I can't wait for the full version of this game to come out in September. Anyway, right now there is a free trial version of Spore's Creature Creator. You can download it right from their web site. http://www.spore.com/trialhttp://www.spore.com/trial</a> However, it only contains about 25% of the content that is going to be released in the full version of the Creature Creator (which only costs $10). Still, it's been bloody awesome to play around with. Has anyone else tried it yet? I think it'd be really cool if people tried to make a few Ramathian creatures with it.
*chuckles* I saw a youtube video about robin williams creating a creature using spore. XD hahaha. Looked pretty cool !
I've been hearing about this game for years, I guess it's about time I finally took a look at all the excitement. *downloads*
Spore is going to be the best game around! You'll need a fairly good PC though, I'm thinking. To be able to cope with all those people simultaneously using a server that provides an astronomical amount of space in which to play (literally!) Yeah, I saw Robin Williams as well, lmao. S'all impressive stuff! I'm getting the creator now XD We should make ourselves our own little world, and declare war on lower RPGs, mohahaha! This coming from the one who shot at a moth last night.
Nah, the system specs aren't too bad for the creature creator. I suspect they won't be much higher (if at all), for the full game this September. Windows Vista or Windows XP 2.0 GHz P4 processor or equivalent 512 MB RAM or higher; (Vista) 768 MB RAM or higher At least 2GB of hard drive space 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 Pretty much if you could run The Sims before, you should be able to run this. The game will also run on a Mac. As for the simultaneous playing stuff... I don't think there really is any. What happens is that the creatures you make (and later buildings, vehicles), you can upload to the Spore servers. Then when you login, the game will automatically download other people's creatures and such into your private world in order to keep the game fresh and interesting. I can't wait until September now. ^_^ You can see all of the things that I've made so far http://www.spore.com/view/profile/Shrikerhere</a>. Fun stuff. :P
Nice creatures; For the whole game spore <span style='color:gray'>(not the creature creator)</span> it'll put major stress on the computer because of the massive.... well world intellect<span style='color:gray'> ( like 1000 native creatures, environment and other worlds that threaten to destroy your very existence is harsh)</span> any way here's my creations: http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm80/ang0224/?action=view¤t=scorpeio.png</a>]scorp http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm80/ang0224/?action=view¤t=proto-pendragon.png</a>]proto-type pendragon http://s293.photobucket.com/albums/mm80/ang0224/?action=view¤t=leaf.png</a>]leaf
Yeah. I love that thing. Way to necro, me. But goddamn the code is impressive. I really can't wait to see what else they do with this and what abilities the full game gives you - the engineering behind this software is mindbogglingly complex.
I'm also bring this back to life ;) I was watching over someone's shoulder in class while they were playing today. Just in the way he was moving around from planet to planet was impressive o_o So does anyone here have it?
Yarp. I've got it, sort of. I've just been playing under my boyfriend's account. It's pretty amusing. I like the creature building and space stages the best though. Not entirely fond of tribal and civilization though (plays too much like a long game of Risk). http://www.spore.com/view/profile/flokkhttp://www.spore.com/view/profile/flokk</a>
