to get them their bills, refills, orders as she went. She tucked in her long white tail as her and another waitress squeezed past each other. Finally she reached her table. The small family of three sat and chattered cheerfully. A Small blue haired girl, who looked to be about 6, was showing off her drawing on the back of her kids menu. The little niotie smiled up at her, glancing at her name tag and said "Look Takjas!!" Takjas smiled. "That's a very pretty drawing sweety. Here's your food. If you need anything call me over." Takjas heart twinged slightly as she looked at the small complete family. Her face didn't betray her though. She smiled as she turned and went back to filling coffee cups. The smile was almost permanent now. She wore it at work for the customers, at school for the teachers, and at home for her brother and daughter. She felt guilty for the years it hadn't been there. Luckily tonight when she got home she wouldn't have to wear it. Rluknyym had taken Kaiya to visit family friends. They had kids around Kaiyas age. She knew even though she smiled Kaiya could still see her mood. Children were so intuned with their parents... Rluknyym didn't mind taking her to visit friends a couple times a month. Takjas suspected Rluknyym liked being around her so much because he reminded her of their little sister who had parished before Kaiya was born. They always had fun when they went places. Takjas didn't go visiting unless she had to anymore. Every thing about it brought back to much pain. She was fine down being away from old friends. She could be happy Takjas looked at the clock. Half an hour left of her shift. Half an hour until she could let her hair down. She sighed, letting her smile fall for a second. Then put it right back on and went to go get another customers order.
Kycen was on his little vacation from school to visit the Vivuli Jungle so he could write a paper report about it so he could jump to honors. As he traveled down the long serpent road his stomach started to growl for dinner. This arden who wore a white jacket with a blue flame decal and bleached jeans with flames as well. He searched for a place to eat at. Scanning the horizon for this building or whatever it could be. Soon stopping his observation at a restaurant not far from where he stood. His stomach growled more at him wanting food. “Alright… I guess that’ll work.” He said to his stomach as he headed to the building. About ten or so minutes later he arrived at the place and entered it. This restaurant was huge. Certainly bigger than any restaurant at his home and it was also fancy. He thought this might of not been a good idea since usually fancy restaurants were expensive than normal restaurant. However he was hungry and his supplies were already low. Kycen let out a sigh as he stood near the “please wait to be seated” sign as he pondered on what to do. As he waited, one of the employees moved over to him. “Good evening sir, would you like to be seated?” He swallowed before he nodded softly letting the arden lead him to a table. Kycen sighed again before sitting down waiting for a waiter to come and tend to him. He blushed as he saw multiple dragons. There were some thills that were very attractive and they all made him swoon in his seat. Shaking his head as he told himself to stay focus since he was there for food not thills.
Takjas finished taking a group of thills orders and leaving it with the kitchen. As she turned around Anajtym was behind her on his way to drop off a tub of plates with the dishwasher. "Jassy new customer for you! The arden at table 12. He's cute too, maybe you should get his number" Takjas smiled as Anajtym stuck out his tongue. she shook her head "If you like him so much Tym maybe you should. I'm sure you could convince him to swing your way" She wink and turned as she heard him chuckle. Takjas grabbed the food waiting to be delivered to customers on her way. She walked over and smiled putting food in front of a young couple. the young arden looked nervous as her thanked her. Turning she chuckled silently. ahhh young love.. She put the tray down in the tray slots near the food pick up and grabbed a menu. She walked over to table 12. Taking out her pen and order pad she clicked the pen as she got to the table. She smiled kindly looking over her new customer quickly. Hmmm Anajtym... Good taste as usual. He's not bad. She thought to herself as she brought her green eyes up to lock on his amber ones. "good evening sir, here is your menu. can I can you anything to drink to start?" she placed the menu in front of him. then she stood with her hands delicately folded in front of her loosely holding the pen and pad. her dragon tail curling around beside her leg to keep it out of the occasional traffic in the isle.
