Art and Design

  • Architecture
    The study of design and building, including the mathematic analysis of materials and other criteria needed to erect a successful structure.
  • Cartography
    The art or technique of making maps or charts.
  • Cosmetics
    The art of applying make-up in order to improve appearances.
  • Crafting
    The art of constructing pieces out of scrap materials, such as wood, paper, or other odds and ends.
  • Drafting
    The art of designing machines and machina through delicate sketches and maps.
  • Drawing
    The ability to use one's hands in order to create art with pencil and paper media.
  • Fashion Design
    The art of designing and using materials in order to create all kinds of clothing.
  • Filmmaking
    A producer or director of motion pictures, especially one working in all phases of production.
  • Hair Styling
    The art of designing styles for hair, whether for formal or casual occasions.
  • Jewellery
    Anything and everything have to do with the designing, selling, and trading of fine jewels which can be worn as bodily ornamentation.
  • Landsculpting
    The art of designing external spaces so that they are either aesthetically pleasing and/or functional.
  • Music
    A person who makes music a profession, esp. as a performer of music. Or any person, whether professional or not, skilled in music.
  • Painting
    The art of putting paint on some type of media to depict feelings or objects in life; creating paintings.
  • Photography
    The art of using a camera to capture a moment, scene, or feeling. Requires one to learn how to properly utilize lighting, angle, space, etc.
  • Sculpting
    To shape, mold, or fashion an object, especially with artistry or precision.
  • Smithing
    The art of working or forging metals into any desired shape. Master metal smiths can also use magic in conjunction with their practice order to create magic infused objects.
  • Tattoo Artistry
    The study of ink and design, as well as other forms of tattooing (burning, for example), and the ability to apply that knowledge to giving others identifying marks on the skin.
  • Weaving
    The ability to interlace threads using tools or machines to make cloth.

Magic

  • Aerokinesis
    The ability to manipulate air with one's mind.
  • Archon & Light Lore
    Opposite of Daemon & Darkness Lore. A ancient and powerful form of magic that involves light, healing, and using more defensive magic (shields; protecting). Most with skill in this trade have had it handed down to them verbally, through books, or through self exploration and experience.
  • Biokinesis
    The manipulation of land and small living organisms with one's mind (trees, land, grass, bugs, etc.).
  • Cryokinesis
    The ability to conjure and manipulate water in all of its forms (ice, steam, etc.) with one's mind.
  • Daemon & Darkness Lore
    The magic art of darkness, similar to Dark Sorcery only specializes in manipulating shadows, stealth, offensive magic and summoning destructive creatures. Most with skill in this trade have had it handed down to them verbally, through books, or through self exploration and experience.
  • Dark Sorcery
    A magical art which can be more sinisterly orientated and often involves using magic in a negative and offensive (often very destructive) way. It has strong ties with darkness and the Nothing and can be more powerful then conventional magic, yet highly erratic. May also overlap Daemon and Darkness Lore teachings.
  • Dream Weaving
    The magic in interfere, transform or even create dreams.
  • Electrokinesis
    The ability to conjure and manipulate electricity with one's mind.
  • Elemental Kinesis
    The ability to manipulate the elements (fire, air, water, and earth) using one's mind or small gestures. A non-verbal form of magic. Considered to be more advanced than Elemental Sorcery.
  • Elemental Sorcery
    The ability to manipulate the elements (fire, air, water, and earth) using words or short incantations. A verbal form of magic.
  • Elemental Summoning
    The ability to summon short-lived elemental creatures (fire, air, water, and earth) from Fronima using incantations, gestures, or spells.
  • Enchanting
    A pendragon born or practiced in the art of enchanting items with magical properties.
  • Healing
    The art of using medicinal practice and knowledge in order to treat everything from simple physical cuts and bruises to worse injuries, including those of the emotional and mental persuasion.
  • Hypnotism
    The art of entrancing another in order to rid of bad habits, or else to accomplish some other mental quest.
  • Illusion
    The magic-based ability to create semi-materialistic images through the projection of one's thoughts.
  • Inner Sight
    Similar to Seerism, Inner Sight is the ability to See things. Most often those with Inner Sight can See auras and ley lines as their connection with Fronima is substantial. Those with Inner Sight can sometimes come off as being mind-readers, and have been known to be at times, prophetic.
  • Necromancy
    The illegal art of reanimating and commanding deceased bodies to do one's bidding.
  • Pyrokinesis
    The ability to conjure and manipulate fire plus create friction (heat) with one's mind.
  • Shapeshifting
    The art of mutating from one form to another, or of changing sizes and substances, which takes considerable knowledge and skill.
  • Sightless Fighting
    The ability to fight blindly without the use of one's eyes. Sightless Fighting can be further divided into two categories: Physical, where the fighter actually uses their own body to inflict harm, and Mental, where the fighter uses their mind to inflict harm.
  • Telekinesis
    The ability to move and manipulate objects with one's mind using kinetic energy.
  • Telepathy
    The ability to communicate fluently via mind speech.

