Physical Description

Karryasa isn't as large as one might think she would be for someone her age. She is big, but not overly. Her hair is very uneven and matted. It runs from the top of her head to about half way down her back, around her neck and chest, and also at the base of her tail.

Her mid-section doesn’t have this tattered fur because of the bandages wrapped around her rib cage. Her left ear is also pretty much torn to shreds. Her hair a royal blue, remarkably without any signs of aging. The rest of her fur is a deep purple.

Her tail isn't like most pendragons. Instead of taking on a wolfish shape, it looks more like the tail of a chinchilla. Furry and long, with a tuft on the end. Her tail is also purple, but has a hint of blue in the tip. Karryasa’s canine teeth are quite long, and remain visible even when her mouth is shut. Her most famous characteristic however, are her eyes. Instead of being a bright yellow as per the rest of the side of her family, they are a deep orange.

Over her left eye are four deep gauges that were unmistakably made by another pendragon. She also has a bite mark on her right foreleg. Her left foreleg is bandaged as well as her midsection. Karryasa’s last, and most likely one of her most famous trademarks is her necklace. It is simply a piece of string with various sized claws strung along it. Upon closer inspection, one would realize that those claws are indeed pendragon claws (which, rumour has it, that she extracted from past foes).

Personality

Karryasa is not the most sociable pendragon one could come across. She would much rather be alone or with one or two family members, not a crowd. On the rare occasion that Karryasa goes looking for company, she is either avoided out of fear, or confronted by the most annoying sort of pendragons with the most boring and or ridiculous problems that they figure the crippled old Grader could solve for them. And more often than not she meets up with (so they say) with a hired assassin or two. Nothing she can't handle.

Not many pendragons that have ill intentions towards the Graders get close to Karryasa or her kin. She senses them before smell, and has them in pieces or down to their knees in mental agony before sight.

History

Karryasa's husband is Zamfir. She has eleven children. Koani, Alice, Josie, Shag, Lupus, Sean, Ryan, Rodney, Tyotie, Sara, and Rachelle. She also has a sole sister, whom she secretly envies because Lauren was blessed with wings.

Karryasa is indeed a crippled pendragon. She cannot walk very well and when she does, it is quite slow and painful. However, she does have her good days and her bad days.

Not many pendragons are aware of the truth about how Karryasa became crippled, so she allows them to make up false rumours so they don't seek the truth. Just because Karryasa is disabled does not, by all means, mean that she fights handicapped. Her battles rage through your mind as her mental and telepathic abilities are extreme. Any false moves around Karryasa and you could wind up fighting yourself - an internal conflict that would be almost impossible to win.

Karryasa’s major flaw is that she believes that she needs no help, from anyone. It's rumoured that the late Sari Dragyn contacts Karryasa in her sleep to give her advice and receive updates, but these rumours have never been justified. Just like the rumours about Karryasa's left eye. Some believe that with it she can peer into the spirit world. Then again, others simply believe that the eye is merely blind. The thing about Karryasa is that she allows the public to believe what they want, and she keeps the truth about her whole life to herself.

Miscellaneous

AJITA --- Early this morning stomach churning screams were heard from the Grader’s private chambers on Ajita. Council Security and the Grader’s own personal guards rushed upon the scene. Upon forced entry they found not the Arch Magos and Magosai pair, but the solo form of the Arch Magos, Zamfir Grader. His head was cradled in his hands, muscles tense, and was in obvious pain as his cries reverberated throughout the chamber.

His personal aide was immediately called to the scene but could not calm the Magos into a more rational mind-set. Koani Grader, the Magos and Magosai’s eldest daughter, arrived on the scene shortly after although no one had sent for her.

“I know what happened,” Koani replied curtly when she was questioned about her sudden appearance. Not bothering to answer the barrage of questions that flowed after that remark, she waded through the growing crowd and settled down by her father’s side, trying her best to console him.

After much coaxing, sedatives, and other medical measures, they were finally able to get Magos Zamfir to explain what had happened in his own words.

Apparently while Arch Magosai Karryasa Grader was on location (what location Magos Zamfir was negligent to say), she fell victim to a strange and violent breed of magika. Something within her, or something by her reacted violently to it. As a result, a dark portal to The Nothing was opened. Two clawed arms reached out of the portal and put a stranglehold on the Magosai.

At this point in time, the Magos had been alerted. His telepathic link with his life-mate having been so strong that he virtually was “there” when Karryasa was being hauled toward oblivion. Magos Zamfir tried to grab onto her mentally, but “It happened too quickly”. The end result was a “tearing”. Karryasa’s essence was torn in two and her physical self was devoured by The Nothing.

Unable to comment any further, the Magos Zamfir was removed from the scene. He was moved to a small, private care facility and is being treated for trauma and several self-inflicted wounds. Koani stayed behind to tie up loose ends with the press. An emergency Council meeting has been called…