As time went by slowly, Kycen watch the other customers getting up leaving, eating, and even loving. His amber eyes soften up watching a few couples be happy with one another. In the corner of his eye he notice someone approached, which caused him to turn his head to look up at her as their eyes locked onto one another. She was absolutely gorgeous as if she was touched by one of the great goddesses themselves. He shook his head blushing brightly as he realized he was staring at her. Kycen smiled with a soft laugh. “Well now this place can’t get any better… fancy looking and the waitress I get is very sexy. I guess I’m blessed today.” He said a little out loud in a flirty tone before his eyes got wide as he went bright red from his comment. “Sorry, um… I’ll take water please.” Kycen said in an embarrassed tone. He always hated that he snapped in that flirty state when he sees a thill that just happens to be attractive. Quickly Kycen went for the menu and tried using it as a shield while actually looking for a meal to eat. Ever so often his eyes glance over and looked at her alluring figure.
A pink flush showed easily through Takjas white fur. Her eyes quickly looked down as a small smile played on her lips. glancing up through her eyelashes she watched as he hid behind his menu. a quick, head clearing breath and her professional attitude came rushing back. She pointlessly wrote "water" on her pad so she had something to look at so she didn't looking silly. "I'll get you that right away." Takjas went to turn around and paused to glance back at him. She smiled again and walked away with a little extra sway in her hips. The swinging half door to the back opened and she slipped in before it shut again. Quickly she grabbed the full water jug and poured some into the tall glass she held in her other paw. Takjas took both the jug and the glass over to the scaled ardens table. Setting his glass down on the table her pony tumbled over her shoulder. "Here's your water. My name's Takjas I'll be your server. I'm sorry I forgot to ask before, will anyone be joining you tonight?" She tired to sound off handed when she asked.
Kycen looked through the menu choices before glancing over at her every so often seeing the flush, the smile and then the quick return to professionalism. When she told him she would get it right away, he just nodded as he looked over the choices again. His cheeks were still stained with red from his embarrassing statement just a moment ago. As she moved to go get his drink, he noticed her pausing for a moment before smiling and swaying her hip attractively as she went to continue getting his water. His aqua green scale went straight to maroon from him blushing hard because of her alluring walk. Setting his gaze down onto the menu once more he found something he liked, but there was no way he would afford. Kycen let out a long out sigh just as Takjas came back with both the glass and jug of water. “Oh… Thank you Takjas. As far as I know, no one should be joining. I’m here alone tonight.” He told her with a soft, but sweet smiled with his pearly whites. Yeah this was one of many nights he would be alone as he does his report on the jungle.
Takjas eyes lite up slightly as she returned his smile. Wow he has a nice smile. "Alright then. let me know when you know what you want." Her eyes were on him a few seconds longer before She turned with jug in hand to refill glasses. She had only gotten two refilled when the order bell rang. The table of tills order was up. She grabbed the tray of food. placing the food in front of them she took their empty glasses for refills. The smell of the fruity mixed drinks tickled her nose.Mmmm maybe after I'm done my shift I'll grab on of these She licked her lips as she walked over to the bar. Takjas flashed a cheesy smile at Bekci, the bar tender. The tall red thill smiled back. "can i get 4 more of your fruity concoctions please?" Takjas leaned against the counter stretching her body out. She let out a little groan as she arched her back stretching it. A little fur poked out from under her shirt. Bekci smiled in an amused sort of way glancing up as she mixed drinks. "long day?" She inquired. Takjas gave a lazy smile "Ooooh yeah. I'll be dropping by here right after work" Chuckling she picked up the drinks and put them back on her tray as soon as bekci was finished with them. lifting the tray she turned to head back to the giggling, slightly intoxicated table.
Kycen nodded as he looked over the orders once more before deciding what he was going to get. Slowly he took his glass and a sip from it. Water seemed a good idea for this night of being alone. The night seemed to be a slow one to his opinion. Dragons came and go, drunk or not, content or stuffed. His eyes drifted off to the side and looked at his waitress taking the drinks of the thills to get them refilled. Why was it he was so attracted to this waitress? Yeah she was rather beautiful and seems to have a good personality, but he hardly knows her; in fact they just met today. He was watching still for a while before snapping back to reality as he raised his to her hoping she would see him since he was ready for his order. In the back of his mind he had another idea if she was willing to take part.
