Since I've been getting several PMs about Character Applications being rejected, I thought I'd just make a news post about it. Some of you may be asking: Why was my character application rejected? I have three "main" possible reasons for you. A ) You did not spellcheck. B ) You character trade ranks and age don't match up (usually I fix these and accept them anyway if reason A isn't a problem.) C ) You selected a special request trade without getting anyone's consent (sometimes I let these people slide, but not always). Out of these, people *not* spellchecking is still topping the charts. When I'm going through applications, the very first thing I do, before reading any of what you wrote, is copy and paste your application into Microsoft Word. If there are a lot of glaring red squiggly lines under misspelled words that *aren't* names, places, words in Ramathian, or purposely spelt that way, I just hit the reject application option. I figure that if people don't take the time to at least spellcheck what they've written, I won't take the time to read through and accept it. I know this may sound mean, but there are currently 253 approved characters that have gotten past other staff member's and I. So our standards can't be that high. All I'm asking is that you please, please, please, spellcheck before you submit a character application or anything else. If you don't have a spellchecker on your computer, you can use http://spellcheck.net/http://spellcheck.net/</a> online for free. (Both American and UK/Canadian spellings are fine... just in case that ever comes up.) Anyway, thatÂ’s really all I want to say. I really do enjoy reading what you people write. ItÂ’s just when people start getting to be careless it begins to get a little irksome. That's my little mini-rant. I'm done now. :)
Yes, it is. Ehhe. In a lovely red and pink box right above the submit buttons. Maybe I should make the font bigger. :P In the rejection PM, it even says that the main reason applications get rejected is because of spelling. So it's all just a case of people being careless and / or lazy.
Lol, I thought I wasn't like or sumin... But I did spellcheck, and my chars trades match up... So I guess it's the special request trade? Can I ask for it here? Although I'll probably ask again in a reply pm...

Hey...uh how do we change the trades if when we try to edit the char's profile they won't let you change the trades?
Adding or changing trades is something the admin have to do for you. (This is so you can't apply and be accepted with a set of trades, and then change them behind our back to restricted trades that don't make sense with your character. This would be bad. And nasty. ^_~ ) So you PM one of us crazies with the trade you have and the trade you want. (Don't forget to mention which character it's for! lol!) 'Tis best to PM/email Jodie herself if you want a restricted trade, but for regular trades, bug us. (Senior Mods can, and Mods I believe have the ability to add/change trades, too. I could be wrong...) Jodie ish a briliantbusybee! and we're here to take workload off of her, so we have to be put to SOME use, eh? We do more than sit and look pretty, we do! ;]