Sciences

  • Alchemy
    Also known as Transmutation. The chemical science and speculative philosophy aiming to achieve the power of transmutation (the conversion of one element or nuclide into another, either naturally or artificially), the discovery of the panacea (a remedy for all illnesses or difficulties), and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life.
  • Archaeology
    The scientific study of material remains (as fossil relics, artifacts, and monuments) of past Ramathian and alien life and activities.
  • Astronomy
    The scientific study of matter in outer space, especially the positions, dimensions, distribution, motion, composition, energy, and evolution of celestial bodies and phenomena.
  • Biology
    A branch of knowledge that deals with the study of living organisms and vital processes.
  • Botany
    A branch of Biology dealing with the study of plant life.
  • Chemistry
    The science of matter, as well as its structures, properties, and reactions to other matters.
  • Genetics
    The branch of biological study that deals with the hereditary constitution of organisms.
  • Geology
    The study of the earth and its many layers, as well as the history told in the rocks.
  • Herbology
    The study of plants and herbs for mostly medicinal uses.
  • Inventing
    The study of creating new tools that have never before been made.
  • Machina Technology
    The practical application, study and art of merging magika (a usable energy form of Fronima) in machines as their power source in order to create, maintain, and fix machina.
  • Marine Biology
    A branch of knowledge that deals with the study of living organisms and vital processes within aquatic environments.
  • Mathematics
    The science of numbers and their operations, interrelations, combinations, generalizations, and abstractions and of space configurations and their structure, measurement, transformations, and generalizations.
  • Medicine
    The science and art dealing with the maintenance of health and the prevention, alleviation, or cure of disease. The branch of medicine concerned with the nonsurgical treatment of disease.
  • Meteorology
    The study of the weather, as well as the ability to map and predict it.
  • Physics
    The science of the physical world, namely matter and energy, and their reactions.
  • Space Operations
    A person trained for spaceflight (piloting, navigation, safety, etc.).
  • Technical Engineering
    The art or science of making practical application of the knowledge of pure sciences, as physics or chemistry, as in the construction of engines, bridges, buildings, mines, ships, and chemical plants.
  • Teleportation Technology
    A person skilled in transportation in which matter or information is dematerialized, usually instantaneously, at one point and recreated at another.
  • Toxicology
    The art of mixing and combining various items in order to produce poisons which can then either be used to produce cures for various ailments, sedatives, pain killers, to harm, or even kill others.
  • Zoology
    A branch of biology concerned with the classification and the properties and vital phenomena of animals. Also the study of the properties and vital phenomena exhibited by an animal, animal type, or group.