[ooc]attempt number two[/ooc] Takjas lifted the tray high as she walked back towards her chattering table of thills. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted the ardens calling her over. She looked towards him and nodded, a silent sign that she would be right there. reaching the table of thills she bent over slightly to put their drinks in front of them. Excited "mmmm"s and chatter about how good the food was greeted her. Smiling sweetly she answered the questions they asked her. After a few more minuets then she'd have liked she excused her self to go serve her other customers. Without putting down her tray she headed to the ardens table smiling slightly. Her smile widened as she met his eyes. A slightly flirty tone colored her voice and reflected in her eyes. She was feeling more out going tonight. "I'm sorry for the wait. Have you decided what you want this evening sir? You and the table I was just at are my last tables of the night, so it won't be to long of a wait." Tucking the tray under her arm she reached into her apron and took out her order pad and pen. Her head tilted slightly to the side. The hand that held the pen pushed a stray strand of hair back behind her ear.
Kycen watched to see if she got his call and when she acknowledged him that she’ll be over in a minute. He smiled went back to the menu to make sure what her was about to order was truly what he wanted. His eye glance up at Takjas and he gave her a soft flirty smile. Soon he caught on with the glint in her eyes that she was enjoying his flirty act and was starting to be a little more outgoing or it was just her way. “Yes, I want this.” He said as he pointed to the one he wanted. The meal was a rather unique, but yet delicious set. It was meat covered in herbal coating with salad and what appeared to be soup on the sides. He looked up at her with a smile before handing her the menu. “Um… Takjas… would you mind or like to sit with me so I don’t feel sooo lonely.” Kycen flirted a bit more seeing where this might go. Wondering if he can get a friend or an enemy with nothing more than flirts. He would of course apologize if he got too carried away.
Takjas wrote down what he pointed to nodding. hearing his question her smile widened and changed into a flirty smirk. A quick glance up at the clock. 5 more minuets until the end of her shift. Then meria would take over her tables. Her eyes lowered again to him. " Well.. I'm off in five minuets. So how about I take your order to the back. Finish up what i need to and then I'll come keep you company" she winked. "shouldn't take me more then 10 minuets." inaudibly her heart raced at her daring. she felt nervous and ignored it. she was feeling different tonight. maybe it was knowing she wasn't needed at home tonight. a rush of being able to do what she pleased. it was better then the alternative plans she had for her evening. silently she was thankful she had thought to bring an extra outfit in case she had decided to sit at the bar tonight for a while.
Kycen watched as she wrote his order down on her pad. His amber eyes caught her flirty smirk before she turned to look at the clock on the solid blue wall. He smiled as her when she told him the plan along with a wink. If he could, he would of melted in his seat from that. This was the first thill, who has ever accepted an invitation from him. Usually the girl either ignores him or slaps him. He could tell this thill was different from the beginning when they met. Taking a deep breath he watched her walk away to turn in his order. Kycen slowly eased himself into grabbing his drink and sipping it. Before the five minutes were up, he was going to prepare for this so called date. He chewed a mint and straighten his jacket up before Takjas or his meal arrived.
