Well, me being an Apple geek, I just watched the keynote address about the new iPhone OS (3.0). I got an idea. What if a RaL app could be created? You could randomly have a Ramathian translator which would work with twitter etc. Or even some sort of game in the style of a comic book, complete with maps! I'm just pushing ideas out there as I'm getting an iPhone soon and considering learning to make apps. I think I'd find this a fun project :P
Hmmm -- I've just finished an introductor unit into Flashlite, Device Central and mobile phone technology. I'm wondering what kind of application you could have on an iPhone, because they have the internal inertia calculator. If you have any more to throw out there, please go ahead; you have my attention =D
Yes the iPhone new release looks amazing. I do like the idea of the Ramathian translator :P The RPG game thing could be based on a comic style, following a plot we've already had (Graders? Riot?) so we have the script. I'm thinking a bit like pokemon but soooo much better cos it's Pendragon love :P The only issue with that would be the ingame graphics. They'd either all have to be comic style so it's simple, or 2d which I personally think we can do better lol. A map is easy to implement in the new update too and easy to design. Also it could have a bit of a Second Life feel with the new peer to peer connectivity so you can go around with a friend. That could be complicated but I don't think it's impossible. Another idea randomly- RaL podcasts for the incharacter news - video broadcasts like on tv :P I'm full of ideas today :P
Hehe, well it'll be ipod version too if we can figure it out :P I'll only be getting an iPhone cos it'll be handy when I start teaching in September :) And besides, in a boring assembly or free when fed up of marking, what better way than to fulfil a RaL addiction? :P
