    Salme Catjse

Salme sat on a bench in the courtyard, staring down at a seemingly endless stream of words inside one of her text books. With a loud groan she let her head fall back. This is so stupid. She closed the book and shoved it into her back and sat on the bench a little longer. Slowly she started to fall asleep, her head nodding. She started to slide off the bench, regaining herself everytime she almost fell off. So bored. She looked around and crossed her arms, finaly deciding perhaps she would just sit here the rest of the day.

  2. <span style='color:orange'> Lìnnet Faith ~ 1500 ~ Female</span>

Lìnnet had spent a few hours of the day going off to classes and trying to find time to get all her homework done. She had passed through the Courtyard once or twice already, first time to get too her class faster and now for a brake and some fresh air. What she noticed was that there was the same female sitting in the same spot as before. She thought this was fairly strange, yes it was true that there were often days when some ‘dragons didn’t have classes but to stay in one stop for a few hours even if they had something to occupy themselves with it was not a easy task in her opinion.

Since she had the time now she walked over to the female in the bench who looked like she might fall off any second.
<span style='color:orange'>“Excuse me, I don’t mean to pry by any means but… You just look a little out of it."</span>

Lìnnet was never one to dance around a question. She was always straight forward with people, for most facts. But it wasn’t always a good thing because sometime ‘dragons took it the wrong way. She hoped this female wouldn’t. Beside she could use some company right now.

  3. Salme was half asleep when the female pendragon came up to her. She sat up with a start and then, seeing that she had simply been woken up she slouched down on the bench once more.

"Oh hi. I'm just having a very inactive day. I have most of my classes first thing in the morning. The rest of the day is just boring."

She sat up slightly and rubbed her eyes. What she had said was true, most of her classes were almost too early in the morning for her to even wake up. But of the few classes she had this afternoon she had skipped, deeming them much to boring for an already miserable day. Besides, that was the joy of make-up work. And she was a good student, she got good grades, one day could not hurt much. She sat there slumped on the bench. She smiled and looked over at the other pendragon, holding out a paw with a great effort.

    "Hi Im Salme."

  4. Lìnnet sinled hearing that the female was just tried. And she understood that some times you could just find yourself bored out of your mind. It wasn’t hard if you either didn’t have the motivation to do anything. She knew the feeling of a slow day. She then held out her orange paw to Salme.

<span style='color:orange'>“It’s nice to meet you Salme, the name’s Lìnnet. You mind if a join you on the bench?"</span>

She motioned to the open spot beside Salme but didn’t move to sit down just yet. Her mother had drilled it into her head to be polite and have manners. It was something that was hard to shack off after, not that it even cause a problem. Most ‘dragons where happy to see that some teen still held some respect for elders, but some of older students didn’t seem to think that they should be respected. She’d always shrugged it off.

  5. Salme shook the hand of the newly met Linnet.
    "Nice to meet you. "
She looked down to the bench, and relized as she did there was no need to. She shook her head to shake the sleep from herself.
"Yeah go right ahead, I could use company."
She blinked heavily for a moment, as if to clear her sight. She took a deep sigh and turned to Linnet.
"So, What class you comin' from?"
She said, trying to make a little small talk. She was not usualy the outgoing type, but her sleepyness made her strangely talkative. It was like people who feel the need to reply to someone who talks to them when they are still asleep...or something. She brought a paw to her head and ran her fingers through her hair, giving another satisfied sigh.

  6. Lìnnet smiled and took the seat beside Salme, happy to get off her four feet and that she had found someone for company. As she sat she moved her still slightly too large so that sitting was comfortable. It was a bother she was starting to get used too.

<span style='color:orange'>“Well I had a magic class earlier this morning and just got back from one of the navigation ones where we were on our feet moving around all day."</span>

She let out a small sigh. It was the usual time for her tiredness to catch up to her. She didnÂ’t mind getting up so early in the morning as long as she had time to rest later on. It evened out in the end.
<span style='color:orange'>“How ‘bout you? What did you have to get up for this morning?"</span>

  7. Salme lifted her head slightly, looking blindly into space.

"Er, well this morning I had an english class. That was increadibly boring. But before that I had an art class. Im not to good at drawing stuff."

She took a big yawn, her tails twitching slightly. She looked over towards Linnet and smiled slightly. It was nice to have someone to talk to besides her anoying roommates. They often got increadibly anoying. Plus, she now had someone she could wave too. For some reason that was always fun. She chuckled faintly.

"Im glad I dont have one of those classes. I would fall behind and get lost or something. Besidess, to much activity in the morning is not something that gets me in a good mood."