Skills and Practises

  • Acrobatics
    The ability to perform gymnastic feats requiring skillful control of the body with artistic dexterity.
  • Acting
    The art, profession, or activity of those who perform in stage plays, films, commercials, etc.
  • Aerobatics
    The ability to perform spectacular flying feats and maneuvers while in the air.
  • Animal Breeding
    An involvement with the genetic understanding as well as the carrying-out of animal reproduction. Involves being knowledgeable on genes, pre and post natal care, and rearing of the offspring.
  • Animal Herding
    The ability to keep flock animals safe from harm by using staves, animals, or other means to keep them together. Also requires basic knowledge of herding area and its natural residents.
  • Animal Training
    Being capable enough with animals to teach them tricks, useful acts, and proper behaviors.
  • Archery
    The use of traditional bows and / or crossbows to shoot projectiles, the most common being arrows and bolts.
  • Assassination
    Extensive knowledge of weapons and tactics used to kill others - usually persons in power - for money.
  • Bribing
    The art of persuading somebody with an offer, often something illegal, in hopes to get something in return.
  • Cheating
    The art of misleading, eluding, or deceiving through trickery or swindling.
  • Climbing
    The act of climbing (ascending mountains, buildings, etc.) as either an activity, job, or sport.
  • Con Artistry
    The art of exploiting or swindling the confidence of another.
  • Cooking
    The often innate but likewise as often learned ability to either mix ingredients from scratch, or else a recipe, to concoct foods, drinks, and other gourmet artistry.
  • Dancing
    The art of using body movement to show emotions, stories, thoughts, etc as of form of expression.
  • Electrician
    An occupation that deals with the repair or installation of electrical fixtures.
  • Embalming
    The art of preparing the deceased for burial.
  • Escape Artistry
    The ability to break loose from confinement, no matter the situation.
  • Fighting
    The art of combat. Fighting has various forms and styles. Some forms deal with expertise with a particular weapon, whereas others deal with the body as one's only defence.
  • Fishing
    The ability to use hooks, snares, baits, and nets in order to catch fish. This trade requires ultimate patience.
  • Flying
    The ability to use one's birth-given wings in order to commandeer the sky and its different winds and drafts, in order to stay aloft as a form of transportation.
  • Forgery
    The art of copying another's handwriting and falsely or fraudulently making or altering a document.
  • Funeral Directing
    A funeral director (also known as a mortician or undertaker) is someone involved in the business of funeral rites. The job often entails the burial or cremation of the dead, as well as the planning and arrangement of the actual funeral ceremony.
  • Harvesting
    The study of how to plant, nurture, grow, and then collect crops such as fruits or vegetables.
  • Hunting
    The study of the many methods of tracking down and killing prey, including on both land and sea. Involves needing knowledge of tracking.
  • Illegal Artistry
    The art of attempting (though not always succeeding)in all matters that are considered illegal or immoral, whether it be trafficking illegal goods, services, or other deeds that are barred by society. "...there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." (Hamlet: II, ii)
  • Interrogation
    The fine art of ''questioning'' potential culprits about a crime.
  • Jemdrull Strategy
    Having extensive knowledge of the rules and game play of the Ramathian game, Jemdrull.
  • Leadership
    The study of how to be charismatic, confident, and otherwise leaderlike.
  • Lock Picking
    The art of using tools, or bare hands, in order to unfasten locks and other obstacles.
  • Menlo Strategy
    The study of the weaknesses and advantages of battle tactics in the Ramathian game of Menlo.
  • Navigating
    The ability to find one's way using maps and keys, including things as primitive as the stars or a compass, or as advanced as technological navigational systems.
  • Physical Education
    Education in the care of the pendragon body, including athletics and hygiene.
  • Piloting
    The ability to fly and take command of a space machine.
  • Plumbing
    The art of creating, cleaning, and repairing subterranean piping, as well as maintaining drainage and sewage systems, as well as septic tanks.
  • Running
    The ability to transport self via only the legs, and to excel at this subtle physical art.
  • Seduction
    The art of drawing sexual attention to oneself and making it the victims' sole focus, so that advantage can be taken.
  • Sharpshooting
    The art of commanding high proficiency in shooting firearms. All sharpshooters must have a background in the Uajeul Suksekul Russuleym (USR). Sharpshooters are not to be confused with snipers/assassins.
  • Singing
    The ability to use ones voice in a musical manner to produce songs out of words and sounds.
  • Spying
    The art of collecting information elusively, without revealing oneself.
  • Swimming
    The acquiring of skills such as underwater agility, lung capacity and stamina, different swimming styles, and even learning how to lead an aquatic lifestyle.
  • Tactics
    A person who is adept in planning tactics, the art or science of disposing military or naval forces for battle and maneuvering them in battle.
  • Taxidermy
    The ability to stuff and prepare dead animal skins so that they appear lifelike.
  • Tracking
    The art of following a chosen prey or quarry without being caught or identified, using simple methods, such as olfactory tracking, as well as more technological utensils, such as computerized, heat-seeking devices and the like.
  • Trapping
    A person who is excellent at setting and using traps for catching game or other animals.
  • Weaponry
    A person skilled in the invention and production of weapons, but not always necessary proficient at wielding them.

Social and Literature

  • Conversation
    The art of speaking to and with others in a casual environment.
  • Creating Stories
    The ability to come up with characters and a plot, and either write it down or speak it orally.
  • Debate
    The fine art of taking a stand on a two-sided argument, and backing your statement up with factual eloquence.
  • History
    The study of all that has gone before, as well as its application in teaching and other situations.
  • Journalism
    The study of recording news events via print.
  • Languages
    The analysis and comprehension of various languages and other types of communication.
  • Law
    The study and application of the governmental rules, in application to the justice of one's countrymen.
  • Oral Storytelling
    The art of passing on important historical stories, parables, and other tales via word of mouth, in order to preserve history, lessons, and advice.
  • Philosophy
    A thinker who seeks to understand and explain the nature of life and reality. Also known for acting calm and rationally in situations.
  • Photo Journalism
    The use of photos to convey information about a particular event, supplemented by minimal text.
  • Poetry
    The art of creating verse and poems through the use of words.
  • Psychology
    The intense study of the mind, and how it works, as well of all its sicknesses and afflictions.
  • Sociology
    The science or study of the origin, development, organization, and functioning of human society; the science of the fundamental laws of social relations, institutions, etc.
  • Songwriting
    The study of creating prose that can be accompanied to music in order to make songs.
  • Writing & Literature
    A person engaged in writing books, articles, stories, etc., especially as an occupation or profession; an author or journalist.

Spiritual

  • Astrology
    The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies in the belief that they have an influence on the course of natural Ramathian occurrences and pendragon affairs.
  • Empathy
    The ability to sympathize and comfort to a maximum degree.
  • Religion
    The practice of following, learning, maintaining, or spreading religion.
  • Seerism
    The practice of Seeing. The ability to be clairvoyant; prophetic.
