Timestamp:Mia 23 81380 Peiruh's favorite hide away had quickly become her favorite playground. She had brought young Rasum her for the 5 time and he seemed to take to it like a fish to water. She couldn't help but smile and feel overly proud of her young son, her first prodigy. Undoubtedly she would have more in her lifetime. Her tail was clutched in her hands as she bent over, brushing her fingers delicately over a pink bloom, absorbing it into memory for later agricultural uses. Her keen ears heard the familiar scuffled of feet against a tree and she whirled upward slowly, fists balled into her hips as she walked into the gnarled, but relatively low tree. Rasum...how many times must I tell you to not climb those trees. You'll hurt yourself. Her hands stretched up, welcoming the boy to fall into them and into safty. Rasum adored the swamp, partially because it was so vast and so foreign. Not many a pendragon ventured her, but his mother did and his father on occasions. It was his place to just be a kid. Darting past raggedy looking bushes, he would peer in or throw a rock into the twisted twigs hoping fervently to uncover a furry something or another. His attempts were largely in vain and thus he found himself scurrying up a tree. Tree climbing was a natural thing to him, perhaps he was more feline in nature then canine. Whatever the case, he did seem to enjoy it. But as his mother softly scolded him he couldn't but help for the reason that he felt he had someone disappointed her. It was an unbarable thought and so he happily jumped into her waiting arms. Safely back on the mushy ground, his startling eyes went to the tree, feeling the sparks of a child, yearning to rebel and yet wanting to appease his mother.
Who: Vac Clothing: White tank top black jeans black boots Vac quietly walked through the swamp. He could hear Peiruh and Rasum. Hearing them made him grin. He laughed quietly as the little squirrel he had found sat on his shoulder. This was a gift for Rasum, he also had a gift for Peiruh. He quickly but, quietly walked up behind Rasum and put his hands over his eyes, and whispered,"Guess who." He looked up and winked at Peiruh as he waited for Rasum to guess. After a moment he laughed and spun Rasum around to face and hugged him tightly. "I found you a present but, you have to be nice to it." He grinned as Rasum's eyes grew huge as the little squirrel climbed off onto his shoulder. Vac stood up and walked over to Peiruh, took her into his arms and kissed her deeply. He broke the kiss and presenter her with a jewelry box. Inside this box sat a ring. A 24 karat white gold band, with a pearl in the center. On either side of the pearl are 3 tiny diamonds but, it had a magical enhancement on it. It can increase your perception on the world for a few moments, making everything seem to slow down. He looked deep into her eyes, and asked,"Will you marry me?
Rasum gasped at first, the shock of his world disappearing behind two large hands was more then a surprise. But the voice was familiar and the young arden couldn't help but smile as he squealed the words. Daddy...Dad...You scared me! As he was twisted around his large red eyes found the fuzzy squirrel that had quickly made its way to his shoulder, cooing cutely into his ear. Plucking it gently, and cradling it like a furry baby, he looked up to his father, face stern and serious. I'll be real careful Dad. I'm gonna name him...Bob. It was an old name, from the fairytales that old faerie race called humans used to tell. He had liked its plainness. Skipping off to some bush, he babbled happily to his new friend, missing the whole importance of marriage. Peiruh smiled knowingly at Vac as he gave their son his first pet, an incredibly tame squirrel. As he walked to her however she cocked her head, her long orange hair bobbling around her head happily. As she was handed the velvety box, her hand clapped to her mouth, tears on the brink of breaking the surface. The pearl, together with the diamonds were so glorious and blinding she couldn't fight the tears any longer. Slipping it onto her fingers, she rushed Vachilus, wrapping her arms around him, laughing, crying and speaking at the same time. Of course I will...of course. Yes. Heck yes. She hardly ever used slang words, but the sheer joy of the moment had just caught her up.
Vac gently cupped Peiruhs chin and kissed her softly. He grinned ear to ear. "Oh Peiruh, I have wanted to ask you that for so long. It was finally the right time." He gently let her go and looked in the direction that Rasum went. He reached into the bush and pulled him out. He spun in a circle holding Rasum and Bob in his arms. "So, you named him Bob did you? I am glad that you are going to be careful with him." He grinned and carried him over to Peiruh and looked back and forth at them. He just couldn't help but, grin.
Rasum was mildly surprised when his father pulled in from the bush. Hugging Bob to his chest, with one hand, he held onto his father with the other. Giggling happily as they spun, the boy grinned too. It was infectious. He just didn't know why they were so happy. In his mind his father and mother were married the whole time. Perhaps it was better that way, he wouldn't be so confused. And besides, he didn't want to ruin the moment with a silly quesiton. For his age he was rather perceptive. Yes, he's Bob. And his favorite color is green. He told me just now. And Mommy, he says your very pretty. Of course Bob said no such thing but who cares. Peiruh kissed him back in return and when he left to fetch their son she smiled. She had a family. A real family. It was what she had wanted this whole time. As she listened to Rasum speak animatedly for the squirrels behalf, she bent down, pressing her pointer and middle finger into the dirt. A tiny writh of yellow and white flowers sprouted where she had touched and she gingerly picked it up and placed it on Bob's head. Then she did the process all over, this time for the sake of her offspring. Now you too match and tell Bob I said he's quite the handsome fellow himself. Her tail writhed behind her and found Vac's intertwining with it in a familiar and warm gesture. Grabbing his hand, she kissed his cheek and then crossed her eyes at her son who had given himself over to pretend to be puking at the romance. Rasum...me and daddy are gonna have a marriage. A big party type thing that lets everyone know we belong to each other. Aren't you happy? The boy nodded largely, happy because his parents were.