  8. <span style='color:orange'>“I used to take English all the time in my old school. I’m happy I only have a little of it now."</span>

Linnet ran a paw through her metallic blue hair that was starting to get too long. She planned to get it cut soon. She the moved her bag which was still on her shoulder and lowered it to the ground. A small grin went across her face.

<span style='color:orange'>“The classes aren’t bad if you have the magic strength already, but if you are someone who wants to build it from no where it’s hard work. I actually prefer the morning lesson. It’s a good way to get up and going during the day, great time to get them over with."</span>

She also enjoyed school for the most part. Especially the openness that she had here at Janardan, she had a lot more free time and she found some of her easier.

  9. Salme sighed again, the urge to fall asleep slowly leaving her.

"I just take english for the stories and stuff."

She sat up on the bench after having slowly slid down. She kicked her bag and it lurched a little, but did nothing elce. All the books, binders and papers and things wighed it down pretty heavily. She would not have been surprised if it broke her back one day.

"That would be my problem then. I have no magic strength what-so-ever. I tried to take a magic class once, turned out to be too hard for me so I just went back to all the boring debate and art classes."

She smiled, thinking about her debate class. She had that in the afternoon, right after lunch so she was all fired up and ready for action when she walked into the room. It was actualy a fun class, but to think of it now it seemed boring.

    <table class=ooc><tr><td>Sorry for the wait x.x</td></tr></table>

<span style='color:orange'>“Yeah stories are fun. I used to enjoy writting but I always gave up half way through."</span>

She nodded as she listed to what Salme had to say, at the same time taking a look around the courtyard. Just taking a look to see if she knew anyone else here, but there were only a handful of other students in sight.

<span style='color:orange'>“Your in debate class? Cool, I almost took that but changed my mind right before I came. I’ve never been too good at art. Can’t keep a steady paw."</span>

She grinned, knowing it was true, she often shook when she did magic, either if it was something new or a little more powerful then she was used too. So that made other things she held jump all over the place.

  11. "Same here, the stories always get started but never get finished."

Salme nodded slightly. She had had quite a few ideas for stories and things, but for one reason or another they almost never go far enough to actualy get finished. It was a sad thing considering a one or wo of her stories where actualy quite good.

"You're not missing much, its pretty boring until you actualy get to do the whole arguing thing. Drawing...I'm ok at it, but I practice all the time so I guess it just comes easier to me or something."

She was silent a moment and then, she stood up and streached her legs, grabbing her bag and placing it on the bench where she had been sitting. She steached and then looked over at Linnet.

    <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>Shall we make this thread a bit more interesting, or just end it before it gets tediously boring?........I hate those threads that just deteriorate until its more of a chore to post than it is fun.....</td></tr></table>

  12. <span style='width:100%;font-weight:bold; font-size:10px'>Out of Character</span>
<table class=ooc><tr><td>I would agree. Do you have a plan to spice it up a little?</td></tr></table>

Linnet nodded, hearing that debate wasnÂ’t always the most amusing made her feel a little better about not choosing it. Most of her classes so far had proven to be fun, if not challenging. And she always loved a challenge.

She was a little confused when Salme got up, was she going some where already? Or was she just steaching? She looked up at the other fem with her mis matched eyes, a little puzzled.
<span style='color:orange'>“You going somewhere? Or do you just have some brilliant idea of something?"</span>

With that Linnet stood up as well, if she was going to rush off right now, maybe she could join along. Besides it could be fun and they had just meet.

  13. Salme finished her little stretch and relaxed.

"Well I was just going to stretch a little but now that you mention it, maybe we could walk around a bit."

The enthusiasm of her sentence faded slightly at the end and her eyes looked at something beyond Linnet. She leaned a little bit to the side, as if to get a better look. A frown crossed her face as her eyes confirmed what she had thought.

    "Excuse me a moment."

She said, bending down and picking up a small, but still heavy rock in her paw and fingering it. With a quick toss and surprisingly accurate aim, the rock found its target. A rust red pendragon dressed in orange cargo shorts and a tan t-shirt amidst a group of his friends. The rock hit him hard square in the back of the head. He turned around. Salme quickly turned the opposite way and gestured for Linnet to do so as well. The pendragon broke from the circle of friends and started to walk towards them.

  14. Linnet followed Salme movements with her eyes, a little confused at what was going on. She then followed her glance at a group of pendragons standing a little distance off in the other direction. She guessed that she must know one of them. Once she heard her voice again Linnet was about to turn around on her seat but then the rock went flying by and she watched as it hit the male in the back of the head.

