  1. Character: Selene Wicca
    Form: Biped
    Clothes: Au natural ;)
Timestamp: 24 Dyo, midday. Janardian Academy Courtyard

    ~ In Character ~

The deep purple 'dragon was sitting on the grass in the warm sunlit courtyard, her eyes shut and her fur warming on the gentleness of the suns rays. Besides her was her shoulder bag that was emblazoned with rainbow coloured threads and tassels along the bottom, big enough to hold her stationary and a lever arch file. Next to that were her textbooks on Archon and Light Lore as well as Dream Weaving. She'd had one class already, her ALL class and now she was just relaxing in the midday sun before her DW class later in the afternoon. Being an apprentice, although she had been using these two trades for a few years now, it still meant she had to recover from the energetic fallout. Selene loved her classes, just with both having heavy practicals on the same day meant she needed the several hours break between classes to recuperate.

One elegant hand moved to rub the back of her neck, the ebony and silver strands of her hair glittering healthily in the sunlight. Selene’s neck ached. The girl sighed contentedly as she basked in the light, sitting up and pulling out her textbook for her Dream Weaving class. She may as well read a bit more on what they were to be doing. The blue stone around her neck glittered with a subtle twinkle as it hang on its delicate silver chain. Right, Further Studies on the Astral Plane Part One

  2. Character: Maldrid Lujtym
    Wearing: Shorts and blue t-shirt
Gah! It's hard to remember what I did as trades for this charrie. It's been so long. lol

    IC:
Maldrid sat at a table in the courtyard and was studying a monologue that he needed to memorize for his acting class. The challenging thing about this one was that it wasn't simply a rehearsing of words. You had to study on what the character's objective was, what tactics he was using to acheive that objective, and what obstacles were in place that needed to be overcome in order to acheive that objective. The black furred 'dragon sighed at the work that he was given. This was something that he didn't concider to be fun. He had a much more enjoyable time when he was actually acting out the scene. Oh well, Maldrid thought, If this is required, then I'll do it. Even though he was trying to reassure himself he was still frustrated with the fact that even though this was an enjoyable subject there were still boring and monotonous parts you had to trudge through. Maldrid sighed to himself and continued to study.

  3. Selene looked at her textbook, reading about the astral plane and how it applies to Dream Weaving. You see, you don’t just hop into someone else’s dreams. It was much more complicated than that. It was more about learning about astral travel and how Fromnia plays such a big part in it. For if you couldn’t astral travel successfully, how could you expect to dream weave properly but not being able to reach that person? “To successfully Dream Weave, you must be knowledgeable about the whole of Fromnia’s existance. Therefore if you have skipped to this chapter I strongly advise you to return to Chapter One.” Well, I’ve read it but I’ll read it again and take notes The female flicked back through the pages of the book, knowing that her teacher was most likely going to ask about Fromnia otherwise that lesson would probably be a waste of time. It was always worth taking notes, even if you thought you knew everything you were writing down.

Selene picked up her bag, taking out her worn brown leather journal that she used to make her own personal notes along with her pencil case, opening it to take out the fountain pen she loved to use. As she settled herself, her eyes glanced over the courtyard and watched as a young male (for he had the usual flame tail) was looking with such an intense concentration at a piece of work, and thought she saw his lips moving softly but no sound coming from them. Perhaps he’s an acting student. Fascinating. Maybe I could make a friend there? Selene picked up her books and walked slowly over to him, coming round the side of him so he wasn’t startled by her sudden appearance. Selene was desperate for friends, having not long transfered here, she still knew very few people. “Hi, do you mind if I join you? I’m Selene, Selene Wicca.”

  4. Maldrid was startled at first, he had been so intent on his monologue. He looked up to see a purple thill who had asked to join him. Maldrid thought it'd be rather nice to have some company since he came to the courtyard alone with no friends. He had hoped that studying alone would be nice, but he was beginning to question that thought. It was always nice to have someone around to talk to and maybe ask their opinion on some things. Help with homework would usually be in abundance when there were people around. Maldrid looked up towards the thill, "Oh, not at all. I'm Maldrid Lujtym. Pleased to meet you!" He smiled at her.

  5. Selene smiled at the young ‘dragon as he introduced himself. He had looked a little started as the deep purple female had ‘appeared’ but that was more likely because he was concentrating on his work. She slid her body to sit on the bench opposite him. “Thanks, pleased to meet you to!” Selene replied with a warm smile as she arranged her textbook and journal on the desk so she could take notes. “So, what you studying?” Selene asked sweetly as she found the correct page in her textbook. I’m studying Dream Weaving and Archon and Light Lore along with herbology.” Selene opened her journal at a blank page and began writing while she talked.

“I’ve just moved here, although there are other schools more specialised in my subjects, they just didn’t feel right you know?” I’m running off at the mouth... Not a good impression! “Ah, er sorry. I haven’t had much luck talking to people since I moved. There’s so many! She said smiling with a little giggle, hoping she hadn’t scared Maldrid off.

  6. Selene did indeed talk quickly, it was hard for Maldrid to even get a little speech out from him. He instead waited for a gap in the conversation. Maldrid chuckled a bit after she was done. "No need to apologize. I'm here to listen when one needs someone to talk to." Maldrid put his monologue work down, "Yes there are a good many people here. It is a very well known school." He sighed to himself and picked up his monologue work, "As for what I'm studying, I do acting"