Takjas swiftly went into the back she punched her card and handed her duties over to a new waitress they were training tonight. she could have the tip from the group of drunk thills. she called to the head chef charlie "hey darlin. can you pleeeease get me a bowel of that soup i love. you know only you can make it just the way i like it!" flashing a smile his way she tilted her head to the side. the blue pendragons hair was lined with silver and now a slight purple tinge came to his cheeks as he flushed and nodded. "thank you!" hanging up her apron she went to the little changing room in the back. it was yellow and the paint was chipped, the far wall was lined with green lockers. went she reached her locker she took off her work shoes and uniform putting them in their places. reaching for her bag she took out a simple black, above the knee length, halter dress. she sighed in relief that it wasn't wrinkled. slipping it on over her head she adjusting herself in it. a few scars showed right above her right breast. cringing she though well at least you can't see all of them. she didn't put anything on her feet. shoes were a rule at work because it was against safety code not to. taking her hair out of its pony tail she sighed happily as she shook it out. the red tips reached her butt and the bottom of her wings. the strange red tips never went away, even if she cut her hair. Takjas looked in the small mirror on the wall. nodding in a gesture of approval she turned and left. the food was ready, the new waitress was picking up the tray with the ardens food on it. swiftly she breezed across the way. "I'll take that hun. it's right where I'm headed anyway." she smiled and took the tray. taking a few short strides she grabbed her soup. "thanks charlie!" she called. he muttered and waved his hand as he worked. Takjas grabbed a glass and a pitcher of water on her way. walking over to the table where he waited she smiled and was careful not to trip
Kycen watched her go with a smile; he couldn’t help but smile himself. It was always good to see a cheerful thill or dragon in this time frame. He was forced to not use any magic what so ever. It was in his blood, it was all he knew, but school closed down the classes of magic till this ban of magic is over. Although, he doesn’t know when that’ll be so now he is trying to figure if he should train in a new skill. All these thoughts ran through his head as he sat at his table waiting for his dinner. Slowly Kycen took a sip of his drink before relaxing. After a while he opened his eyes and looked over at Takjas with her hand heavily full with the tray and pitcher of water. He moved to help her a little to the table. Kycen blushed lightly at her new appearance as every second his eyes glanced over at her. As soon as the tray and pitcher were on the table he took his seat and smiled. “Name’s Kycen by the way.” He said with a blush when he realized he didn’t give her his name.
Takjas smiled noticing the slight color in his cheeks. It mirrored on her own face as he looked her over. She set his dinner in front of him and her soup on the table. Grabbing the tray she handed it to a passing waitress who smoothly slipped it under the one in her hand. Looking into the smiling ardens eyes she returned his smile. She lowered herself onto the seat across from him as he gave her his name. The smile widened revealing her white teeth. "Nice to meet you Kycen. You can call me Jazzy if you like." Shyness took over for a moment. Crossing her legs her eyes cast down and her head tilted slightly. Takjas looked thoughtfully at the seasoning in front of them. One hand held delicately by her mouth the other settled on top of the first hand. Giving her mind an internal nudge Her eyes trailed back up and she laid her hands on the table. Meeting his eyes again she confidently held her gaze and smiled sweetly. "so what brings you out here Kycen?"
Kycen watch her play waitress a little bit as she put his plate in front of him and her bowl of soup on her side before giving it up to another waitress. He let out an even bigger and sweeter smiled as he slowly went down and started to take little nibbles out of his meal. “Jazzy, very sweet nickname.” Kycen said as his eyes glanced deep into her eyes. She soon began to be little shy it seemed when she started to look down at her and did these weird movement with her hands and maybe legs, but Kycen isn’t that kind of arden. When she finally came to again, she looked at him with confidence now. With that he smiled at her as he took a few more bites out of his meal. Oh. She had to ask that about him. What should he tell her he thought? He didn’t want to sound like a dork in front of her. But he doesn’t like lying to others. Kycen sighed as he smiled at her. “I’m travel to the Vivuli Jungle to make a paper about for school.” He told her as he shifted in his seat hoping he didn’t turn off her interest in him or thinking what she was doing here with this freak or something like that.
Takjas watched him smile and followed suit taking a few bites of her soup as he answered her question. smiling she nodded. "oh? that's pretty cool. I'm a student too although I don't travel for it much anymore." i really hope i don't sound stupid or uninterested... its been so long since I've really talked to an arden... It really hadn't be so long in the literal sense. For the last couple years she hadn't really took much notice to gender. She treated everyone the same. Nerves were bubbling under the surface but it was nearly undetectable. Her eyes glanced over at the bar. It reminded her of her previous plans that evening. Turning her eyes back on him she smiled a warm smile. "would you like a cocktail? my treat"
Kycen watched her with a smile just as he drifted back to his meal to take a few more bites out of it. Her words commenting his reason for being out here was quite interesting and funny all the same. It sounded somewhat like him, even though he is here to study for school, he just here for the adventure. He noticed her peeking over towards the bar and blushed thinking she wanted them to get drunk or something. Kycen wasn’t much of a drinker, but he wasn’t one to shy away from it if he wanted some. His heart pounded when her final question came to him and now he must answer it. What will she think of me if I say no, or if I said yes? Swallowing his spit as he decided to take her offer. “I would love to have a cocktail. Thank you.” Kycen replied with sweat on his palms.