She didn’t know what to say. She quickly turned around with Salme and tried to make herself invisible on the bench, maybe he would think it was someone else.<span style='color:orange'>“What was that all about?"</span> She mumbled to Salme, trying to keep her voice as low as she could. Also trying to stay well behind this side of the bench, she didn’t know who this male was but he sure didn’t look to happy to be pegged in the back of the head.

Seeing it all happen again in her head and thinking of it now it was almost a funny sight. She might even have laughed if she wasnÂ’t so caught up with the moment.

  15. Salme let out a stifled giggle. It had been a while since she had been able to find the perfect time to get him. This had just been a little too perfect. I bet his friends are all laughing at him. She thought smugly to herself.

    "Payback."

She said simply in answer to Linnet's question. It was a simple as that, she was just getting him back for all the times he had spit gum in her hair and stolen her cap. Also, the pendragon was coming fast and she did not want him to hear her. The red male stode up behind them and leaned his head right in between the two of them.

<span style='color:red'>"Now what is beautiful pendragon like you doing with Salme?"</span>

He said looking over at Linnet. Salme looked over at the male and gave him a scowl. Though it was not a direct insult to Salme, she could take a hint. Besides she knew him too well. The flirt had made a pass at her and every other girl in the school at one point or more.

"Shove it Vlun. Linnet let me introduce you to the dumbest excuse for a flea bag pendragon you will ever meet."

  16. Linnet rose her eye brow at the simple response of ‘Payback’. So there was reason behind the throwing of the rock and she indeed knew this male. Once he place his head between the two she looked up at him. So got the insult fairly clearly, and she wasn’t interested at all in him.

<span style='color:orange'>“I was having a nice conversation. Nice too meet you…"</span>

Okay well she wasnÂ’t really happy to meet him, by the way Salme was talking about him she took a guess that he wasnÂ’t the best of company. And from where she was now, even without knowing the story behind this, she would side with Salme, besides what could she have done to him?

  17. Vlun looked a little disapointed. The flame lining his back flared up a little but died down just as fast as it had started. Finding that she was obviously not interested, he turned to Salme who leaned back with a discused look on her face.

<span style='color:red'>"Fine. Salme you know I am going to get you back for that."</span>

He said scowling. Salme matched his scowl. She had never liked Vlun, and fate had it she had to share a dorm with him. It was lucky this time she at least had someone to stand up for her. Linnet was already proving to be a great friend as far as Salme's standards went.

"You had it coming. Remember that water in the face this morning?"

She said through clenched teeth. She stood up and stared menacingly at him. This was going to turn ugly, she could sence it.

  18. Linnet watched intently as the two bickered it out. There was defiantly some tension between these two, probably a little more then tension actually. They seemed to hate each other, which seemed to be true by their words. It must be a problem between them for a while.

When Salme rose to her feet from the bench Linnet did as well. She didnÂ’t want to be caught off guard. It seemed like anything could happen between them. At the mention of water and idea came into her head. Nothing to drastic really, but a plan never the less, she moved her orange fur covered paw behind her back, just in case.

<span style='color:orange'>“You two seem to have it in for each other."</span> In a way she was hoping to almost distract them from one another, but them being in the same area it didn’t really seem to possible.

  19. Vlun growled deep in his throat and his flame grew a little higher.

<span style='color:red'>"You had THAT coming too, dont act all inocent!"</span>

He said almost yelling now. Salme opened her mouth to scream at the male pendragon once again but was interupted by Linnet. Her assumption was quite acurate. Vlun and Salme had known each other since they where pups and had despised one another it seemed even longer. Salme turned her gaze over toward Linnet.

"Its hard NOT to have it in for someone like him."

She said casualy as if the pendragon she was talking about was not standing right there. The two always had a reason to get back at the other, he did this she did that. It was an everlasting war between them. Vlun set aside his scowl and smirked iritably, something he always did when he was going to do something particularly anoying.

  20. She could now see where Salme anger was coming from, Vlun here seem to get angry very easily. She could see how they could both get on each other nerves and she was starting to wonder what she had gotten herself into. But she didnÂ’t have any second thoughts, yet. ItÂ’s always fun till someone losses an eye they say.

    <span style='color:orange'>“Not hard eh?"</span>

She looked Vlun over again, there were no ‘sighs’ for someone being not likeable, but also many people could be deceiving, so there was no need to be judging a book by it’s cover. Her orange paw was still behind her back, not sure if this was going to turn into an all of fist fight was prepared with a little magic trick she had picked up here at the academy.