vac watched as Peiruh put a wreath on Rasum and Bob's head. He smiled at Peiruh as there tails intertwined. He reached over and pulled her close. He let out a laugh as Rasum made the pretend puking sound. "Well, if Bobs favorite color is green then I guess we might have to find something for him that is green. And he is a mighty smart squirrel when he says, mommy is pretty." He winked at Peiruh. He couldn't help but, play along with Rasum's little game. He set Rasum down so that he could run off and play once more with Bob. "Just remember Rasum stay out of the tree's like your mother asked." He smiled as he watched Rasum and Bob run off into another bush. "Well, it looks like we have some planning to do soon."
She clapped her hands as he mentioned the planning. Peiruh knew what she definately wanted in the wedding, as far as decorations go. Flowers. Lots and lots of flowers. But she would voice that thought later, for now she just squeezed his hand tighter as she nodded a yes. It will be fun...and beautiful. I'll even invite Vex. Ooo...so many preparations. Would it be little? Would it be big? She let go of her loving grasp with Vac and turned around one time before falling into the marshy grasses with a laugh. Rasum looked at his mother, not unused to her little playful moments. But as she dropped to the ground, he yelled happily and ran to her, escorting Bob gently to the ground. Jumping onto her stomach he smiled widely, rows of sharp teeth glinting in the sun. Snuggling his head to her chest, her felt the familiar arms that had so enjoyed cradling him. And with that, the little boy found another familiar grip. That of sleep. Eyes, heavier then he had realized, slammed shut and within seconds he was asleep.
Vac laughed and sat down next to Peiruh. He gently pulled Rasum from her and onto his own stomach. He smiled as Bob quickly climbed up and curled up next to Rasum. He smiled at Peiruh as she spoke. "We will get it all figured out." As he said the words he softly pet his sons head in gentle strokes.
The cute young boy instinctively gripped a patch of his dad's shirt and held it comfortably in his bite sized fist. Mumbling and turning every once in a while, the boy seemed pretty content being between his parents. And besides the fact, his squirrel had rolled up beside him and his father was lulling him into even deeper sleep with his rythmatic stroking. Peiruh grinned happily at her two men, rubbing Rasum's back for good measure and then dropping her hand to prop her head on it. Her life was perfect. Smiling happily, the pretty woman, for she could finally accept that she was in fact a full grown thill, leaned over to peck Vac on the cheek. Of course we will. And it will be absolutely splendid. Any ideas?
Vac thought about it for a few minutes. He asked in a quiet voice,"Peiruh, have you talked to Vex? I hate to bring this up but, eventually she will find out. She has the right to know that she is an aunt, and that she is going to have to put up with me." He kept his voice quiet, so that he didn't wake up Rasum or Bob.
She dug her snout into both of her hands, sighing heavily and flicking her tail in her old habit of aggitation. I know your right. I've been avoiding telling her because...well she doesn't like you. She'll love Rasum I know it...but the fact that I got pregnant, and by you, will just freak her out...I... She sighed again, a long and thick sound as she returned her eyes to look at him. Chewing on her lip thoughtfully she looked to him and nodded and seated herself up. I suppose I can send her a message via portal and messenger. Perhaps she'll swing by the house today...though I would rather she didn't.
Vac continued to stroke Rasums head. He reached out with his other hand to pull Peiruh closer. "It would be a good idea to tell her sooner rather later. She doesn't have to like me and she can freak out all she wants but, there is nothing she can do about it." He hated to see her agitated but, the conversation had to come up. He tried getting her to smile again. "So, any locations you might have in mind for the wedding?"
Vac knew her well and his question was well aimed. Her tail thunked heavily to the ground, her aggitated state melting away to happiness again. Well...I just know I love the ocean and I love flowers. So an oceany flowery place. She got up, grabbing Vac's hand in the process, though letting go for fear that Rasum would wake up. We should get little mister home...and I'll sent for Vex. She closed her eyes, massaged her head and walked around Vac, staddled him and hoisted her son and his pet squirrel into her bosom.
Vac stood up, and took their son and his pet back and settled him onto his chest. "Yes, we should get him home. Ocean and Flowery huh. I think we could find a place that fits that description. Lead the way dear." He grinned as he enjoyed the view of Peiruh walking in front of him.
She exaggerated her steps on purpose before bending her knees and jumping into the sky. It was her most preferred mode of transportation. They would return to their home in the Nyonge Mountains and then she would have to get to the task at hand. Twirling around, she flew backwards, smiling broadly and blowing occasional kisses. This little boy definately needs his rest. She couldn't be happier. ooc:continue this in the nyonge mountains k
