Fog drifted lazily over a sheet of glass that was the lake; but its density was dropping, as the first rays of dawn spread themselves over the ground. Not a noise, not a movment, to disturb the eerie peace. Everything was still asleep, it seemed, oblivious to the spectacular scene.

But suddenly, life errupted on the lake and its surroundings. The song birds opened their beaks and sang their joyful melodies, the larger birds swooping down over the lake, snatching up fish and gobbling them down. A small tree creaked in the wind and a slow bat flew dejectedly to its home; the morning had arrived.

A flash of charcoal flickered through the trees nearby - a tall figure, which seemed to glide along the ground, was coming toward the lakes edge. Its huge, feathery wings were folded against its body, and its dim gray eyes darted about the terra, taking in every detail.

At his speed, it seemed impossible for him to stop before being flung into the water, but, as it were, he snapped his ashen wings open at the last second, and halted, just inches away from the water; in fact, it lapped up against his 'toe'.

He brushed a hand-like paw through his hair, and it shimmered like diamonds in the light. Sitting down, he curled his tail around his body, and for a moment, the stripes on his maw looked like extensions of his hair.

  2. <span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'><span style='font-family:Geneva'><span style='font-family:Geneva'><span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>Hail walked along the cold beaches of Magi lake. She liked the way the sand felt undernieth her toes, and how it shined in the sun. She loved everything about the beach. She decided to take a swim, looking around to see if anyone was there. She took off her top, revealing her small undershirt, and she was already wearing shorts. She slowly got into the water of the lake. Ahhh that's cold she thought, diving undernieth the surface. She started to shiver, but neverless was having fun. </span></span> Hail turned around. A male pen-dragon was swooping over the water. Shit, I hope he wasn't watching me take my shirt off. </span></span>

  3. He, of course, wasn't, and hadn't even seen the other 'dragon. He knew she was there, of course, but didn't bother looking. He wiped some sand of his jeans, and, after contemplating it for a few minutes, glanced over to the dragon in the water - but only momentarily.

    Nice morning.

His voice was quiet and detached, and he didn't even notice as he toyed around with the water at his feet, splashing it up into mini fountians as he spoke. He decided against saying his name, or asking for hers - it wasn't his thing.

  4. <span style='font-family:Geneva'><span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>"Yeah, quite" she smiled replying to him. She wisped her hair behind her ears. </span></span>

  5. He looked at her for a moment, then looked away quickly, and slightly akwardly, blushing; though it was bearly noticable through his charcoal fur. (The wet T-shirt rule <_< )

Realizing that he had been subconciously minipulating the water, he relaxed and let it flow back to its normail position, enjoying how it washed up peacfully against his gray paws.

Nice place here, what with the water and everything...

He trailed off, brushing silvery hair away from his face as he spoke.

<span style='font-family:Geneva'><span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>She grinned. "Yeah, it is". Although she was a seductress, she didn't like seducing men unless she needed to. She blushed. "What brings you here?"</span>.</span>

He shrugged slightly, shifting his legs so that he was sitting on them. This was one of his favorite poses - it made him feel important, for some reason.

Why is she talking to me, anyways?

And that led him to his suspicious tendencies (sp?). She was only being friendly, of course; but his mind didn't work like that. His mind jumped to conclusions.

I have a passion for to water - in general; and flying, so this place is my favorite hidaway... ...from everything.

He ended slowly, brushing the hair out of his face once again. It was a habit of his.
